Okay, so, I love the headcanon that Arti gave Pebbles the music pearl. It makes sense, a memento from a 'citizen' he grew to like despite himself and her inevitable ascension or death making him dislike all other slugcats because they won't ever be Arti.
Oh I love it too now! I had entire Arti playthrough focused on bringing 5P pearls and experiencing his availability for dialogue. It was actually suprisingly heartwarming, after his initial frustrations he gets used to your visits and seems to get genuinely attached, not to mention how honestly he talks about his experiences. He seems excited to see you, sometimes speaks (almost) friendly. Made me appreciate the character even more.

This is beautiful. How the Rot spreads, how Five Pebbles gives up his rarefaction cell to save Moon. And how Moon comes back to talk to him! The way you drew all of the slugcats, the entire story is so clear. And that moment with Saint gave me *chills* all the way down my spine. The ending made me cry.
The iterators are set up so that they cannot come into contact with each other throughout the game. Out of the hope that they can reunite, I made all four iterators meet each other at the end.😢
Everything about this is so unbelievably immaculate! I absolutely love the timelapse where 5P interacts with all the slugcats, and the ending of that section where he gets ascended is so impactful that I literally can’t stop rewatching it. Also, I don’t know if this was intentional, but it’s funny how the song goes “wa wa wa wa” when Rivulet appears for the first time

- Great are style - I do find it funny but great that the slugcats are just *blob* but the iterators are drawn so much more complex - Very detailed and lore accurate - The idea that saint also went to ascend the other iterators and not just moon and pebble’s is something i never really thought about in the canon but just makes sense - And the part where pebbles gets ascended but then plus the in game sound affect of triple affirming a creature was a nice detail and pleasant surprise.
I think Saint literally HAS to ascend everything before they do. In Buddhism, the bodhisattva is one who helps others attain enlightenment, or Buddhahood. Bodhisattvas vow to delay their own enlightenment so they can help as many others liberate from suffering (the constant cycle of life and death), before they achieve buddhahood themselves which leads me to believe Saint ascending all iterators (including Sliver of Straw) is canon, BUT the ending, where Saint tries to ascend themself isn't canon.. To ascend would be breaking their vow, to help others as much as you can. Bodhisattvas go so far to do this, their goal spanning multiple life cycles. Well, maybe the ending is canon. They were sent back to the start, to try saving everyone else again.
actually in the game it is hinted that Saint went to other Iterators' cans and ascended their puppets before going to Pebbles and Moon, as in the final scene where you see saint going back to sleep in Sky Islands, you can see destroyed cans in the background between the clouds.
he didnt ascend any other iterators, it is physically impossible since it is outside his loop. hell, he possibly didnt even ascend moon or pebbles, since if you go back after the loop is over, they're back right there. saint's campaign is different, since its the only one that doesnt actually ever end, its an infinite loop, the game itself even questions if the iterators are actually ascended or if its just a dream (which it is, a different rubicon iterator dialogue says so) An infinitely layered dream, saint truly barely has any effect on the world, stuck in his own dream world made of his memories, bound to repeat his path to enlightenment over and over again, he can spread the knowledge about his enlightenment, but thats as much as he can do.

So many cool things happening here I love the part where it shows a broadcasts and the iterators and then a parallel of this later, It's going upwards to Pebbles from Garbage Wastes to Pebbles, that's so cool The way it changes every iterator expression too, Moon collapsing on the panel where water becomes acidic, Suns now watching Spearmaster from the broadcast worried from far away, and NSH making hunter ON THE PANEL THAT SHOWS THE ROT Btw i love the way NSH is portrayed, he was shown silly all the time, but their expressions for when Moon is in danger are so,, ouch, it shows how much he cared for her. ALSO the sequence from SOS appears and the ascension symbol being unacessable because of the taboo followed by the engines powering up was so good. THEN when the part of the song of when the powering up happens repeats, it's now Rivulet raking the core, shutting off the power, in order to help the same Moon he had hurt when he increased his power/water intake I've also loved the whole slugcats sequence, the way Pebbles changes through the course of the slugcats, going from ripping a pearl out of Spearmaster to meeting Artificer then Hunter, then meeting and helping Gourmand, Survivor and Monk, to asking for Rivulet for help, and then there is the stunning transition the the ascension. I loved this so very very very much, it's so amazing in every part of it (Thanks for reading

