You have no idea how good it feels to watch gear demo without all those :
"HUH SO HELLO my name is john, here is my new gear, blah blah blah" *tries presets for 2 seconds, then back to talking* "blah blah blah, let me just talk about useless facts you already read on the internet before watching my video".

Right on. Nothing sweeter than seeing that "(no talking)" note on a video title. Sometimes I wonder if most "reviewers" forget to mention if they're reviewing their microphone too sheesh

Very impressive, I was surprised. Especially the rotary effect is killer.
I like this multi effect. Sound feels so naturally like stomp box pedal 👍
I use a GT-1000. Out of the box the sounds are gig ready. I've found the sounds are better than I can create.
Then you really should at least , want to learn how to edit it.

Wah, tremolo, rotary, sound great. I used the GT10 for years, and man I just can't stand those OD/distortion sounds.... There's just something missing. These units are so versatile and great pieces of gear for what they do. But I'm glad I watched this while putting together my new pedal board, because I still wouldn't go for the new one personally... thanks for this.

Sounds amazing but remember these are factory setting after they have been tweaked on for hours and hours it doesn't sound like that out of the box I have one it took some time but now mine sounds unreal amazing tone

Hello! I want to ask 2 things about GT-1000.
First, Im rarely using the bluetooth function, but yesterday when i was practising and I wanted to use metronome, i was trying to control the metronome via bluetooth and i coulnt see any choice that you could control it, even turn it on or off. Im the only one that cant use the metronome via bluetooth or its not an option at GT-1000?
Second, Its really weird for me that i cant store 2 patches with different output select. For most of my patches i use the "Recording" OUTPUT, however I really love the cleans of the JC-120 with the output of JC-120 return (its a lot different than when i have the output on "recording") , but seems that i cant store it, as when i change the outpout , it goes for all the patches.. Is it strange that such expensive unit doesnt have this function or I am doing something wrong?
Nice video I'm thinking about getting one of these how do you think it compares to the fractal? Better worse the same any benefits to getting one of each etc

Like the boss Gt 1000 effect sounds
I've used various Roland, BOSS, Headrush, Line 6, Peavey, and DigiTech Modellers/Multi FX over the years, and this seems to sound as good as any of them. I have to admit I've never tried Fractal, or Kemper.
The day you try kemper you won't look back again. It is the best. I have had fractal, helix and GT-1000. Kemper is the best.

@@mrbungle8493 I am happy with the effects, they are good, although they can improve. I think the best one in fx is fractal. But the reverbs of Kemper are really good.
@@mrbungle8493 I have an axe-fx. I prefer the versatility of the Axe-fx. The Kemper is amazing when it comes to amp emulation. The axe-fx is amazing if you want effect versatility and creating sounds that haven't been done before. I own the gt-10 and I can say with certainty that this is better.

Are your user setting available ??? They sound really good !
I am very Old school and have used Boss products for years and I have a Roland jc -120 would this be easy to use on a Gig? The hold back for me and with mult-ieffects units is going into all the menus for editing rather than just turning knobs . Alot of the multi-effects units sound thin and require deep editing!.
Not bad at all, and not at all as bad as people say it is. Infact some sounds very good. The price is kinda high though.
Question. Hope you reply : how did you make all presets volume same? Coz I hv gt1000,, the first time I unbox it the default volume for all presets r random..

The presets sound way better then the stock presets of the Kemper and Line 6 Helix, its like they didn't even try and just expect you to tweak everything, and the volume jumps aren't as crazy between presets on the Boss. I got some great tones out of my Line 6 but it required using a computer hooked up and hours of tweaking. Theres only one good cab on it too.

Are these the presets that came with the version 1 firmware? I just bought a new GT-1000 and it is Firmware 3. I would like to find the presets you show.
What is the best way to use this(or the Boss me-80) at home? How would be the Sound with active FRFR-Speaker?
Or is it a good way too, to put it over a interface into homestudio boxes?
And last question: If you put it into an amplyfier, you need the fx loop?
wich guitar are you use? and, wich pré amp GT100 is similar to Fender Deluxe Blues?
This demo makes the Boss unit sound far superior to the HeadRush unit. I have the ME-80 and hope to someday move up. This sounds like the best choice among the $1k + units hands down.

