Hi, thanks for the review! According to the IKEA manual, it should be possible to reset the minimum height: To change the minimum height or revert to the default minimum height setting, first move the blind to the top position. Afterwards, press either the up or down button on the blind twice. The blind will move slightly up and down to confirm the setting. Repeat the above steps to set a new desired minimum height.
Yep according to the manual but if you set it shorter and you want to make it longer than before you have to reset the blind. I couldn’t achieve it with the steps from the manual.
I had them replaced after 2 months because some of them malfunctioned but the new ones are still working after more than year and a half. I like them a lot. Also the controllers malfunctioned too and had to be replaced recently. The speed can be faster but it I got used to it.
Hi, Would you be able to let me know the dimensions of the base? The website only says 32" x 76 3/4", but I need the depth and the width as well. How much it sticks out from and down from the wall basically.
When they are fully opened e.g. the blind is at the upmost point and compressed to the ceiling, the distance between the ceiling and the bottom of the blind is 9 cm or 3,54” and the depth of the blind measured at the deepest part is 5 cm or 1.97”. But be careful because they need to be perfectly level and even then they may start rolling unevenly after few months. I’m on my second pair now.
Yes. Actually I’m using it that way because one of my remotes stopped working and I’m too lazy to go to IKEA to return it :) Still you can control them separately from HomeKit even if they are bound to one remote.
IKEA Home Smart 1. But it depends on what hub do you have. I have the old one TRADFRI. The new hub is called DIRIGERA and uses the IKEA Home Smart app. A bit confusing.
That is such a beautiful view out that window
Thanks 🙏 It really is!

beautiful view! i'm thinking of buying a pair, how are your blinds holding up 1 year on?

Do you need the hub in order for the blinds to work? Or would they work without it?
They can work without the hub. But you will not be able to control them from a smartphone or from HomeKit.

can one remote control multiple blinds?
Yes. Actually I’m using it that way because one of my remotes stopped working and I’m too lazy to go to IKEA to return it :) Still you can control them separately from HomeKit even if they are bound to one remote.
What is the name of the app

I disagree. When they work they are a really nice blinds. However when they not yes. I'm on my second pair now and will see where this goes.
