Do you know that 21:9 aspect ratio let you see more at once!!!??? Focus on the difference between 21 and 19.5!!! It same for the second number but different for the first! 21:9 Vs 19.5:9
The only phones I've ever owned: Xperia Z3, XZ Premium, and now the X1iii. Extremely disappointed the X1vi isn't available in the US. Was planning on getting one. Please make it available!
Actually if you bothered to pay any attention neither the battery nor the camera are the same at all. Not sure how you arrived at that conclusion. They clearly state it's a different battery technology. More dense. And that coupled with a lower energy eating display will give about 2 days battery life. mAh are not the only thing that matters in a battery. I could also point out how the camera is actually quite different (not to mention a single incorporated camera app now) but clearly you just ignored all the clearly stated information.
19,5:9? Not in the slightest. In many hands 19,5:9 is just a big chunk, nothing more and nothing less. Those 21:9 6,5“ screen were just perfect. Hopefully at least the Pro-Series will keep this aspect-ratio what Sony used to be known for…
@@I-Yuzuki-Iexcept that all other manufacturers use that aspect ratio. Do you see many other making phones with a 21.9 aspect ratio? There's a reason for that. Same goes for a 4K screen. Neither feature was helping Sony sell more phones now was it? If Sony doesn't move more towards the mainstream and start trying to actually sell more phones that have broader appeal then Xperia will cease to exist.
@@Sabundy sometimes companies have to find their niche to thrive, that's what sony tried. The mainstream is very saturated and I believe that Sony has to stand out with features like the 21:9 screen without rounded corners!, cameras and a headphone jack
@@namenloserflo except....it's not working. There are recent reports that Xperia sales are tanking in Japan. Stop and think about that. Sony can't even successfully sell phones in its home market. So how will they do so elsewhere? So how has that niche worked out for Sony? Clearly it's not working otherwise they would be selling more phones. Where Sony needs to stand out is in the user experience, the services and apps, and the cameras. The vast majority of people don't care about 4K on a phone or a 21.9 aspect ratio. They care about the user experience. Ease of use. Useful apps and services. A good camera that works easily etc.....and if Sony doesn't address those issues and start to make phones that appeal to more people then Xperia may end up going out of business.

I'm still using xperia 1 since 2019
I'm still using xperia 5
But Xperia 1 battery is too small. You need 5000 mah today
@@arx117
I think that's enough, I use it every day for work from morning to night and the battery has 20% left. I never carry a charger while working
Maybe if it is used for playing games it will be less.

Me three. Might upgrade to 1 V if the 1 VI loses 21:9 and 4k screen
Many are saying Xperia phones are underrated, but honestly, I don't think they are. The problem is how Sony markets their phones, most people today only know Apple, Samsung, and now Google, but those who do know about Xperia know that they are good. Problem number 2 has also been the price.
I agree.I feel that if Sony made their phones more widely available, lowered the prices a bit, and then spent some money to actually market them well then they would sell more phones....
FACTS!
Apple and google made in China so better dont buy. Only Samsung and Sony
I mostly agree on everything you've said, but the main problem for Sony Xperia are 3 things.
1. availability
2. price
3. manual mode for photo/video is great to have, but most of people just want to click one button
Others : Just do it
Sony : Just did it

This Xperia phone sounds so promising and a huge upgrade from my Xperia 1 III, so excited for this!
Still using the Xperia 5, and still have a great battery life for an old and compact phone.
Have been using XZ Premium for 7 years extensively as my one and only unit for mobile communications, as a portable music player, for car navigation and tourist map display. No problems whatsoever, still very quick in response. Sturdy and reliable phone. Battery is on 83 % of its health which is almost unbelieveable after all these years. Heat, freeze, snow, rain, occasional falls - nothing can stop this little gem. This year I am going to buy Xperia 1 Mark VI, my ❤XZP will be retired with great honor..... 👍🙂
My XZp had to be retired because the carrier I had to switch to in the US needed it to be a 5G phone. I cant wait for this!
i had one too this was a beautifull and snapy phone, if i could buy a new one now for good money id buy it back i still have some noisecanceling wired earbuds that are awesome
I also still use my Xperia XZ premium and it's fantastic.Along with my Xperia 1II...👍🏻💪🏻
The fact that they have completely omitted screen resolution is kind of suspect 🤔
Mine died late last year after almost 6.5 years of service, been rocking the 1V since. No regrets.

