I found Ed's channel through the Itchy Boots series, and Ed was, I think, living in Moab, UT. There was no mention of Rachel, and it was many years after Ed and Rachel's adventures. I'm going to continue watching Ed's adventures and hope to find out if his relationship with Rachel is still burning. I hope so, but if not, they're two very cool people, and I wish them both the very best. I'm also going to see if Rachel started her own UA-cam vlog of her own travels. It would be really cool to be able to follow all three of these wonderful people on their motorcycle journeys.
I'm so impressed by the playful attitude, determination, care for each other, and maturity that you both demonstrated. Ed, your loyalty in building the trike for Rachel and taking on the really tough bits with both the trike and 90 so that you both could finish the TAT was epic. Well done.
Incase you haven’t been informed, in America the signal used between passing bikers is a peace sign towards the pavement. A simple wave is likely to get you strange stairs
Ed, if you read this. I was one of those annoying commenters a while back saying stuff like you better never let her go and not heeding your very friendly (and English) warning to not do so, because you and her know each other far better than any of us do. I want to apologize for those comments. I think a lot of fellas out here are like myself and wish we could find an Adventurous (and gorgeous) woman to accompany us on our Adventures, and can't understand easily how someone can let one go. That would be none of our business. Thanks for the great videos
If you've got the character to make this comment now, then you don't need to apologise even slightly for any previous comments. Thank you very much. I'm sorry for the delay in videos I am trying I promise.
@@c90adventures thanks Ed. Looking forward to more of your one of a kind and fantastic videos. You knock the editing out of the park--that's what takes so long. Worth the wait ;) merry Christmas
Ed, you showed that magnificent Rachel how much you love and adored her by building that Trike! Engineering skill, character, and total dedication to the task of journeying together. Wow!!
Ed I am simply gobsmacked by what you two achieved crossing the Rockies on those C90's. I know just how steep and difficult those passes are, unfortunately video does not do them justice. A week or so after I bumping into you and Rach in Oklahoma I was doing them on my KTM690 and found that hard enough. In fact I split my 6mm thick alloy bash plate in half coming down a steep track from Engineer Pass despite 10 inches of suspension travel so God knows how you two got over them. You are so right about GPS Kevin, I got into quite a few nasty situations following his route including getting lost in the Moab desert when the route just disappeared and the same thing in a massive forest in Oregon where as a result I nearly ran out of petrol. On an earlier occasion the route sent me through the centre of a private power generation facility guarded by people with guns. Luckily they looked at my GPS and believed my story. I came across some Kiwi riders using GPS Kevin's route who had also experienced serious problems. I do not recommend anyone to follow GPS Kevin's route, get the real thing from Sam. All the best to you both in your travels! Charles.

Wish I'd found this channel sooner, this is amazing. Says alot about Ed as a person that he put in that much effort in to doing what he did selflessly to help Rach, love them both
The work you did joining all those bikes and ATVs for Rachel is a true testament to who you are. You're a star with a heart of gold. Thanks for sharing these awesome videos with us!! Cheers!!
What a rollercoaster, beautiful Ed. you've done an amazing job of telling the story and I'm so glad that you left the parts in that don't show you in the best of light, it makes it even more clear that you really are a good person.
What a pair of stars you both are. I'm in awe of what you've achieved and the manner in which you have overcome so many obstacles, both physical and mental. Also, hats off to all those helpful, friendly people who have aided you during the course of your journey. I will enjoy Ed's onward journey but miss the laughter and smiles of Rachel, a perfect travelling companion.
This is totally awesome....... And I have to say Rachel is one in a million, and was so pleased to hear/see that you are still together, although travelling apart.... More adventures like this please, especially another with you both travelling together... :)
I can empathize with both of your POVs. As a traveler, I like to experience the world at 80-100 mph whenever I can. Camping is the only time my brain shuts off and I just stare at the skyline for hours on end, unmoving. I've done cross-country road trips many times in my life, and I enjoy it far more when I'm locked in at a bounding rate of speed and just keep going and going with a slew of 300 hours worth of drum and bass podcasts playing one after another.
i must say i have been captivated by this whole series, and watched it all in one day. Beautiful story, scenery and comments..what a great product youve made!
Great and engaging filmmaking, so fun to watch. Rachel is a riot, so brave and so much fun. She'd be a hoot to travel with, who cares how many time you have to help her pick up her bike. She's amazing. At 18:34 she kicks a bucketload of ass.
Superb again Ed and Rachael, Fun, Tears and Triumph. Sorry mix of parts that make up a perfect solution to a problem. I met the love of my life via computer and 3 months later flew out to China to meet her. 4 days later proposed and 18 years later both enjoying your film. Our daughter now 15 loves our stories. 2017 we spent 3 months in china and even managed to sneak just over the border into Tibet. The 318 road is the one to do. D & L.
