In F1, every point means money, and they're not so petty that they would ruin their reputation over sour grapes. If Hamilton does better in the ferrari, then it would make them look worse. They would prefer him to be brilliant in Merc and then fall short at ferrari, which would make them look like the superior car. Mercedes don't gain anything from railroading Lewis. The only real comparison is between drivers of the same team. For this, you can see Russell has outperformed Hamilton in his first season at Mercedes. Last season Hamilton was better. This season, Hamilton is in fact ahead of Russell because of Russell's disqualification at the Belgian Grand Prix. So we can conclude these 2 drivers are evenly matched. There is no need for Mercedes to sabotage Hamilton. Maybe the team just communicate the WHYs to Hamilton less because he is leaving so it seems many questions are unanswered.

I have been a Lewis Hamilton fan for years. These suggestion about sabotage are paranoic. There is no doubt Russell is now the team's no. 1 driver in the same way that Verstappen is Red Bull's primary driver. Hamilton chose to annouce he was leaving for Ferrari. This made sense as it has always been a dream of his and he is coming to the end of his career in racing. I do not believe after all these years of success either Toto or the members of the team are there to purposly damage his car, choose a losing strategy for his race or undermine his mindset. He's had some bad luck and has made mistakes. I hope things look up for him in the remaining races as I'm sure the Mercedes team would welcome the points. Ferrari is looking better and better this year, so let's wait and see what he can achieve there.
The difference next year he will be in a red car a distant 2nd to Charles. He is not as good as was when he was WDC and has not shown he can adapt to the new cars with any consistency or confidence. Time is his only sabateur.

Russell was able to drive around the short comings in the cars handling. Hamilton is blaming the team for his poor performance.

Lewis's tyre strategy was supposed to get him the traction to pass Lando and Max, but he couldn't, or wouldn't, the strategy was further compromised because, for the first time ever, there were no safety cars at Singapore, something the team was banking on to give them the short stop needed to keep LH ahead. Why Lewis couldn't pass, in a better (he did nearly fetch pole remember) car on soft tires, doesn't make sense. It only took Max 4 corners to pass LH when he was on soft Tyres at AD2021. LH should have been able to pass easily, but he started falling back from the first turn. It was a strategy gamble, which he was part of creating, which didn't pay off. Not a conspiracy, not sabotage, just bad luck.