Tired of samsung and all other droid phones.. hate apples ecosystem and overpricing.. imma try this one.. no regrets if this is cheeks.. haha
Sony doesn't care about their customers unlike Apple and Samsung. Buyer beware. Good phones though.
Sony's phones are overpriced too though
Just stick with your Samsung ... Sony has a great camera but not so great for smartphone.. because you still need to toggle the camera settings like a manual camera and overall durability of their product is little .. #coming from an Xperia user .. the Samsung flagships do better !!
@@ogolotammy3041 Agreed. My 1 V is still going strong thankfully but there are so many minor issues that eventually add up. My next phone's probably going to be a Samsung.

Give us a new tablet SONY...come on....expand the Xperia brand into more products. And how about new form factors like foldables? Why is your mobile range so sparse?
Smartwatch
@@stevechannel6856 among many things.
🤗
Probably because their customer base is so sparse tbh. Maybe if Sony's mobile phone marketshare were enough to get them out of the "other" category they would be willing to invest more. I personally would love to see Sony get a stronger foothold, I for one am finally going to switch with the launch of the 1 VI, but I don't think the market agrees with me. Could Sony _afford_ to do it? probably. Would a tablet or smartwatch made by Sony be really cool? probably. Would it be worth it to Sony to invest in those products? Only they can say. Here's to hoping they're willing though.
I think they are the one who sell some parts also in other brands 🤔 thats why they dont bother to compete with others

Still using OG Xperia 1 (2019). No 4k and no 21:9 aspect ratio means I'll just upgrade to 1 V.
Seriously this phone won't be released in the United States? I've been trying to upgrade from my Galaxy s10+ that is 6 years old and still have a microSD and an aux jack. I've been waiting for the Xperia 1 VI and now Sony is pulling out of the U.S. market? Is this true?
Yes gonna trade my s23 ultra for this

Will 5 also get a VI soon? I'm with the first 5 (before the Roman numerals were added) and looking for an upgrade, however the 1 is a bit too pricey . I remember 1, 5 and 10 realising at the same time ISH
I've been a big fan of Sony since my first Sony Xperia E, Xperia M2 and the A7 series. hope you can come back to Indonesia or at least have an authorized dealer.
Not even QHD+ screen. What is going on? Sony doing cost cutting?

Xperia 1 VI
why are you so sure it will be 1 VI? there was no number VI/6 in entire Xperia franchise history, that is 15 years long

it will be a great phone....but will barely sell as most people don't even know Sony makes phones, and even if they do know then almost certainly Sony does not sell their phones in their country. As Sony sells their phones in only a small handful of countries.
spot on with your comment . my last Xperia 1III . I had to purchase from Germany as they won't sell in Ireland for some stupid reason. you can't even order from Sony Ireland . but they could be huge in the phone market
@@joesoap7335 I live in Korea and had to purchase my Xperia from Singapore. As you say.....it's ridiculous the countries they don't sell in. Not selling in either Ireland nor Korea makes no sense whatsoever. And as you say.....we can't even buy direct from Sony....
@@joesoap7335Harvey Norman have Sony phones. Got my 5iv from them.
Most people don't buy Sony since they don't have them at AT&T and others since they aren't sell outs to getting more Bloatware on their phones besides what makes it run
I am still very happy with my Xperia 1 V i don't think to upgrade to this one
There's only 2 thing was changed
Snapdragon 8 gen 3 and screen ratio. Other will be same
12 GB RAM
512 GB storage
Same with me, i will stick with my 1V till the VII comes. Only differences i see is greater zoom, aspect ratio change and a screen downgrade. The software features , I am sure we will get in the future updates. I really wish they add the Exmor sensors to telephoto and ultra wide lenses too instead of extending zoom range.e
And oh, they should bring the SD card slot too.
I also have the 1 V. I decided to tap out after this one. Not because I'm disappointed in Sony, but, because as much as I like them, I can't keep affording their $1,000+ phones. I decided the V would be my last (at least for now), knowing not much has changed with the VI gives me the peace of mind that I'm not missing out and ended on a good one
Thinking of the Google Pixel or the Nothing Phone when I am ready to upgrade again
For the quality its a big no. Its just over rated. When you lose the quality when zoming it is wrong to compare it with the 1v.
Please bring your phones back ro Australia 😢

I'm ok with no 4k screen, but dropping 21:9 was such a sad news. 21:9 is the reason why i love Xperia 1/5 series since the mark I.

Cool. Same 5000mah battery with same slow charging as previous models. same camera but without the 4K resolution screen. can't wait to pay £1300.

@@I-Yuzuki-I But it's the only way to lower the price and have LTPO and more brightness. Making a 21:9 4K screen with the same features will just kill xperia
