Hey Erik, what is your opinion on a reel for a surface iron reel i.e. 16 or 20 Torium. I know a lot of personal taste goes into everything. I plan to fish spectra and top it with 100+ yards on 40 mono. My real question is: does the width of the spool come into play on the amount of line come off and shrinking the diameter of the spool on a narrow quicker and does that hurt the retrieve speed?
Hey Eric, I saw one of your videos some time ago on reel maintenance. You were using an ultrasonic parts cleaner. I too service my reels myself and was noticing some of the brass gears could be cleaner. I'd like to buy an ultrasonic cleaning machine for myself. Do you have one you would recommend?
