Hey thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it. I actually just use Canva. The thumbnails take me less than 5 minutes to make. This might help. ua-cam.com/video/FvfLHaOiyHg/v-deo.htmlsi=shD10hiy4ysEZfEh
First! Thanks for all the great info Jamie I’ve been following along while trying to start my business part time and I can’t thank you enough for the inspiration and insight, keep up the great work Jamie!
Biggest tip 3 reels air water and vacuum you wanna do this professionally you need those dont have the money for it get a job and save it... the goal is achievable
I use a google phone number. It allows me to me to filter out spam calls and you can send people to voicemail without talking to them. I may get a business plan in the future but google is free.
What does your basic exterior and interior detail comprise of? I may be pricing myself too low for what I’m offering so it would be nice to compare our services. Btw this is all great info!
His prices/services are probably on his website … I would assume. I would caution against comparing prices unless it’s in your region. Check your local detailing services and see where you stack up. As for what’s “basic”, it could be as simple as a wash and dry. Or as complex as a “wheels off” detail. Depends on what you consider “basic”. For me, a basic exterior detail includes wheels, wheel wells, tires, all jams, windows and full dry + sealant. 😊😊😊
I … kind of … agree and disagree with your opinions here. Mostly agree, though. The number one aspect of being a professional detailer is to know your craft. What does that mean? It means knowing about the materials you’ll be cleaning; plastic, glass, metal, painted surfaces, rubber, carpet, upholstery, electronic and mechanical parts, etc. It means knowing the equipment and products you’ll use for addressing those areas and why. So how do you learn all those things? There ARE apprenticeships available in most major cities. However, an apprenticeship is not necessary if you have friends and family who will let you “learn” as you go on their vehicles. Learn on your vehicles too. There are some who say there’s a difference from being a car washer and a professional detailer. There is no difference. Anyone who says otherwise needs to get over their ego. If you’re hand washing a vehicle for money, you’re a professional detailer. Full stop. It’s a matter of service level, not title. With all that being said, I’d argue the “get started” point of view. A bad detail can cost you, your reputation and likely future profitability. I say “can” because I’ve seen it. Most people wanting to become a detailer will possess some semblance of common sense … but not all. For example: not everyone knows that acidic cleaners can ruin glass or polished aluminum. 😊😊😊
I read the thumbnail as “3 Months Busted”. Thought you were getting locked up 😂
😆
Hey Jamie, your thumbnails are beautiful.
Can you tell me how you make them? We're in a different category so I won't be competing with you 🤭

Great video and great information.
Do you use your normal phone number for your business or did you buy a new number or use an app to provide one?
