At first, but then I was like "wait where is the manual transmission"? I loved the ability to stick shift in the prior games. I picked up the game today, and been playing for a bit, and I can't find it unless it's only on certain vehicles or buried in a setting some place. Very unfortunate if that's the case because the automatic transmission absolutely loves to kick down which makes you lose all momentum if not outright come to a halt.
I realize that Drae is a UA-camr and not a car guy but I can't help but burst a blood vessel while mentally screaming whenever he does something like ignore low gear or keep the wheels straight instead of wiggling them. With that little rant out of the way, I love the look of this game and I really want it. The physics are realistic, the graphics are beautiful, the trucks are accurate to their real life counterparts, and this is overall just a mind bogglingly impressive game
couple driving tips: 1. when you hit mud, shift into low range and the truck will crawl right thru without digging in as deep. leaving it in auto is what causes the truck to dig big ruts and sink. 2. you dont need to drive to the other vehicle you want, just switch to that vehicle from the map screen 3. driving in ruts is slow, always try to straddle the ruts or drive next to them
@@bingbong5939 I have not unlocked chains yet but I saw a hill climb video and without chains the trucks could not make it to the top of a ice covered hill. Granted that was ice not mud but short answer is yes chains make a differance.
Yup, if you avoid the ruts too much tho you’ll pay. The farm in the dam level of Michigan was the toughest bit for me. I got every vehicle stuck as the main way is just a massive mud pit and the fields are just too soft. So I had to go all the way around to get in with a scout. Granted i got the fleetstar stuck and navestar. That or the river crossing on black river at the top is super gnarly. A winch is the only thing to save you, off-road tires and a lift did nothing lol even no trailer

I actually just rebuilt the motor on my chevy c1500 its a 1989 where they did half fuel injected half corroborated. The interior cockpit view is exact in this game. From the childhood of riding to football games to getting my license to rebuilding the engine completely I love how even in a game like this I got to have memories like that flood through my head. I mean that interior was 100% exact to the two tone and everything trim wise. Wow.

I'd love to see a multiplayer series on this game like your Mudrunner ones, particularly with all of the tips that your comments are giving you. There's a lot in the game and it certainly would be a good time to experience and to watch.

I loved playing mudrunner. A few buddies of mine would play with me. The first guy always had it easiest on the muddy paths. The ruts would just get deeper and deeper the more guys that went through.

Fun game, shame it releases on that Epic games store.. why put a co-op focused game with a very VERY large steam community, on another platform? This means that if i wanna play with my friends, they all have to get the launcher, make an account they do not want to make, log in to something they don't want to use, on a platform that apparently says F U to modding communities... WHY. WHYYYYY
@@highlandrab19 You are missing the point my man, this divides people, as the friends that like to play these games that i game with, use pc. I only have a handfull of friends on playstation and none of them are interested in it. Plus, playstation does not have proper party's as they always either crash or glitch or whatever, so i love using discord. In any case i went ahead and got it on epic (sigh), game is great btw i just hate how the entire mudrunner franchise is on steam except snowrunner, it just makes no sense.
Please use the low gear more often then Automatik you probably would get through stuff a little bit easier but that said amazing video can't wait till the next one👍

90's Chevy's never had A.W.D., it was 4WD. Two different systems. 4x4 Evo 2 had that figured out back in 2000 for PC, Xbox, ps2, and Wii!

@Drae you can shift into low gear when in mud or water which will limit the power being given to your wheel increasing traction.