Hello , I know this is an older video but could I run this pedal with just a good pair of powered speakers ? mostly just for home use ?
Cam you use the guitar drive effects , and use like bass preamp/ effects with to not loose the low end please?
Quite a few changes in GT-1000 - finally there are XLR outputs and the switches resemble those in high-end units (The old plastic switches weren't bad though IMO). Unfortunately, there is still that dumb power adaptor, which I HATE since GT6!! For a $1k unit they should have made a built-in power supply.

Great demo but I had one and sold it a.s.a.p. The few amp sounds didn't do much for me. The device was noisy, mushy sounding and while many people rave on about Boss effects, overall, the effects didn't do much for me either. The noise gate was useless as I had to turn it up a lot but then it strangled the signal. I just couldn't get a great amp sound without adding overdrive which pushed the sound into mush-territory. The Boss demos made it sound good. Not sure why mine sounded so bad. Support sucked and there were routing features missing that I had expected from a pricey monster like this. I then bought a Hotone Ampero instead - and I'm sticking with it.

What a player...loved the guitarist more than the unite...this kind of guitarist could make sound a microwave oven..by the way this unite sounds great..but still cold to my ears as any Boss product..yeah as usual i know its a cliché but true...lol
What interface did you use and which one would you recommend for a Zoom multi fx pedal?

Someone else is extremely tired of just ok sounds? Yes, it sounds good, just that. But his price makes it absolutely worthless because exists Fractal or Kemper or Bias. I know it is hard to accept to many people (in fact I use a UX2 and its just ok Pod Farm) but come on... Complete Waste of money

Everyone seems to be making assumptions without trying it.
The only thing is it does take quite a bit of audio knowledge to get the best out of it whereas the Helix is very intuitive and easy to use in comparison.
I am with you on this. I have had most of the GT's since their early days, they WERE great. Think they have been overtaken by Line 6 .... surprising as Roland are MASSIVE
@@colinhodson9443 talking about Katana? Yes, last night I was in a Dire Straits tribute concert in a bar. The guitarist, friend of mine, used the katana combo (50 watts): Outstanding sound.. smooth and clear.
Boss will not give you all their pedals in one package like line6, head rush and so on. Those patches are nice and nothing else.

Having just purchased my own GT-1000 (and SY-300) , I decided to check out as many UA-cam videos on the unit as possible. ALL have something to offer, even yours.
But, If there is no download for the patches (or any verbal explanations for the recipes for the patches ) you used in this video, you should do a DEMO with the PRESETS, instead, that way EVERYONE can follow along with the dynamics of each patch that MATCHES EXACTLY the patches you're using.
Yes, you DID BEGIN with the Preset bank, but by 1:20, you had abandoned that part of the unit and jumped over to the USER bank, which is not likely to be the same in anyone else's GT-1000. My unit, for example---right out of the box---came set up where the User bank was IDENTICAL to the preset bank, I suppose to allow me to tweak the preset sounds to whatever algorithms I want to use without having to jump from the old bank to save in the new bank, since I'm already there in the user bank.
But by using the USER patches that NO ONE ELSE has ---assuming the ones in your user bank were programmed by you---no one can follow along since they do NOT have those patches.
That is, EVERYONE has a P03-3 "Purple Drive" or a P06-4 “12 String”, where they would have had fun playing along with your video; but by using the TOTALLY PROPRIETARY USER bank, NO ONE can tell the EXACT recipe of what you're doing---they'd have to just guess. They'll just turn their guitars down, while they watch you demo patches THEY CAN'T FOLLOW with ANY EXACTITUDE.
It demonstrates that YOU KNOW the unit well enough to demo it, and that's awesome, and you should get an 'A' for the project. But if it was intended to be "helpful" (not necessarily a step-by-step “tutorial”, per se, but rather “Here's what you ALREADY HAVE; what you do with it, is your choice; the sky's the limit”) to the NEW user, the grade would have to be an 'F', since no one can follow because they don't know the "recipe" for the patches you were using.
You could have EASILY demo'd AWESOME PRESETS, which, I believe, would have made a MUCH BETTER VIDEO! As is, the video was somewhat entertaining, and yeas, it gives the viewer some ideas, I grant you. But helpful? Not really.
