Crucial step! Give it a REEEEEALLY good tug between the braid and mono before you close it with the last half hitches. The braid should slightly change color and get a bit "watery" when it bites in to the mono.

I am curious about how light of lines can be tied using this tool? For example I use mostly 20lb Braided line and for mono leaders I range from 40lb down to 10lb line. I hope that it would also work with 10lb braid, and 10lb+ mono.

I use it with 10lb braid to 4lb to 20lb floro/mono up 50lb braid and 80lb mono and all lunes between its a great investment and easy to learn