The thing is, Ed's videos are too honest and real - if he had a TV contract it would have to be full of dramatic music, and building up drama - AFTER THE BREAK - and then a recap of what was causing the drama, then more dramatic music etc. Ed does his own thing, and it's perfect as it is!
Ed is one bad ass c90 adventurer, engineer, film maker, narrator, dirt rider and all round good bloke, big ups to Ed! Good luck to you (and Rachel) on all your travels whether together or not!
Both of you are soooo inspiring. I would have given up by this time. I think it was great that Ed built Rachel the trike so she could continue. Awesome! As someone who owns both a Honda Cub and a Honda 185 trike, I am very impressed. The trike is a whole new ball game to ride. Described by CNN as the most dangerous vehicle ever made! But Rachel handled it amazingly.
I've watched many of 'aroound the world on a bike shit'. really did. but this right here? crappiest edit, cheapest of materials used is THE MOST IMPRESSIV of em all. When seeing this and you endless pursuit for the next adventure before getting bored, although I admire it, I am happy that I can stand just be at home most of the time without having to erge to drive a cross bike next to 100 m drops on a small trail. Thank good we have something like youtube to see other people live this kind of life from the comfort of our home. Keep it up I just discovered you by chance and just love your videos.
What you said about traveling solo struck a chord with me. I feel the same way. I like to stop and go on my time, and therefore only travel solo. Hence "One Man Trail". Great video, I'm so very impressed with your junkyard trike conversion. Legend.

I have some things to add (after doing the #TransAmericaTrail myself last year) • Americans are incredibly generous, kind and hospitable. I met some amazing people. • Those mountains are super, super gnarly - the camera doesn't show a fraction of it. • Ed is a mad genius for building that 'thing' • I think Ed's timeline is a bit screwy in parts, but it was a long time ago!
Courage, strength, determination and the most amazing ability to `just do it` that I have ever seen. All that and smile at every adversity. Next time I hear somebody moaning because their day isn`t going well, I will tell them to watch this video and all the others. Respect.

Congrats you two! Both of you are very special people. Ed you are brilliant and crafty, well done coming up with the trike idea and putting it together so you both could finish together. I fully understand you wanting to travel solo and am sure many will not. Rachel you have an amazing disposition and grit, laughing as you pick yourself up after each tumble. Am so happy you were able to get to the Pacific coast with Ed. I look forward to both of your solo travels down south. Cheers mates!
In my eyes this is one of the best content out there showing the problems you face during travel and how you tackle them. And yes Ed you should definitely be proud for building that monster trike. Very Resourceful and intelligent, and has worked well for the slipped disc injury that Rachel had. I've had a lot to learn about how to handle my mindset during travel, the crazy things you need to do to fix your vehicles and most importantly human relations. Thank you for posting this awesome journey :)
Amazing. This one hit all the feels- I've had the exact same experience every time mixing women and motorcycles. It's tragic, really! It would be really cool to be able to follow all three of these wonderful people on their motorcycle journeys.
i'm watching 4 yrs later. so many amazing aspects.
I swear to god every time I see one of these in my sub list, it's the highlight of my week.
The Mayor I could not believe it it either, went too fast
This channel and Itchy Boots are just so fucking brilliant.
Two very lovely, honest, funny people who are So underwatched , best double act I've seen in years. Hats off to you both!
"it didnt work out and there were bad times, but for the memories i have, it was worth it". massive respect.
Ed and Rachel, two absolute legends. Bless you for every minute of these videos.
Charles.
7:07-9:14: A M A Z I N G. Truly spectacular landscape. Also amazing, that you did that on those "bikes". You almost walked your way up. LOL. Best adventure series I know of this, and the narrating is funny as hell too.
Sad to see that you and Rach had go separate. However, happy to hear that you're still together.
Small donation coming from my way again. Love from India. 😊
Wish I'd found this channel sooner, this is amazing. Says alot about Ed as a person that he put in that much effort in to doing what he did selflessly to help Rach, love them both
This is the absolute best UA-cam channel I have ever watched and I can’t believe you don’t have more subscribers
Love what you both have done, together and separately. I hope you both know how inspirational you are to the rest of us dreamers! Thank you 🙏🏻
That's a fantastic trike you managed to build out of scrap parts! I hope you guys have worked out into whatever relationship works for y'all.
I predict the Hondukis Yamakazufan is going to be the next big thing. Better get those patents ready Ed.
You missed the 4000.
