    This is the portion of Fish Creek between Floodwood Pond and Little Square Pond. If you have any questions about this paddle let us know..... we'd be happy to answer :-)

    I have both canoes and kayaks, both move a person; but a canoe can move the soul!!! Well done!

      Thank you. It was this video that inspired me to create the hour long "Paddlelust" video (my play off Wanderlust) that I put out a couple of weeks ago.

      Ours too. We never tire of paddling Fish Creek. We just got back from a long trip and paddled several more like this. I hope to have new videos up soon.

    Beautifully done! You guys truly transported me there. I can’t wait for our trip in August to Fish Creek with my wonderful wife and dear friend! I really enjoyed the music as well.

      Thanks for the awesome response Michael.... that's what we were hoping to do... to give someone the feeling of being there. I'll post the full trip video in a day or two that shows our favorite route from Fish Creek to Copperas Pond to Whey Pond to Rollins Pond to Floodwood Pond... and down Fish Creek back to camp. Enjoy your trip in August.

      Hey Joe... we love Rollins. We don't have any reservations there this year.... but plenty at neighboring Fish Creek. I'll be posting the full trip video where we paddling from FC through Rollins and Floodwood and then back down FC.

      @@CanoeCampClimb look forward to it.. We're trying something different this year instead of backcountry camping. Spending 9/6-9/9 at RP. , will do day trips all over the area. Then head into LP for the weekend.

      @@mrgjoe we mix it up too. Fish Creek and Rollins are great base camps for paddling adventures. Enjoy Joe. September is the best time to be at Rollins (or anywhere ADK really).

      I'm so glad you enjoyed it. We are just a husband and wife that love to take pics and video. I guess we picked up a few things over the years. My career does involve video from time to time and I'd love to be doing more of it. Our pack canoes are easy-in, easy-out so setting up cameras is not too bad... but does take some time and patience. We have a variety of tripods, stands, straps, clips, and mounts to get different camera angles... which I think is key to keeping things interesting.

    Would love to see a breakdown of your boats? I've been debating a Swift Cruiser...

    • @CanoeCampClimb
      @CanoeCampClimb  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Russell. The Swift Cruiser has been good to my wife and she has no complaints. But she is having a new Placid Boatworks Oseetah built for her as I type this. She wants a boat made in the Adirondacks (we love love love the Adirondacks). And the Oseetah is so darn quick and nimble on the water it is quite amazing... she loved her test paddle. There are several great boat builders in the Adirondack Park... and I suggest you try them all. Placid Boatworks of course, Hornbeck, Adirondack Canoe, Slipstream, among others. Give them a good long paddle... the boat will tell you which one is right for you (and your butt and back). I also has a Swift Pack Canoe before my Placid Rapidfire.
      If you compare the Swift Cruiser and Placid Rapidfire side-by-side you will see they have very similar tumblehome... they were both designed by David Yost. One thing is for sure.... nothing is more enjoyable to paddle than a pack canoe. Best of luck in your search and choice.

    • @NikonF5user
      @NikonF5user 2 роки тому +1

      @@CanoeCampClimb I will most definitely be checking out all of those suggestions! I do prefer a true canoe as I like to kneel when paddling and prefer using a canoe paddle as opposed to a double-bladed kayak paddle, hence why I've not been considering Placid Boatworks much. That being said, I too would love to support an Adirondack company...

    • @CanoeCampClimb
      @CanoeCampClimb  2 роки тому +1

      @@NikonF5user Talk to the owner Joe Moore at Placid... he can make a kneel version. Also... if you prefer to kneel.... Hemlock canoe is an option
