    So basically you will live to be a 100 years-old if you mostly eat veggies, legumes , nuts and some meat, move your body often, surround yourself with caring positive loving people , do not smoke and watch your alcohol consumption and have a deep sense of meaning and purpose.. Beautiful and simple..! 😊😊

      Meat is the cadaver of a sentient being. Science has advanced extraordinarily past the point of killing animals for food. It’s not necessary. The evidence is abundant and available supporting a plant based diet. The absolute horrors that are perpetuated by misinformation and disinformation must stop. It’s barbaric and immoral. Eating other animals is humanity’s moral frontier…we must cross it.

    *Most people only interact with the IRS when they file their individual income tax return. Some people haven't had to file returns in the past but now need to because they've become eligible for tax credits, and filing a return is the only way to get those credits. When it comes to your taxes and refunds, it's important to be well-informed and prepared.*

    • @mboulenger
      @mboulenger 4 місяці тому

      IRS employees are working hard to get refunds out quickly, but there are steps people can take to help with the process. They are stressing the importance of filing electronically and choosing direct deposit because that's the easiest way to file and the best way to get a refund quickly.

    As a singaporean, Cars are expensive because there is limited spaces for car to travel without congestion. Hence, you pay a premium to own it.
    There isn't a sugar tax per say, we just reduce the sugar % because Singaporeans are generally more health conscious due to its culture. However, government do subsidise healthier options so that the lower-income families can afford what the privilege eat as well.
    The government in Singapore generally specialises in understanding economics & public policy. Hence, all these are possible while maintaining a strong economy.

    • @BigSlimyBlob
      @BigSlimyBlob 4 місяці тому +1

      Correct. On average, they eat more than twice as much meat as people in the USA, and lots of other animal products on top. And they have the longest life expectancy in the world.
      You won't hear that often, because authorities on matters of nutrition just happen to be heavily invested in the grain industry. Not to mention the pharmaceutical industry, which relies on people being obese and diabetic so they can keep selling insulin and statins. The more people follow dietary guidelines, the sicker they get.
      I was cripplingly sick for most of my life. Then, six and a half years ago, I stopped eating plants. My health and mental health issues all vanished in a matter of weeks, and I lost 20kg in 9 months stuffing my face with as much pork, butter and eggs as I wanted.

    We eat home cooked food most of the time. No fast food close by since we are country people. Some of the city schools are teaching the children how to grow food and how to eat it in a healthy way. The kids are taking this home to their families. San Antonio, Texas and Southward has a big problem with being unhealthy. By the way not everyone can eat beans. But there are other foods they can eat that have what the body needs to be healthy. We can even eat eggs from healthy chickens when those in the city can’t. I normally buy fresh food and not much beside rice and beans. I buy other good food at Asian markets and Middle Eastern markets and the are a couple of online services for bulk foods too. Reciently I have abandoned dairy and that has been helpful. I look 20 years younger than I am and my labs for my annual health exam show the lat6 month of hard work show my labs looking like a person 20 years younger than me very too much to the surprise of my Dr. There is much I can say but I my out live the city folks in Loma Linda since I have the advantage of living in the country. I have mush of the best of the other Blue Zone habits as part of my normal life.

      I soak for 24 hours and put slices of lemons or lime. In this 24 hours, I change and wash the beans about 4 times or more if I have time. I learned with Brazilian friends. It will not eliminate completely the gas cause effect but you will notice huge difference. Lemon and lime break down the sugar that cause the bloating

    This terrible comment thing messed up what I said and it is too small print too. No city for us, can’t telecommute either while keeping the safest form of transportation working. Your plan may work for city people but we are healthier living in the country. We must drive since we live in the country but with a blue zone background we are healthier so we have a hybrid car. We were told not to live in the city so we don’t and we are healthier for it. Sorry that the people at the head of my husbands company are treated like they are in their home country and I am sure that has make them expand to the USA where they can drive and own a car without such a terrible expense. I don’t want to be packed into cities like a bunch of rats and I have to pay for the open space in travel and in other ways but we are healthier for it. They tried mass transit here and us country folks don’t want it and it is not even good for the cities since it is so slow. The poor are the ones who end up using the bus because they can’t afford a car or the insurance and other costs. We have lived close to bus service before and it was going to be 2 hours on the bus for a 1/2 hour drive so that was a bad choice for family time and the rest of our life. It just was workable in anyway and it is not workable is this area either. We will drive to work and keep the safest form of transportation functioning. The city can keep its tight spaces, noise and crime and all its other disadvantages. Electric cars don’t do well either and they aren’t really a savings here when you need to drive 40 miles one way to work. The closer to the city the higher to costs and worse the conditions and the higher the taxes too as well as insurance. So there is no advantage to living in the city. Ironically there are other people who live closer, a lot closer who commute longer because of poor conditions.

    His data is wrong from Ikaria. The food questionnaire left out pork, lamb and goat....their highest percentage of food. When ask about their red meat consumption, they reported zero or extremely low. Why? Because they believe red meat is from cattle, not pigs, sheep or pork. Furthermore, he went there in the summer, when their seasonal plants are more available. The residents inland also ate less fish as residents are more self-sufficient for their food supply. They also eat a lot of cheese from goats milk. The residents are very private, they have only disdain for how he portrayed their food and the filming. This is someone spending time to get to know the private lives of them.

      Correct. The blue zones' diets have been thoroughly studied, and it turns out, for all but one of them, they eat more meat and less grain than is average in their areas. Pork and fermented dairy products are very popular.

    I’ve watched a few episodes of Buettner’s Netflix serious. I found him to be similar to a snake oil salesman. Lots of awesome sounding “conclusions”… with nothing to back it up.
    Basically his fancy “new” advice isn’t any different than what we’ve always heard - stay active and eat right.

      I disagree. While I also think he could have backed the latest videos up with more science and studies, I think he still did a great job. His first book was in 2008 and was not common knowledge before that. I like that he also has helped cities transform to be healthier, using his findings. No snakeoil. He's doing some wonderful things for us including his books.

    I like Jay Shetty previous hair style from his earlier influencer days. This current hair style is too metrosexual, westernized, and reeks of vanity.
