Aerofoam L-39 The Maiden Flight

- This is the V1 I believe of this L-39 by Aerofoam. It has a VGood 32 esc and Changsun 105mm edf.

Awesome Job will. You had me nervous for a bit. My hands would have been shaking too. Very cool looking jet. Put some SMC HV packs in it. I can see it's looks a bit heavy or lacking power. Maybe just needs upgraded mod. Good call on getting her down & nice job at that. 👍👏
Thanks, Bill, I plan to put a jetfan EDF in it and change the ESC as well, that's EDF, that's in it is not as strong as it needs to be for the jet.

Outstanding job holding it together Will, I think my hands were shaking a bit right slong with you, but Bobby's calming voice must've helped a lot. I could definitely use him if you're willing to loan him out. 😂 But definitely try out the SMC HiV 5900's, weight only 740gr. I'm now using HiV's exclusively in everything and his 8S packs are outta this world, so have converted several 90mm's to 8S, almost doubling flight time but more importantly, taking the planes to an incredible new flight level. And you're certainly right, the fan needs more horses, as it seems to be powered by hamsters running in their circus wheel. 😊
Thank you @hughwiedman9711 Bobby @Rcplanereviewer did help me out keeping me from crossing over into panic mode. 😂 I felt like i was flying an edf for the 1st time. 😂 Oh and yes you are more than welcome to borrow him. 🤣🤣🤣 I have smc hp packs. I do need to try HVs as I'm sure it will increase the time. But I'm about to get rid of the Vgood esc and upgrade to a Hobbywing then possibly a Jetfan 110mm edf.
@@rcpilotwill Doesn't Bobby have one with the 105mm JP fan and different ESC in it? 🤔 Is there a big improvement that you noticed? His has a slightly different paint job if I remember correctly, but I think I like your scheme a little better? 🤗
What size batteries did you guys use AND next time please show the battery replacement a little better. Great flight.

Thanks. Maiden flights normally make you wonder a bit but that's usually on something about 9lbs or an 80 to 90mm edf. This thing is 16 lbs which took me to another level of nervousness that I had to overcome.

Awesome job man! I have def been there shaking like a leaf. It’s almost like the adrenaline hits once you land. While your flying it’s focus and a little fear. Great job man!

I agree it needs more thrust going with a Jetfan EDF however the big jets are flying faster than they look.
