Hi Jeff! A little while ago, you reviewed the new Ceramic Nordic Tumblers from Candle Science. I believe you bought the charcoal and the white one. Were you ever able to test the wicks? I also use 6006 and was wondering your input! thank you!
What safety precausion do you recomend for testing? Do you have a fire-extinguisher on hand just in case that a vessel breaks or explodes? Or do you recomend something else?
What fragrance oil would you recommend for a bourbon or whisky candle? I have tried a few and nothing is giving me the fragrance I want, this seems like the most difficult fragrance to find.
I have tried a couple whiskey scents before and they are usually so strong you really have to just use drops and then add your own vanilla, woods, and others to really make it nice.
How do you get your candles to not give you headaches. I love making them with paraffin wax but I get pounding headaches and my eyes get pressure behind them. My fragrances don’t contain any phthalates and I know paraffin is also natural but something is messing with my sinuses which sucks.
@StandleyHandcrafted i use an 8oz straight side tumbler, cd18, 464 with a 8% FO, melt wax to 185, add FO @165, and pour around 160. The hot throw is weak but when I extinguish the flame the scent is strong as the melted wax starts to cool down. Why does this happen? Any suggestions? I tried to use a smaller wix but it’s not any better and gives a bad melt pool.
I try asking for help in Facebook page about melting pool on my tester candles. But get no response. I am new to making candles and could use the help. I am struggling with wicking my candles.
@@StandleyHandcrafted They are either getting a huge melting pool way to fast not even 10-15mins which tells me wick down so I do and then it don't burn well at all it's almost like the wick wants to go out. It doesn't and it still puts off scent but it's just really faint. I'm afraid if it gets down further into the vessel it will snuff out. I have tried CD and Eco wicks I'm testing coco 86,M12 wax and coconut apricot right now. The M12 is the better behaved but still wicks are giving me grief.
Is there any Shopify alternatives you can recommend? As a small business owner who is preparing to launch within the next few months I’m starting to realize with all the add on and p.o.s fees,Shopify will be pricey! I’ve heard that BigCommerce and WooCommerce may be a better alternative for small business owners but wanted your take on the topic

Thank you for answering my question? I heard about wickless but had no idea what or how to go about trying it. 😊😊😊
You’re welcome and thank you for the question. 😃
I love these!
Thank you, looking for questions for the next one too. :)
How I missed this live
