They were called The Del Rubio Triplets, and dressed alike even when not performing, lived in the same house together all their lives (never married) and performed for 50 years (though not "discovered" until 1987, at an underground art party) until the first of the trio died in 2001.
I remember seeing these sisters on various shows including this one, which cracked me up. I knew they were older, but I had no idea they were as old as they were: born 23 August 1921. And It's sad to learn that they are all gone. Edith died 16 December 1996 aged 75, Elena died 21 March 2001 aged 79 & Millie died 21 July 2011 aged 89.
They appeared on other TV shows, most notably "Pee Wee's Playhouse," "Married With Children" and, billed as "The Donatello Triplets," very appropriately (I could almost see "Blanche, Dorothy & Rose" having done this) on an episode of "The Golden Girls" that guest starred Bob Hope. I wonder if there are other, older, singing & musical instrument-playing sister (or brother) acts like The Del Rubio Triplets out there, just waiting to be discovered?
Describing them as “old lady triplets,” is the height of ignorance. They are The Del Rubio Triplets, and had a huge following. Show just a little bit of respect.
This show was as corny as a bag of candy corn, which isnt real corn. I have to add that in cause some smartass out there will remind me as if i didnt know that.
When I hear that song on the radio I always think of these three awesome amazing women.

Yeah also they were on the Golden Girls they sang Neutron dance.
That's quite a gap of years between deaths, especially Millie outliving the others 10+ years.
I just went on this info journey a few minutes ago! It made me oddly sad.
