Sometimes, we find that we are lost, scared. And we are always helped along. And finally, when all is said and done, we have to say goodbye to those new friends we have made. In some games, we can go back and see them once more. But sometimes, it really is goodbye. No matter how long I live, I will cherish the memories this game has made, and will never forget the time I spent with the friend I will never see again.

In OneShot: Solstice, he realizes this is all a game, that everyone he meets is fake. He wonders why he needs to save a fake world with everyone being nothing but code and programming, all for the fun of his god. He then manages to tame the world machine, making it go out of its code and reprogramming itself. I won't ruin it for you. Gotta play it for yourself to understand.

When all is said and done, you will never get the same experience. No matter how many times you play it over, there's nothing you will be able to do to get that same emotional burden, but if it brings you even the tiniest bit of solace, you know, deep down, Niko, and the virtual program of OneShot are both happy. The ending may have been bittersweet, but it was the absolute best you could've done... After all, you only had one shot.
I'm with ya, the game is best played as intended. In a way not playing it keeps the memory of Niko more special. The beauty of OneShot really is, that you only have One Shot.
I started crying the first time i heard this remix. I'm usually very jokey around this game, but this made me remember why I liked this game so much. The fun I had. The memories I made. The friends I made. I miss you so much.

Playing OneShot ascends Any Other Story Game I’ve Ever Played, words do not describe the feeling I felt while playing and after the story ended. It was true wonders I shall never forget. even tho as an 11 year old kid when it came out.. i never took much interest in things in the past and, i finally thought about it 5 days ago, and i was trying to search it up and see what it was about.. i ended up watching mark play it, i saw solstice before i even played it!, and i guess i disrespected the game for what it was, i saw how people felt about it through old 3 year old comments from beyond current day, so.. i bought it and even though i had already seen some thing's from it, i still wanted the connection with it, and the fact that the little guy said my name through a text box.. made me feel *happy* inside.. and even if i can't cry, the feelings i have, will linger on, both because i had never taken Oneshot into consideration at a younger age (currently 16 as of right now) AANND because i watched someone play it first.. soo you know what? ... Throughout these years I've been hugely into Undertale stuff and got all I could from it, never getting as deep into fan made content of OneShot, and oh man how I was wrong not doing that I guess.. this glare.. as you're paused and extending this.. quickly passing glimpse of reuniting with someone of such huge value to you.. Ugh no age can protect you from crying from love
while uncertainty about if things are real is ever present here on earth, it is nice to know that in the endless ocean of stars and galaxies Niko's existence (and the existence of anything you've dreamed up) is almost guaranteed

Coming back to this video after a year and revisiting the memories of this game is amazing, thinking of what I was doing a year ago to now, it's amazing how much people grow, this game was so spectacular and had such an amazing story with beautiful themes, and I really will cherish it, the lessons that this game teaches are inspirational, and it was nice revisiting it through this truly fantastic song
I genuinely sat and cried for 15 minutes when the I had to chose in the first ending. When I found SOLSTICE, I had to play the game in 10 minutes chunks because I could physically feel my chest aching... I miss you Niko... Never stop loving your life... ... Eat some pancakes for me... Ah yes... this helped me remember how broken hearted this game made me feel. I've never even played it. I just watched some UA-camr (I think it was something along the lines of Melonz) play it, and ever since, I feel like I can't look at this game and not be upset. But... as the music plays near the end, I can't help but also feel a sense of peace... Niko, You've never met me, but the impact you've had on me and countless others was felt. Live long. Prosper. And, maybe someday, we'll meet up with one another once again.
Y’know, whenever I restart the game through the magic of file deleting, I actually feel kind of bad, like it’s a really selfish thing of me to do to rip Niko away from their home over and over so I can spend more time with them; sadly, after resolving to never touch the game again and let Niko be happy, I got a new computer, opened the game, and pressed start thinking it’d only show me that image of the starting room (or whatever it does, I forget), however clearly my files of a save file didn’t save so Niko is back.. Playing OneShot was an amazing experience would be a Heavy understatement. Playing OneShot ascends Any Other Story Game I’ve Ever Played, words do not describe the feeling I felt while playing and after the story ended. It was true wonders I shall never forget. I wish there were more story games like this. Niko.. thank you for everything.

even tho as an 11 year old kid when it came out.. i never took much interest in things in the past and, i finally thought about it 5 days ago, and i was trying to search it up and see what it was about.. i ended up watching mark play it, i saw solstice before i even played it!, and i guess i disrespected the game for what it was, i saw how people felt about it through old 3 year old comments from beyond current day, so.. i bought it and even though i had already seen some thing's from it, i still wanted the connection with it, and the fact that the little guy said my name through a text box.. made me feel *happy* inside.. and even if i can't cry, the feelings i have, will linger on, both because i had never taken Oneshot into consideration at a younger age (currently 16 as of right now) AANND because i watched someone play it first.. soo you know what? ... Niko, take care my friend, i won't EVER forget you until the day i pass.. goodbye Niko :')

Throughout these years I've been hugely into Undertale stuff and got all I could from it, never getting as deep into fan made content of OneShot, and oh man how I was wrong not doing that I guess.. this glare.. as you're paused and extending this.. quickly passing glimpse of reuniting with someone of such huge value to you.. Coming back to this video after a year and revisiting the memories of this game is amazing, thinking of what I was doing a year ago to now, it's amazing how much people grow, this game was so spectacular and had such an amazing story with beautiful themes, and I really will cherish it, the lessons that this game teaches are inspirational, and it was nice revisiting it through this truly fantastic song

Ah yes... this helped me remember how broken hearted this game made me feel. I've never even played it. I just watched some UA-camr (I think it was something along the lines of Melonz) play it, and ever since, I feel like I can't look at this game and not be upset. But... as the music plays near the end, I can't help but also feel a sense of peace...

Y’know, whenever I restart the game through the magic of file deleting, I actually feel kind of bad, like it’s a really selfish thing of me to do to rip Niko away from their home over and over so I can spend more time with them; sadly, after resolving to never touch the game again and let Niko be happy, I got a new computer, opened the game, and pressed start thinking it’d only show me that image of the starting room (or whatever it does, I forget), however clearly my files of a save file didn’t save so Niko is back.. I kinda feel like it’s my obligation now to go through the regular run and then the solstice run again to bring Niko back home

Double edit: In one several hour marathon of both runs, Niko has finally been put back home. Woo!
