- HZRDUS Black Gen 4 vs HZRDUS Black Gen 5 - Let's try these shafts out in the same head and see how they compare
Srixon ZX5LS 9.5
HZRDUS Black Gen 4 6.0 60g
HZRDUS Black Gen 5 6.0 60g
I've got a Gen 5 in my 3 wood, and a Gen 4 that I may try out in my driver. This is a well timed video. I'm a fan of your vids.
Ah Thank You, now you know what you're looking for in them!
Speaking to the shaft tip. I bought a 315 cc Orlimar TriMetal driver years ago with a stiff Harrison Pro 2.5 lite shaft, (2.5 torque), with a boron tip. To this date that shaft is still my favorite - very stable and hits a very penetrating ball. So long as I hit the sweet spot it is as long as any of my new drivers. Unfortunately, Harrison went out of business, but for a while they were used on the long drive tour in the U.S. as well as the PGA. I still take her out sometimes and this summer, on my home course, hit my longest driver ever on the longest par 4. Anyway, your mentioning how the Hzrdus Gen 5 may have a stiffer tip made me wonder if this might be something I would like, as I tried to find the Harrison shaft again this summer, but is not to be found.
Reminds me of the Grafalloy Blue!! I bought 10 of them off eBay 16 years ago ... Got through them while experimenting with heads ...Wish I'd kept a couple ..was before the days of adapters too!
If it works, It works ..hard to find proper low torque and light weight ...The Ventus Velocore / Velocore+ are the best performing shafts that are more easily available in my opinion!
I saw the ZXI bottom of the driver in one the first video clips...haha
Don't tell anyone at Srixon haha - I, looking forward to the new ones! Especially the Fairways :)
BGT kicks it 💯
It certainly does!
Banging vid Fred. How good does the gen 5 feel right 👊🏼. Defo need to see that against a Velocore black be very interested to see how they feel compared.
I'm predicting that i'll need a different loft with either shaft... Gen 5, 1 degree lower head (or loft setting) than Velocore Black
great swing
Thank You!
I have the gen 4 in my driver, and I’m twitching to change! Kinda want to move away from hzrdus though
Need something that still keeps up with your pace eh!! - Keep working on that completion of the swing - That'll give us more grounds to tweak equipment :)
Have you tried the Accra TZFive & TZSix shafts? looking for a lightweight shaft in the 50gram like the Brava, perhaps these are also very good and not that expensive!
They sound like awesome shafts - I got approved to stock them but didn't have the $4k I needed to get the first batch of stock and demo clubs :( - Just need to free up some cash as I have the type of business that suits their model!!
Hi Fred, I have a slightly slower swing speed than you (1-2MPH) and I currently rock a 2016 M2 with a HRZDUS Black OG 6.5x 60G staff. I noticed you use the 6.0x instead of a 6.5x and I was wondering why? Do you think I should switch to a 6.0x shaft?
I just had both models in a 6.0, only have the Gen 5 in the 6.5
6.0 is Stiff and 6.5 is X Stiff - They'll both behave in a similar way with just a little difference ...I'd get more difference in using the same Flex in 2 different types of shaft
This could be an interesting watch: ua-cam.com/video/kx-6S1BnpWk/v-deo.htmlsi=sJxrZ-H3JQj2XU_A
What do the coloured markings on the shaft mean is the is gen4 ok for fast are slower swings
The diamond grid? There's 4 elements in there so you can see the difference from 1 shaft to the next - Flex (numbered 5.5 is reg - 6.0 is stiff), Torque (twist), Weight and Flight (Low mid or high)
I'm not a fan of allocating flex to speed as it can be disproved so often, I can't honestly give ANY recommendations with speed alone and help 100% of an audience
If you have any retailers near you to try out some clubs, it could be a good exercise to test some shafts in your head or a head nearest to what you have
Did they SW the same?
Yes indeed ....both shafts came out exactly the same SW 👍😎
Tease…😂
Haha - Embargo forms are signed! Can't go getting in trouble eh :)
