I bought and luv' the albums Freedom of Choice and the New Traditionalist when they came out.. I was a long haired rock n roller into Led Zep, Aerosmith, AC/DC etc. Their so underrated, I want to nominate them into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame!
I was fortunate enough to see them in the mid-80s when they were touring the NEW TRADITIONALISTS and OH NO, IT'S DEVO! albums. The shows were incredible.
I am 21, my dad showed me these guys years ago, Honestly great performers let alone the dope song. Makes me kind of wish I was around at that time. Cheers to those of that generation, I’ll find the greats of mine!
Their drums were always the most important part imo. The constant high hat beat here drives the whole thing. Always stuck around Devo just to appreciate the drums, in addition to the rest. Same thing with a band like The Feelies, the drums are just too good.

I was in 6th grade when Devo appeared on 'Fridays'. I loved everything about that show, especially their music guests. Devo definitely cut their own niche!!!

DEVO belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Even though there are only three of them remaining, they were a force--both musically and theatrically. Fuckin' Alan Myers--the "human metronome." That guy never stopped moving. Best rock and roll concert I've ever attended.

I remember that. There was a loca lweekend tv show on kron called SFO. Devon appeared on that tour and performed/were interviewed.
I loved it when they incorporated treadmills into the act.
That tour was the first time I saw Devo and my mind was blown.
