    Nice kit. This is definitely an upgrade. My belt kit will be a mix of aftermarket gear, Alice, and Molle 2

    Dang, was kinda hoping this review would tell me why this is worth almost $600.

    • @camakazi48
      @camakazi48  Рік тому +1

      It's not really a review. I am going over how its set up and how I was planning ot use it and showing some of the features. I have other videos showcasing its use and discussing how its holding up. As far as the price that's up to you if it's worth it or not. I find it to be an extremely comfortable, well balanced, durable piece of gear. It fits far better than any other h harness style rig I've used and just rides well. The helium whisper material I really like. The pouches are super well built,shed water and are rugged. The suspension system is super comfortable. There's no hot spots and I can carry everything I need to. I have a lot of other gear and have used a lot of other gear. For me, this is a good 80% solution and I'm glad I bought it. I find it to be really comfortable, practical and it suits my needs better than most of my other set ups. So it's worth it to me. When handling the kit in person its easy to see why it's more expensive than a lot of other kit. As far as 600 goes, well people in this same space spend that on pants. So really if it's wroth it or not depends on your budget, what you need from your gear and what you life situation is like. If you don't have a job where you need to use kit, don't train more than once a month and don't take any classes or anything and you just want a rig to have just in case to use once in awhile, you're probably better off getting something else. If you do really train a lot and require gear that's going to be at a higher level and you can swing the money than I'd say it is worth it. It's like the difference between an entry level ar and a more expensive one. You can get the job done with either but they're really not the same. Hope that helps.

    How did you get the mag pouch on the lid of the butt pack? Did you undo the stitching??

    • @camakazi48
      @camakazi48  2 роки тому

      No it has molle loops on the lid but they're too spaced out to molle it. I molled the top ones with the straps on the pouch so it was secured to those and then I put alice clips through the other loops and the loops on the back of the pouch

    How's reloading with retention using those clip Mag pouches?

    • @camakazi48
      @camakazi48  2 роки тому +1

      I don't typically reindex magazines into pouches. I stick them in a dump pouch, cargo pocket or drop it down my shirt and the belt holds it in place until I get time to top them off. Just never been something I found practical. However if you wanted to I don't see why you couldn't reinsert the magazine facing up. There should be enough room and the sides are decently rigid. Pouches keep their form with nothing in them

    • @camakazi48
      @camakazi48  2 роки тому +1

      As far as clip pouches are concerned reloading I have never found it to slow me down. I'd rather have the retention than speed. I've lost tons of mags in the woods or crawling or on the drop in in the speed type pouches. Most of my reloads have been done from the prone behind cover typically anyway. Just my preference

    what is the sizing and fit like?

    • @camakazi48
      @camakazi48  2 роки тому

      Believe it or not, I've found it to be the only belt kit set up I can actually adjust to sit balanced and comfortable. I didn't have to adjust it a ton for everything to sit right. I'm 6'5" and there's a lot of room up and down to adjust. It fits snug around my waist and doesn't ride up on one side or another like other belt kits. I leave about an inch of slack in the shoulder straps when it's tight to my hips. I also unclip the waist sometimes and just run it on my shoulders and it's still decent. Fits very similar to alice kit but the 6 point harness definitely balances the load way more evenly. I really like the fit. That's the biggest selling point for me on it compared to other belt systems.

    Overpriced m56/alice lbe?

    • @camakazi48
      @camakazi48  2 роки тому +4

      Depends what you're looking for. It's more comfortable, the pouches are lighter and a better material, buckles are more durable and it's more customizable. There's nothing wrong with alice but it requires a lot of tlc to make it even close in comfort or usability in comparison. It's better in every way but that's not to say alice is bad at all. It's updated alice kit. Improved alice kit. If comfort, water resistance, weight, durability, modularity are not worth the price difference for your needs I wouldsuggest you stick with alice. Really depends what you want out of a rig. They accomplish the same goal one is more efficient at it
