Welcome back to SnowRunner! Today I'm going to be checking out the newest Season Pass update which has unlocked 4 new maps deep in Amur Oblast, Russia. This area has some of the most difficult terrain yet and to make matters worse I'm tasked with transferring a massive space shuttle rocket in an area that has hardly any roads. Getting a large vehicle that has chain tires is going to make a world of difference getting up those hills. Also getting a gearbox to get all three low gears will help with both ascending and descending hills.
I know thus lovly face. Because I have a mod truck with that. I have only the low gears and yes it makes claiming sloaps quite a breeze
such a snowrunner expert but with no vids to back up their ;) expertise
@@TheStu9000 lol replying a year later.. It doesn’t take an expert to figure out that chains make a difference on ice and low gears slow your descent on hills
As a professional driver, can't agree more. As much as I hate tire chains, in this kind of scenario they are necessary.

the only thing i dont like about this game is that the vehicles go side to side exactly the same way and it's not based off of the terrain.

I honestly don’t think I have EVER clicked on a video those fast. I LOVE WATCHING THIS GAME

Drae: Doesn't show all the lead-up with clearing bridges and such cause he wants to show off the main final mission.

Honestly, I adore watching this game and will take every excuse to have a longer series of it! Keep up the great work Drae :)
I have planed to drive a twofer load of both planks and even steel for a pair of landslides. And both I want to fix because the original path I was forced to take is well, with my one modded in Alaska, but tbh I love using the halo hellcat (also known as warthog) and even that thing will get stuck as I only got road vehicles.
When he says this game is hard... ITS HARD. Need more content of this and keep showing how the game is pretty realistic.
tbh, I'd love to see a full playthrough of this, or just more content of any kind on this amazing game
Especially if you try to use a truck with chained tires to pull a trailer on ice ;-)
Two tips. One, you have a trailer view. It helps when doing superheavy loads.
And two, trailers have winch points, superheavy trailers have multiple along the side. Also helps a lot

Time to learn the art of trailer winching... You can select a winch point on your trailer towards the middle or especially the back and selecting a forward winch point (as far forward as possible) pull the trailer forward using that... It's like getting a push instead of a pull and it'll help a ton!

Hello 2021 people
In case you didnt know the first kolob you used is basicly UNSTOPABLE when you throw it on low gear and lock the diffs. Then it becomes a challenge to get it stuck. Allso saw you dont have the good gearbox, worth looking for just so you know.
you should get tire with chain which will help for grip on ice

If you connect 2 trucks and drive the lead truck you pull with both trucks
I did this in real life... I drove across USA for 13 years ... and I have hauled just about everything from new prototypes that had to be tarped or covered so no one else could see the design.... moved it from warehouse to warehouse.... to huge over sized loads that was over one hundred feet long... and loved every min of it...

Imagine trying to do this delivery with the chaos IGP and IcyCaress would've brought. XD
Normal people: build rockets in places that are easy to access, then drive them to their destination along tarmac roads
Russians: get a dodgy Canadian to drive it on the back of a truck over a mountain, while constantly sliding on black ice
I raise you by a hellcat able to pull a truck good
But speaking ya the game us quite hard. I have had a entire track of road that I can't pass normally without using the hellcat with it's extra low gear just because the tretch has no wentch points

You can manually choose the winching point from the functions panel instead of quick winch to any object in front of the truck

The winch isn’t what saved you. You turning off your parking brake saved you. 15:50

Hey Drae... i noticed while you where going up the hill that you only utelice the auto winching... if you are stuck and can't reach the next winch point you can use the manuel winching mode and use winch point further back of the truck and the trailer to inch forward. That way you can most of the time reach a new winch point.
Ya it's better than stuck on ice.
you want to use two trucks and have the front one tow the one attached to the trailer - put chains on the front one and that gives grip on the icy stuff - good luck!

If u ever get stuck with Ur trailer and don't have a useful winch point Infront of u winch from the back of the trailer to a point Infront of u to give u a push
Drae with almost no fuel carrying a trailer of rocket chunk past a slippery hill in snow runner is the same as Drae with no energy almost no health low sanity,temperature and oxygen in insurmountable as the scientist on the first mountain

In mudrunner I always use two trucks, one with petrol that is dragging second truck with logs behind.
I have only now unlocked all the bridges and landslides on the first map... uaaggggggg I hate this map but I love it so much

should have tried pulling the winch from the rear of the trailer to a pole in front of the truck

Well that was a huge woooooooooooooopBecause you forgot to put the dang chains on the truck
You should try to pull ureself forward by using a hinch point on ur trailer if u passed up a pole u can still like climb by it by using a winch point that isn't on ur truck but on the trailer. Just have to manually attach it tho. Good luck

Use a truck with chained tires like the DAN 96320 over that hill, problem solved. When venturing out on black ice with a heavy load/trailer and crappy tires even the most powerful trucks will fail. BTW: just delivered that very rocket assembly across that black iced hill with the vanilla DAN on chained tires to Cosmodrome...
This may have been the best nail biting, edge of your seat episode ever. Awesome!

XD I had to step away for dinner in the middle of watching this but I came back after playing the first mission of MudRunner for about 4 and a half hours. When Drae was going "Oh god, oh god, oh god give me a tree that is heavy I couldn't help but laugh because I basically had that but worse in MudRunner. I got stuck hauling logs through mud and every tree I could connect the Winch to was too weak and snapped before I'd get free. I ended up having to grab a big truck I found and a fule trailer to go tow my truck loaded with logs to the lumber yard.
I don’t know if I was more entertained or frustrated watching you play
Time for chains
Doing ice without chains is a hard mode. Also not using trailer winch points is harder. Ofc you cant use them while sliding back

Bit of weight on the rear actually gives more traction. Being to light tires can't grip. Even while going up hill