With no exaggeration, I have watched this at least four times now, there is so much soul put into every single little detail and expression that I don't even know where to begin, the lineart and lighting is gorgeous and really makes everything pop, especially the more intense scenes, words cannot describe how much I love this video, you've managed to convey Five Pebbles' story perfectly. I would say "its not perfect, but its a masterpiece" but this is perfect on so many levels, sync with the music, lore understanding, the animation, and just the character designs.
This is honestly one of the coolest Rain World animations out there! Unfortunately I can't watch it all the way through (I'm avoiding spoilers for the Saint campaign) but oh my gosh I love it
This... this is outstanding. I have never seen a rain world animation even comparable to this, nor do I believe I will see one anytime soon. Every single moment, every single expression, every single detail is perfect. The Mind Electric took some creative liberties when it comes to the lore, you didn't. Even if I tried to be as critical as possible, the only thing I could nitpick is that we technically don't really know where Pebbles got the music pearl from, so Arti being the one to give it to him is an assumption. I've added at least a couple dozen views to the counter by this point, I've seen the entire thing at 0.25 speed and even now I still keep finding something new every once in a while. What a masterpiece.

According to rain world wiki there's a white pearl dialogue in Artificer campaign that reads, "A classical hymn from an early dynasty. It is very short and repetitive, but its archiving will please me greatly".
OHH THERE ARE SO MANY SMALL DETAILS IN THIS I ADORE The 1,2,3 in the beginning referencing the triple affirmative, the way whatever Pebbles was creating turned into the rot, THE WHOLE SEQUENCE WITH PEBBLES AND THE SLUGCATS ENDING WITH SAINT ASCENDING HIM??? THIS IS AMAZING
UGH THIS IS INCREDIBLE. I’ve probably rewatched this at least 5 times since I discovered it a few days ago, and I will probably rewatch it another 5 times afterwards. I may not understand the lyrics to the song or the subtitles to the video, but I don’t need too because the art gets every little nuance across perfectly. The expressions and posing are both absolute perfection, with an absolutely gorgeous art style. I’m honestly obsessed, thank you for this delightful treat
This is incredible!!! I keep rewatching it and every time I notice something new. There's too many fantastic moments to pick a favourite, but I adore the part at 2:16 especially. The terror and confusion on Pebbles' face when the rot ignores his commands is totally gripping. The idea of this godlike being who's always felt unchallenged in his power suddenly confronted with something he can't control growing inside him... it's the kind of spellbinding unique idea that I love so much in rainworld and you captured so perfectly. The timelapse of the slugcat encounters also flows so beautifully and of course the sheer raw impact of the ascension hits like a shot to the heart every time. I really can't express how much I love this video

2:49 I love the whole animation but I can't get over how much I love this part. The emotion is drawn so well and the song goes amazingly with it, and it all builds up to the ascension- it's amazing! This must have taken so long, DEFINITELY one of my favorite rain world animations! usually I don't like pupils on iterators but you did it amazingly here. Also, the slugcats are adorable!

The ending art has the implications that all of the present characters have ascended, as they all have what they wanted most and are all together. (Except Saint, for obvious reasons) Interestingly, Artificer is present despite being unable to properly ascend in-game.
I'm surprised how accurately you picked up on the metaphor of the final shot. Everyone closed their eyes and had their wish granted - they were all ascended, while Saint continued to free the other trapped beings.
I like to think that if artificer goes for the violence ending she remains trapped for thousands of cycles until saint just runs into her and ascends her on a whim and she reunites with her kids.

