Took the plunge and blind bought this based on your review. I’m 38, this is my new signature. I love that you can smell it on yourself all day. I’m not good with describing scents but something about this opening almost smells like mentholated lemon. It’s so uplifting, then the Elemi drydown adds a little creamyness. It’s addictive!
Started collecting at 25, smelt it and initialer identified it as an elders fragrance. Now Im 27 and i bought a 100ml for myself. If someone says i smell like their dad so be it 🤷🏼♂️😆
It’s always a pleasant surprise when I find a review from you while researching a scent that piques my interest. This was exactly what I was looking for, so thank you Ross!
Great Review: I have the 2017 and a couple bottles of the 2011 vintage version, picked them up at Sephora a few months ago, collecting dust in the top corner shelf. Both are stunners!!! Timeless.
Great review buddy. Omg I love this fragrance so much. Being 49 years old I was searching for a classy timeless perfume And i have now found it . Enjoy .
Love me some vetiver. Lalique Encre Noire A L'Extreme, Lalique Encre Noire Sport, Lagerfeld Bois de Vetiver. Vetiver and Iris were deff the first notes my nose was captivated by once my collection passed the first 25 acquisitions. Need to get Dior and Guerlain asap. Keep the content flowing my friend, and thank you.

Loving the suit man looking swave. In regards to my favourite vetiver, it has to be guerlain vetiver. I find eau savage nice but a bit boring. Guerlain's take on vetiver is my favourite and the most classiest. My fave man's fragrance has to be KOUROS by Yves Saint Laurent.
Kouros is my favorite as well. I seem to enjoy vetiver. I have a bottle of terre d hermes and a vial of Guerlain vetiver. Thinking of picking this fragrance up. Any comparison to the TDH edt?

I didn’t hate this fragrance, but I wanted to love it so badly as this review checked off every box. However, when I got my sample, all I could smell was licorice/anise. I confirmed it with several other reviews as well. There was no dry down no transition just straight black jellybean licorice root
This 2017 version is very good. But the 2012 OG is completely different due to the Myrrh note that makes it smell like an Amouage. 2012 OG is also a stronger vetiver note. It’s incredible. The 2017 is MUCH MUCH fresher and herbal smelling, and is still wonderful, but kind of doesn’t smell anything like the 2012. The 2017 bottle, it smells closer to the original 1960s Eau Sauvage, and less like the 2012 Parfum.

Then a very woody Vetiver comes in balanced with the creamy Elemi. It is not beast mode, but projects well for the first 3 or so hours with decent sillage.
