I once had a situation: I was carrying the dark red and magenta (that one found in waterfront complex) pearls up the Struts and I got chomped on by a lizard, dont remember if it was white or cyan. For some reason it later lost me, I return to where I was first caught and dropped the pearls, pick them up and leg it for the nearest shelter because the timer was almost over. Then, during sleep I discover I grabbed a rock instead of the dark red pearl and didn't notice. Thankfully it was still in that room next cycle, I suppose unique pearls spawn next to dens.
It’s slippery and covered in blood. And I only have the tiny hands that make it hard to hold round, slippery, small Pearl. Also, the whole stomach injury thing didn’t help.
I learned a lesson: never haul through underhang. Given that spearmaster doesn't have a stomach storage, it was a masochistic attempt. I've got perma stuck in the middle shelter, ended up devtooling out of this place.
For anyone who sees this and struggle with Spearmaster, don't rely on dual wielding. Dual wielding is great for fighting Scavs, Vultures, and large lizards like green ones but otherwise you're better off with a rock and spear. Throwing a rock first followed by a spear is basic lizard combat. The other is dropping behind them or forcing them to climb and stabbing them in the body by falling past them. You should always be keeping track of what item is in what hand. That is why you're expected to beat the game first so you know the power of rocks or vulture masks. Similarly you don't need to carry the Pearl with you, go out and get food them come back and get the pearl. Most regions have many shelters mid way through. When you kill stuff for the rest of the cycle you have less threats. Rocks are better at stunning and protecting you then spears when it comes to lizards which are the primary threat. Carry a rock and the pearl to stay safer, a lot of why people die is they carry the pearl and spear then throw it at a lizard's head barely doing anything.
Needing to go through the underhang with a grapple worm and the pearl is by far the worst part of the campaign. As far as I'm concerned, every other region is fine, because you can actually defend yourself from the spitter spiders, dropwigs, and (miros) vultures.

Yea, the cell is honestly really nice for the Submerged Superstructure but that stupid pearl is so useless and you need to carry it the whole rest of the game.
Luckily, my stupid ass went straight to Comms Array after seeing 5P so I can just passage back and forth. Still a really annoying process with that pearl though
Spear master is a nightmare, only having one hand when the only way to get food is by using a fresh spear, that you can't drop or you have to make a new one, is awful.

So, I completed Gourmand like a week ago and since I don't like Artificer and want to do Spearmaster last the campaign I can do is Rivulet, but I've been delaying playing it because I know 5P is full of Rot and there is NOTHING that sends me into a bigger panic state than seeing a Rot enemy in a room
You hate seeing Rot? Then I have a route suggestion for Spearmaster. AVOID GARBAGE WASTES AT ALL COSTS. It is freshly filled with all the rot Pebbles dumped in there. Not to mention the DEADLY WATER and dangerous enemies in general. And the rough platforming. 0/10, worst region, too difficult, not even fun. Plus, it’s not even necessary for progress or a good shortcut. I’d rather go through (redacted region because I shall not spoil you) than this.
Considering the game's lore, 0:12 type stuff wouldn't be a rare sight. Creatures would experience something they'd rather not be permanent and suicide all the time. At least if that interpretation on how the wonky and hole filled no one dies thing is correct.
I believe pebbles mentions that almost all creatures are purely instinct driven and aren't actually aware of the cycle, unable to live outside of their current moment of existence.

It happen to me durign the submerged superstructure part and I just said "I will get it later" and I keep exploring, in this middle time I found the place that the cell was intended to be

I hate how genuinely true this video is. I only ever lost the Rarefaction Cell twice, but the first time was to a while lizard stealing it and the second was when it rolled away on me in CHIMNEY CANOPY.
I got 2 colored porls, and I've been carrying them around painfully, because I don't know best way to carry them. so I've been pain stake fully carrying them manually