I just got this recommended to me and holy shit this is beautiful. your depiction of pebbles' ascension, with the sound effect from the game included, was especially amazing to watch. I also adore the details you add in each scene, like how the animation follows the timeline with 0:12 and 1:41 differing following moon's fall, SRS with (presumably) spearmaster in the former and NSH with hunter in the latter. even though it flashes by so quick, I like that you showed different scenes that their overseers saw as well!! plus, how distraught you draw pebbles is fucking amazing, he's but pixels in the game and you make him so expressive also watching gourmand get rolled away made me smile haha, absolutely love all of this!! :D

Everything about this is beautiful. I listen to it on repeat during my commute to work (it fuels my road awareness :p) The only issue I've noticed us at 2:08, NSH is the Iterator that made the slag neuron, but the illustration shows FP giving it to Hunter.

ALSO the sequence from SOS appears and the ascension symbol being unacessable because of the taboo followed by the engines powering up was so good.
THEN when the part of the song of when the powering up happens repeats, it's now Rivulet raking the core, shutting off the power, in order to help the same Moon he had hurt when he increased his power/water intake
I've also loved the whole slugcats sequence, the way Pebbles changes through the course of the slugcats, going from ripping a pearl out of Spearmaster to meeting Artificer then Hunter, then meeting and helping Gourmand, Survivor and Monk, to asking for Rivulet for help, and then there is the stunning transition the the ascension.
I loved this so very very very much, it's so amazing in every part of it

This animation has me with a single tear in my eye. It's so beautiful and really shows how big a tragedy the Iterator History is.
With no exaggeration, I have watched this at least four times now, there is so much soul put into every single little detail and expression that I don't even know where to begin, the lineart and lighting is gorgeous and really makes everything pop, especially the more intense scenes, words cannot describe how much I love this video, you've managed to convey Five Pebbles' story perfectly.

This... this is outstanding. I have never seen a rain world animation even comparable to this, nor do I believe I will see one anytime soon. Every single moment, every single expression, every single detail is perfect. The Mind Electric took some creative liberties when it comes to the lore, you didn't. Even if I tried to be as critical as possible, the only thing I could nitpick is that we technically don't really know where Pebbles got the music pearl from, so Arti being the one to give it to him is an assumption. I've added at least a couple dozen views to the counter by this point, I've seen the entire thing at 0.25 speed and even now I still keep finding something new every once in a while.

According to rain world wiki there's a white pearl dialogue in Artificer campaign that reads, "A classical hymn from an early dynasty. It is very short and repetitive, but its archiving will please me greatly".

This is incredible!!! I keep rewatching it and every time I notice something new. There's too many fantastic moments to pick a favourite, but I adore the part at 2:16 especially. The terror and confusion on Pebbles' face when the rot ignores his commands is totally gripping. The idea of this godlike being who's always felt unchallenged in his power suddenly confronted with something he can't control growing inside him... it's the kind of spellbinding unique idea that I love so much in rainworld and you captured so perfectly. The timelapse of the slugcat encounters also flows so beautifully and of course the sheer raw impact of the ascension hits like a shot to the heart every time. I really can't express how much I love this video

The ending art has the implications that all of the present characters have ascended, as they all have what they wanted most and are all together. (Except Saint, for obvious reasons)
Interestingly, Artificer is present despite being unable to properly ascend in-game.
I'm surprised how accurately you picked up on the metaphor of the final shot. Everyone closed their eyes and had their wish granted - they were all ascended, while Saint continued to free the other trapped beings.
I like to think that if artificer goes for the violence ending she remains trapped for thousands of cycles until saint just runs into her and ascends her on a whim and she reunites with her kids.

I also adore the details you add in each scene, like how the animation follows the timeline with 0:12 and 1:41 differing following moon's fall, SRS with (presumably) spearmaster in the former and NSH with hunter in the latter. even though it flashes by so quick, I like that you showed different scenes that their overseers saw as well!!
plus, how distraught you draw pebbles is fucking amazing, he's but pixels in the game and you make him so expressive

Everything about this is beautiful. I listen to it on repeat during my commute to work (it fuels my road awareness :p) The only issue I've noticed us at 2:08, NSH is the Iterator that made the slag neuron, but the illustration shows FP giving it to Hunter.
If you give the neuron to Pebbles they look at it then give it back, which is what I believe it's showing.
