Come on Avihu!! Not true! More colorful beautiful piano sound than Argerich=Wilhelm Kempff Emil Gilels Artur Rubinstein Radu Lupu Vladimir Ashkenazy! More powerful louder than Argerich=Mikhail Pletnev( Prokofiev piano concerto no 1 by Pletnev!) The second Loudest was Lazar Berman! More genius than Argerich=Sviatoslav Richter Solomon Cutner Grigory Sokolov Maurizio Pollini Alexei Lubimov Stanislav Igolinski! Rosa Tamarkina played faster and more power already years 1937-1948!!
@Junior Rodriguez... I'm jealous too. What an opportunity to hear Argerich in person... and in this performance... wow! I studied and played classical piano for ten years decades ago. More than hearing, I >know< how difficult certain passages and pieces are. And genuinely great (not merely the technically skilled ones) pianists are rare. Argerich is one of the truly special ones. She has played slow and quiet pieces with unusual finesse; and the bravura works she has let sparks fly, not for mere effect but for life force animating the music. BRAVA! to Martha again, and kudos to you for having made the effort to go see and hear this performance!
Thank you for sharing. Because I'm an Argerich die-hard fan and you shared this rare piece, I subscribed to your channel. 🤗 And I love how raw/unedited the recording sounds, but still sounding clear and live, like I'm in a concert hall.
10.10 Abbado has the orchestra speed up to the tempo Argeeich wants to play the octaves so in this recording her runs are fully integrates rather than come as a surprise. It is quite stupendous velocity, unmatched.
Effectivement il y a quelques différences avec l’enregistrement sur cd de ce concert. Peut être qu’il y a eu une autre prise ou alors plusieurs concerts rapprochés au même endroit ?
Thank you for your comment. unfortunately, I stock only this one. but actually the concert of the same program was held for 3days which is 8, 9 & 10 December 1994.
Merci pour votre réponse. Il y a donc eu trois concerts consécutifs. On entend quelques différences avec le cd pendant la cadence du 1 èr mouvement par exemple. Si j’avais été sur place en 1994 je serais allé aux 3 concerts !!
The most musical Hurricane. There's none like her!

Her impeccable voicing on display in the cadenza, where it sounds like she's got at least 4 hands...
Explosiva trilogía Tchaikovsky, Argerich y el mejor del siglo XX Claudio Abbado. Genialidad virtuosismo e inmensa belleza.
I was there; it was electrifying!
You're so lucky! I'm so jealous
Was it at the Berlin Philharmonie?
@@franzliszt9799 yes.

The piano is really superb ! But, as for Abbado, whether with Argerich or Pogorelich...Tchaikovsky was never his strong point...
Thank you so much for your valuable comment Sir. Yes I understand. but I don't mind his Winter dreams with CSO w
Gergiev is for Tchaikovsky...
