Turnigy packs dont get enough credit! I have loved the Heavy Duty series with the only issue being the weight. Keep in mind tho that There is no memory in lipo chemistry. The purpose for break in is to burn off storage chemicals that can actually cause the cells to puff. 5-10 cycles is good enough but if you can do 15-20 its even better. Also the gooniac burner will never interfere with the battery balance or hurt the flight times. LEDs dont use enough for it to matter. I need to do a show on this
You're right they don't give credit to these packs but I'm a believer now 😆. I figured I'd fly without simply for the review as some rc pilots may not have any afterburners by choice. Also yes you should definitely do a show about lipos.
Good review, thanks ! I have never used Turnagy Batts before , just got 2 “other” brands and while the do hold up to a 4 min flight in the F22 they do sag pretty bad under full Throttle
Love reviews like this. Shows a test on whats internationally available to all RC pilots and what is probably a very popular lipo brand choice. What are you using for battery voltage telemetry on your IX12?
From a honest opinion I really like this pack it's powerful and holds up to the maximum throttle passes very well. I'm using the voltage telemetry cable that comes with the Spektrum receiver.
I'm not sure it'll physically fit with the wire and the canopy closing. I struggle with 4000 8s but I have one slid further back than the other to get the CG as per book. 4000 7s and I'm more tail heavy
I just picked up a second hand 90mm F-22 setup for 8S. What do you think would be the maximum sized 4S batteries I could install, assuming I'm using two? Thanks
@@rcpilotwill totally makes sense. I appreciate the clarification. What would you run in it being an 8S setup? SMC makes 8S batteries, but it’s currently running splitters for dual 4S’s. I’m guessing two 4S would probably not be working as hard as a single 8S pack since they’d be sharing the load.
Great review Will, awesome flight! keep up the good work. really enjoyed it, thanks Robert
Thanks, Robert
Beautiful flight like the nose gyro need to update some receivers
Beautiful aircraft sir! Beautiful flight!
Thank you

Good stuff!! I just had my 90mm raptor at the field yesterday! It’s an amazing flyer. Probably my favorite jet!
The F-22 is my go to flyer.

Nice video will! Question do you think that 6200 pack would cg in the 80mm Rafale? I’m thinking of trying it out .!
You would have to move that mixing box wiring out the way and probably even take the wood that the box is on out so you can have more room to get CG

@@M4rkmcc21 I’ve only ever used a 6s 5000 so it would be great to get a little bit longer flight time.
@mountainr.c. are you using trust tubes
@@rcpilotwill yes I am. I actually cut off the stock ones and put on 3d printed ones like Jon from 2 bros.
I have tried 5300smc
SMC are good packs but these are just as good actually I like these HD packs over my SMCs. Honestly you can't beat the price on the Turnigy.

I'm sure it can fit 6000s easy just get your CG right
@@rcpilotwill twin 6000's for a total of 12000 or two 3000's for a total of 6000? Thanks
@@ltk20 2 4s 6000s will make 8s 6000mah total cause it connected in series. But 2 4s 6000s in parallel connection will make 4s 12000mah.
