Some people seem to forget that Princess Leia is just as important to the series as pretty much anyone. I love seeing Carrie Fisher get to be herself.
Ikr, episode 7 would not exist because kylo ren wouldn't exist. Han and luke might be injured or not as brave as they are now. Or even worse they and possibly thousands of people could be dead.
Had she not sent R2D2 with the holographic recording of her begging Obi-Wan for help, the entire franchise wouldn't have happened. Had she not personally stood up to the empire at great personal risk the entire rebellion would have been impossible. Had she not persuaded Han Solo to help, The Death Star would not have been destroyed. I'd say Princess Leia is more heroic than either Luke or Han.

Whoever attend this event was lucky being able to see Princess Leia for the last time. RIP and may the force be with you, Mrs. Carrie.
Almost brings me to tears, Garry has lost his mummy and we have lost our princess.... 2016 couldn't end without taking away our amazing Carrie. There is not a single bad thing anyone can say about this woman. She was royalty in and out of Star Wars. Be with your father, Anakin and the other force ghosts now princess. We will miss you deeply words can't describe. You brought so much inspiration, relation and joy to many all over the globe. This is by far the worst thing that has happened to me personally this year. We were blessed to have you and wish we could have had you longer... writing this is tearing me up as I watch you smile in the video above. Sleep peacefully angel. We love you always and forever. RIP Carrie.

Voltar technically that’s not true and Gary has somewhat appeared in the Star Wars universe in the last Jedi. On canto bight there is a weird looking deformed alien dog (made using cgi) and is based off of Gary’s likeness.
she was so full of life 😞 I just love how she laughs at Gary (poor doggy, he was so devoted to her 😢), I'll remember her like this... fun, happy, witty and in adoration of her dog like all of us are. We'll mss you so much Carrie ❤

I just have to say: the character of Leia Organa is such an inspiration to women of my generation. Modern audiences see the early Star Wars films as sexist, but what they don't realize is that women in science fiction films at the time were merely decorative as a general rule, existing primarily to prove that the male action hero was virile. If they weren't, they were never as tough as the men, even if there was no good reason for them not to be (ie. The Bionic Woman.) Leia was an action hero herself. She fought, led armies, negotiated politically, and was clearly the brains of the operation. I saw that as a child and believed that I could do all of those things too. And now, years later, she's doing it again. In an age where, as Carrie Fisher points out, you see a leading man of 65 and his 25 year old girlfriend in Hollywood movies, Leia Organa, who is now an older woman, is an active general in a large military force, instead of an old fishwife or a white-haired grandmother in a rocking chair doing her knitting. She's *still* an action hero. I'm in my early 40s now. It does my heart good to see a woman over the age of 25 playing a part that isn't an old lady on the verge of death, just like men do. it would be really nice if more of the entertainment industry would affirm that women over the age of 30 exist, especially since women don't generally get to experience positions of real leadership until we turn 40 or so in real life. It's nice to be included. So whatever other heartache Star Wars may have brought you, Ms. Fisher, thank you for doing it.

I can't imagine the struggles that Carrie had, the role Princess Leia was for sure the reason of her depression, and yet she knew that all the fans loved her as the character, even tho deep down she was tired of that name, but since she knew the fans need her, she chose to fufill what all of us want, we can see @10:04, in another words, no body ever ask her what she would wanted.
All I am trying to say is, while we all mourn her as Princess Leia, let's not forget she also created much more than just a role, she is also a writer, she is also Carrie Fisher.
i would beg to differ about that, carrie and mark loved the roles, and carrie struggled with bipolar disorder from the age of 14ish, so star wars isn’t to blame, carrie once said “i am princess leia and princess leia is me, it’s like a mobia strip tease” (you can google what a mobia strip is, it’s kinda cool) carrie also has said multiple times that she once got into character and never got out, so i don’t think you’re right about that. harrison was more of the one to get tired of being associated with the roles, while carrie and mark fully embraced them. and i don’t think that she cared about what the fans needed from her (not that she didn’t care about her fans, she loved them) she once said “if i had to worry about what people thought of me, i don’t think i would ever function, i grew up in a place where that’s all you do to a certain extent, so once you get past that, now i worry about what people will think and then i do whatever i was going to do anyway” so i don’t really think you’re right, agree to disagree?

Carrie Fisher is so funny, and her laugh brings a smile to my face. She had such a great personality and sense of humor. And she was still beautful for her age. It sucks she's gone. I can't help but tear up when I see her.
Her last Celebration panel. The dedications to her this year have been absolutely beautiful. Princess, you're sorely missed, but you live on in all our hearts. May the Force be with you, Carrie.

I still can't grasp the reality that she is really gone, everyone's favorite princess was widely loved by millions. I still get choked up and get the teary eyes when I see a documentary or a commercial with her in it and it's June of 2018!
And I'm sorry I love episode 8, I know it goes against the majority, but I refuse to conform, but let's get it clear, I do not support Disney, or Kathleen Kennedy, not a huge fan of Rian Johnson, but I genuinely liked this movie after watching it another 5 or 6 times after seeing it in the theater. It's nearly the five month mark since her passing. It seems like it hasn't been that long for some of us. I'm missing her desperately tonight. I'm in a very bad spot and she's often the only reason I can climb out of that bad spot. I loved her. I still miss her deeply. I LOVE this appearance though.

I can assure you, and someone send this information over to both Carrie and Warrick, that there are so many more LEGO versions of Princess Leia than there could ever be of Wicket, and Professor Flitwick. There's multiple versions Episode IV Leia and then one of the Ceremony. There's multiple Hoth versions, and one from Cloud City. There's two versions of her in Endor Camo, and Ewok dress, and there are three versions of Slave Leia. There's the one from Force Awakens, and there are bound to be more in the future from VIII and IX. Sorry Warrick, you may have to get yourself to play multiple very important characters in Star Wars Rebels to have a chance at catching up.

she cannot remember certain scenes she appeared in in the star wars films, that is so sad, and its a little bit upsetting to see such an iconic female from my youth, who in her prime was naturally witty, very stunning and such an amazing actress, end up this way, i know she has had her problems, but good for her for still getting up and doing these conventions, and she still has a good sense of humour.
