Guitar Dad Advice #14 - Be a Tonechaser

The Carl Martin Plexitone with my EVH Frankie works with the Fender Bassman. My Ibanez JS kinda doesn’t. Be mindful of what sound you’re looking for and how to get that sound with the amp and pickups you are using. Sometimes it pays off to have two overdrives on the board and it definitely pays off to try different pedals with YOUR amp. It’s the combination of amp and pedal and pickups that makes or breaks the tone you’re looking for!