The series number is important :)
Give this man a tv contract!
Or at least send him few euros!
Though I agree +figgles it would be fun to watch no doubt. Good luck everyone! :)
The thing is, Ed's videos are too honest and real - if he had a TV contract it would have to be full of dramatic music, and building up drama - AFTER THE BREAK - and then a recap of what was causing the drama, then more dramatic music etc. Ed does his own thing, and it's perfect as it is!
hahah way to ture man! were you @ discovery channel.
It really would be something if someone like Netflix or Discovery picked up this and put it on as a mini series.
You are a tool. Are you Ed?
Ed is one bad ass c90 adventurer, engineer, film maker, narrator, dirt rider and all round good bloke, big ups to Ed! Good luck to you (and Rachel) on all your travels whether together or not!
As much as I love my wife. I don't think I would have made it half that far without loosing my mind. Hats off to you both.
Both of you are soooo inspiring. I would have given up by this time. I think it was great that Ed built Rachel the trike so she could continue. I'm loving these videos. found you through the mini jeep videos and can't believe all that you have done, Ed. You are an inspiring young man, I wish I had your bravery.
You made me fall in love with riding all over again mate. Great effort trying to put the "darkness" into words, its real. And absolutely true about how amazing the people you meet on the road can be and their help invaluable. The American West looks absolutely brilliant. Catch you out there one day somewhere on the road.
As a small motorcycle rider for over 65 years in many states and countries, I'm amazed at your ability to overcome almost any situation or obstacle and very impressed with your easy-going style and cool. Rachel and you are such a pleasure to watch. Two GREAT Brits! Thanks for the pleasure you provide.
Damn man on camera you two were so good together i know were seeing like 3-4 months in a 30 min video so i cant comprehend the struggles you two had . but a big Kudos to the pair of you man takes balls to do what you two have done .
I love this, Ed is being so sincere, I adventure tour alone for that exact same reason. I've done it both ways, but I ALWAYS remember my trips alone w/ vivid clarity, Thanks ED, your are truly an inspiration.
Rachel is an endless fountain of happiness
Awesome! As someone who owns both a Honda Cub and a Honda 185 trike, I am very impressed. The trike is a whole new ball game to ride. Described by CNN as the most dangerous vehicle ever made! But Rachel handled it amazingly.
This started out rather sad, then took and amazing turn towards ridiculously uplifting. Also, I did not cry. It's just kind of humid here.
I've watched many of 'aroound the world on a bike shit'. really did. but this right here? crappiest edit, cheapest of materials used is THE MOST IMPRESSIV of em all. I thought the guys on adventure bikes are so called inspiring.
Thank you so much, you two, for showcasing that all you need to have a good time travelling around is SMILES, FUN, CREATIVITY and LOVE.
Thank you sooo much for sharing this piece of your life with us! Cheers
Rachel is a unicorn.
Agreed. I didn’t know women like this existed.
I was thinking the same exact thing.
She’s amazing; in these videos.
or a real crash test dumbie
They both are :-)
After so long I got to watch again the series... I loved it once again!! It was sad, happy, funny and emotional. I envy you for what you have seen and felt... Thank you
I recently drove from UK to Stelvio Pass in Italy on my own not a massive adventure but was for me on my own and people and friends where saying how could you do that on your own wasn't it boring etc am exactly like you Ed I like to drive through it see it and go at my own pace not really stopping.
That had to be tough. Rachel is one in a billion
What you said about traveling solo struck a chord with me. I feel the same way. I like to stop and go on my time, and therefore only travel solo. Hence "One Man Trail". Great video, I'm so very impressed with your junkyard trike conversion. Legend.
Awesome video man! Thank you for the quality editing as always and the full disclosure on relationship challenges, we can all relate to the complexity of long term relationship but can only imagine long term adventuring. Sweeeeeet job on the Hondukis Yamakazufan 4000!
Lovely - adventure, drama, humour all interwoven with a true love story.
I’ve been rewatching your trip and it’s as good as when I watched it when you published.
great video guys ! sad to see you're not going to travel together anymore, but I understand it can be tough.
You both are my heros. You both inspire me to live my dreams. Thanks Ed and Rachel!
You always have a place to stay and work on your bikes when you pass through New Jersey
I almost cried this at this video. Almost.
Don’t lie 😭
Ed Great job on that Trike for Rachel. Your lucky to find your mate in your lifetime. Better that you got this adventure together. What ever you do, keep her. Look forward to other adventures.
