this is the kind of man Scott Stapp is...my friends wife was dying of brain cancer..and a huge Creed fan...friend of a friend knew somebody..long story short..Scott called her personally and talked to her. She didn't make it til the tour date before she passed but that brought such great joy to her in her last days. A complete stranger to Scott but he took a moment to put a smile on this woman's face!

He's telling a personal story here, struggling with overcoming feelings of hopelesness. His Faith helped him turn it around. He's being open and honest about his struggles and it can help others.

The discussion shouldn't be about Creed or Mark, this is a separate project about Scott's personal struggles. Creed may be back one day, and I hope they are because I love the guys. Mark is happy doing what he's doing right now, and he's darn good at it. Just enjoy the material we get from Mark while in Alter Bridge and Tremonti, and lets appreciate this very personal work by Scott.
Scott, as a Christian brother who has struggled with my own demons, I can sympathize with you. It's only by God's grace and His strength that I can make it through another day. God, Satan, Heaven, Hell; it's all real people. Don't waste your life, you only get one. God bless you Scott, love you brother.
Scott Stapp was raised in a very sercle discipline, his father was an ortodoxy pastor and after Scott run away from home, he left the law school.

I have been a Creed/Stapp fan for a long time. After the Great Divide came out I was thrilled to see his singing again and we loved the few shows we were able to see. Then I went into a spin. I was getting hit by all sides. I was tired and beaten I just couldn't bare on more hit. I was just waiting for the knockout punch unable to lift my arms to block anymore, so I decided to retreat. I just stayed home. I never went out if I did I was always on alert I just hated my life. I stayed in bed for weeks I cried everyday I just wanted everything to go away. I thought if I moved back to my home state near friends it would get better, but no. I'd given up and just went through the motions. Then one day my son said to me listen to this. I heard a familiar voice It felt familiar and it felt good. My son played a cd I had played a million times and never had it made me cry until that day. That day he played my own Prison It was like waking up from a long deep sleep. Then he showed me this video I had no idea he had released another cd I was so glad to see him singing, but the words spoke to me more. Now more than ever. I am grateful to my son for reminding me of the passion of life and to Creed/stapp for writing the lyrics that touched my heart and got me up and fighting again. No matter what your battle is you can win. You can't stop fighting you can't give up. I am living everyday like it should be living it with hope, love, joy and faith. thank you so much for reminding me how important faith is without faith we have nothing. God Bless.

He truly is. I come and watch this video all the time. It reminds me of the good, the bad and everything in between. I am so grateful God has blessed me with a son who is so kind and loving. He has always been my reason for fighting, even in those days when I just laid in bed and cried, I would put on a smile and try to hide it from him. He knew, I think I knew he knew I just didn't want to admit it. He is my guardian angel. I know now I have all the strength I need to carry on and on those days where the load is heavy I always have someone who helps me carry it. The Lord is always there when we need him, we just have to let him in.

Yeah, relatively speaking it is quite a bit more intense than similar ones in this genre and others that I've personally seen.

God has gifted this man with one of the best male singing voices I have ever heard in main stream rock and roll. I really hope he continues to write clean inspiring music that points the lost and broken to our Savior.

The lesson learned from this mans life is this. You cannot walk away from God and live like hell chasing the things of the world and be happy. Nothing can fill that God shaped hole.
That part at the end when his wife gently kneels down and saves him, his face looks so defeated and tired. That part to me is extremely emotional, just the look on his face.

I took my son to see him in NY Jan 20th this year he was awesome. We ran into him on the street and had a pleasant hi how are you enjoy the show etc He really looks and sounds awesome. I am so glad he is doing so well.

Truly powerful song by Stapp, he's back in a big way like the old Creed days. This whole album is fantastic from all the ones that have come from Creed members over the last few years, Tremonti's solo effort the new Alter Bridge cd I find Stapps solo effort to be the tops of them all. Looking forward to where you go from here Mr. Stapp. I might suggest as the rumours going around that the stalled works on the next Creed cd you guys had planned were stalled by Tremonti. Who does not seem to be into Creed much anymore you might want to consider if Flip and Brian also want to do another Creed cd taking on E-Rock as the lead guitarist he was amazing on Creed''s last tour, also understand he has written a song that you guys did for the new Creed cd that was in the works that was supposed to be mind blowing. I like how his style meshed with Creeds on the last tour give it some thought. Kudos on a fantastic solo effort Proof of Life ROCKS!!

Nobody on here needs to say that he is rich and needs help mentally unless you live beside him and you see him spending tons of cash and acting crazy. I believe him, and if I had to criticize his life over every little detail, I'd be pathetic. I hope you're doing ok Scott and I know how tough everything can be, things are crazy, at least you can admit that struggling is real.

With Mother Mary’s wisdom and guidance along with my late grandpa’s love to support me, I believe I can make it. For those of you wondering, do you realize how little christian artists make? they put on free and $10 concerts, because they don't care about the money. all they care about is spreading the word of the one they believe in. it's pretty incredible. go look up Disciple. they don't have much, but care more about spreading the word rather than getting money. most christian bands LOSE money on their concerts.

He's lying about the banks, he's lying about the IRS, he's lying about drugs and alcohol. Period. Or are the banks, the IRS, his kids, his soon to be ex-wife, his bandmates and his friends ALL lying? He's a Vedder ripoff over forgettable, generic guitar riffs that sound like the PG-13-ification of a shitty mid-2000s Metallica B-Side. He'll never have national airtime again. The world moved on and forgot Scott Stapp. He earned. May he live an average life.
