I couldn't stop crying. It was such a beautiful, and powerful moment. I'm so glad Home and Away recognise this beautiful spiritual culture and did their research well. Respect 🙏
I’m Māori and seeing my culture on a tv show that ain’t made in New Zealand such as home and away actually makes me really enjoy how much our culture has become recognised and can’t wait to see how far we will go
English born and bred and I loved this scene. Very emotional. The three also did a Haka on the beach as a tribute to the third brother. Wonderful stuff.
Saw this today, amazing scene. This must be the second time they've written in a Hakka scene. I'd like to see more of Indigenous and Maori culture represented in this series
That culture really nice. Made me cry so much as my husband passed away with covid last yr and it was his first yr death anniversary last month. It reminds me of him..
I cried so hard through the whole funeral and this was just so touching. I think Home and Away has done a great job of incorporating and respecting the Maori culture.
I was crying 😢 this was beautiful and emotional and so well played out such a sad time but what a beautiful sendoff x love home n away never miss it in the uk
Rasist much, I'm sure if someone laughed at your culture, you wouldn't like it, I'm glad I enjoyed it for what it is,a send-off for a loved one, I'm sure youre as stupid as your comment,if you don't know why these men do this, find out,or shut up,
Takes a lot for me to get upset but this storyline got me. I liked his character and they've all played it so well especially Mia,her crying and raw emotion was so heartfelt 😥☹️
Kia Ora as someone being in a strong Maori culture i appreciate everyone one that respects the culture yall doing the Hakka is respect and you should never disrespect it as i wouldnt disrespect your culture stay safe ❤

The actor was leaving Plus if he had the operation to remove the tumors he still had no life as the tumors would have returned meaning he had to keep having operations to remove them.
He didn't want this operation it was his choice not his family, he knew it wouldn't change the outcome and would have to keep having the operation over and over.
Sorry, I am 74 years old, and thought it was stupid. I guess it because I am for 2 generation back. What is all this stuff with sticking you tongue out. That a go way of bitting your own tongue.
Sir, firstly as an elder you should know better than to run somebody else's culture down in public. I am part Māori and am very proud of our culture. What is shown in this video is called a Haka. It's VERY impressive for an Aussie "soap" to include this on the show. I humbly take my hat off to all of the crew involved. We have been doing the Haka for hundreds of years and it is performed for various occasions with deep meanings and messages embedded. With all due respect, kindly do some research and educate your narrow and low tolerant mind. Then if you still think it's "stupid" fair enough and then in that case there's probably no helping you anyway, but fair enough, it takes all types... The Haka is respected world wide and especially revered in the South Pacific. It also wouldn't hurt to proof read before posting to fix up your jibberish. Especially when you're taking a shot at someone 😂. All the best Jamison. Kia ora!
@@Jazz_Tamatea Still think it is stupid. My ancestors were Irish. Irish were a very warlike culture. They lived on an island, that was remote in the first millenia. In the first millenia, Ireland consisted off warring tribes. It was until the 1500's that England destroyed the tribal system. So in effect my ancestors culture was destroyed. Although the more peaceful aspect of the Irish culture remained, while the warlike culture was destroyed. As a matter of fact, some of my Irish culture was destroyed by immigration to America. My great grandmother daughter died. Her brother brought a bottle of whiskey to her daughter wake. My great grandmother threw him out of the house of the wake. In Ireland wakes are drunken affairs. My great grandmother said, we are in America now, drunken wakes are not done here. She didn't talk to her brother for years. I agree with my great grandmother that drunken wakes are stupid. Someone sticking their tongue is at me is an insult in my culture.

A powerful episode. The Maori culture is magnificent, natural & beautiful. The Haka very impressive. A display of a tribe's pride, strength and unity.

I love home and away whyy do they take the good people
Yeah, the script kills off characters instead of sending them away from the bay. At least Chloe can feel less guilty of Ari being in prison.
Beautiful powerfull
I cried all through two episodes
Why did they kill arie off, his he moving on to another acting job… he will be missed by everyone, he was a good actor….
For mental health reasons and he is moving back to New Zealand