Rachel definitely should make her own youtube channel!
discovered you by accident. a few days ago. just watched EP10. am really impressed. great to follow your adventures. kind regards Lucien. Arnhem the Netherlands
I thought I could trust the British but then I heard this version of Highway to Hell 😂
Glad to hear that your relationship survived, but sorry to hear you wouldn't be travelling together anymore. I've been binge watching your videos, and just love them.
i basically just made this youtube account to post immature comments and insult other people on the internet but not for this.
really really amazing videos. everytime i see a new one posted im really excited. thanks alot ed
50 minutes Ed? You outdid yourself.
I have some things to add (after doing the #TransAmericaTrail myself last year)
• Americans are incredibly generous, kind and hospitable. I met some amazing people.
• Those mountains are super, super gnarly - the camera doesn't show a fraction of it.
• Ed is a mad genius for building that 'thing'
• I think Ed's timeline is a bit screwy in parts, but it was a long time ago!
Jason WD Yeah, effing 50 minutes. Just had some indian food, prepairing myself...
Courage, strength, determination and the most amazing ability to `just do it` that I have ever seen. All that and smile at every adversity. Next time I hear somebody moaning because their day isn`t going well, I will tell them to watch this video and all the others. Respect.
@5:00. Having to check the mirror every 10 seconds is the main reason I always travel alone. I thought I was weird !
RJ Nair well, I just checking a mirror because it's how it supposed to be. Every 10 seconds, or even more often.
@@yannikoloff7659 I check my mirrors every 1.25 seconds, just for extra safety bud
That intro is awesome!
I know this is allready a couple of years old but still inspirational.
The way you talked about her happiness really moved me.
Thanks Ed and Rach!
I have so much fun watching you guys.
Cheers from another free spirit.
Rachel is a trooper!!
LMFAO, Rachel is an amazing person, always smiling and happy, even when crashing, or injured.😆 😎👍
But I appreciate the candid content so much, it makes these videos so much more meaningful and beautiful. They're a journey in more ways than one. Keep up the awesome work, I can't wait to see the next one
Ive loved watching this series, you are both absolute legends and such an inspiration to anyone with a sense of adventure. Ed your spirit and field engineering skills are just great and Rachel is just the most incredible inspiring young lady. Ride Safe and far together or apart!
Instead of going your seperate ways you should have married her! She is one in a million!
For real
Yep - she's beautiful, adventurous, tenacious and every time she fell she got up with a smile and a laugh. Hey maybe she should have her own channel!
haydne remember we are only seeing a snapshot of what is going on.
defenestrationfan and she also took the time to take 14.5 thousand photographs lol
No no . We want here as well :)
Hats off to the three heroes in this epic epic human adventure...you ED, Rachel and Honda c90 in that order...what extraordinary spirits you and Rachel are...her completing this trail inspite of her injury and many many falls..and your supporting her waiting for her and devising a trike to make it easier for her and to make sure you do it together...mind-blowing... please convey all this to Rachel too....how in awe I am of both of you👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Ed "even happy couples don't spend this much time constantly together"
Covid: "..."
What an incredible trip, and thank you for taking so much time and effort to create this brilliant film to document your travels.
This whole c90 series is a youtube and travel classic, and I hope it gets the recognition and reward it richly deserves.
Thank you for sharing this part of your lives with the world.
Those bikes been through a lot. I wonder how many repairs all together. Must be totally rebuilt 3 times over each.
This was a beautiful way to see my beloved home state of Colorado. Also a heartbreaking way to see y'all split up. But as you said, it's a very personal decision that few would understand. Thank you for the fantastic stories and the spectacular views. Much love to you both. ❤
"Hondukis Yamakazufan 4000" LOOOOL'ed!!!!!
Dude you are genius!!! Hhahhahahhaha! Good luck to both of you!!!
Just started watching. This has been a great series and to be honest it was a little sad that you decided to split. However I appreciated that shared your feelings so openly. A big thank you
Need to get off the loo before starting this one or people are going to get suspicious....
Absolutely blown away by Ed’s mechanical/engineering skills!
51 FUCKING MINUTES!!!! YES ED!! YES!!!!
Excellent as always Ed! Great music too! You tell a beautiful story and present it great.
This is an amazing film/video you've made here, Ed. It was my favorite by far. I am taken aback by how great your skills are to have created a working trike that could go that far, and even more impressed with your decision to finish what you started. Congratulations to you and Rachel on an amazing trek back and forth across North America! Pretty amazing.
"Even couples that have been married for twenty years don't spend this long together twenty four 7..." Well Covid has changed that!
Between both working from home, retirement, vacation trips and Covid, my wife have been together for about eight years, almost 24/7. We've been married thirty-four, you have to find a rhythm that work.
Not quite 18 months though is it?
yeh, divorce rate has gone thru the roof at same time!!
