The absolutely unquenchable positivity Rachel has shown in situations where my ex's would have stoved my head in with a mallet for 1/5th of the difficulty you have gone through brings tears of joy to my eyes. What beautiful, kind spirits you both are.
I bumped into Ed and Rach in Alva Oklahoma whilst I was riding the TAT on my KTM690 ( I had flown over from England with the bike on the same plane to Montreal) I was riding through Alva to get fuel and saw the two famous C90's covered in luggage and crap and knew it had to be them. Funny thing is that ED and I only live about 12 miles apart in Devon in the South West of the UK.

I have traveled on motorcycle throughout most of the states so i can attest to the kindness of Americans in hard working rural and conservative states .
@@ethics3 totally, and I can confirm that it's not just the rural folks in United States of America but everywhere in the world. I also tour a lot in my Royal Enfield classic 500, in 2019 I was coming back to my home in assam from a laddakh ride, for some reason I avoided Uttar Pradesh highways and chose to take the countryside route instead, that's where my accelerator cable snapped in half and I was stranded in the middle of a local village thousand kilometres away from home, it was 7 in the evening and the good folks there arranged my stay in one of their houses, arrange my dinner for the night (honestly the best I've had in a ride) called a mechanic in the morning and the mechanic too even fixed my accelerator cable free of cost, didn't even took the money after me insisting, said "yeh toh humara dharm hai fase hue bhaiyo ki madad karna" (it's like a religion to us to help stranded brothers like you). Honestly, never seen such hospitality anywhere in the big cities. I am sure it is exactly same for America, rural folks being very nice and hospitable and city folks not even caring for anyone else. Rural life and rural people are truly awesome.

Actually I am a Canadian , but have found Americans to be much more genuine and caring that my fellow Canadians ... with a few exceptions . I have had experiences similar to yours . Haha. Yeah I tried to recruit someone to sing it for me on Fivrr. I recorded a terrible version because I can't sing, but what they made was even worse and out of time. So I tried someone else, and they said what I made was hilarious and I should use that. And thus, the stupidity was born haha.

Rachel is such a badass! :)) As a cyclist i also feel discriminated. Campers, RV's or MotorHomes seem to be alowed everywhere. So i am forced to wildcamp in the woods, fields, under bridges, busstops, shunting and graveyards. ;)
well yeah they're good boys and girls who can pay their big taxes because they can afford a big extravagance like an rv so you know they're swinging bucks when it matters. but on a bike? They hate ya!

Awesome fix to Rachael's bike. Reminds me of the time I had to move the clutch cable over to the front brake lever. It got me home, but was a little tricky shifting gears.
These videos are amazing. I'm a street biker, but not an adventure rider.....yet..... These videos are so much more than motorcycling though, they genuinely lift my spirits and inspire me. Seeing both you and your partner, or just you, in these crazy situations, but *almost always* with a smile on your faces, giggling away - it just lifts my spirits so so much. I'm currently trying to escape a pretty severe, chronic drug addiction and as part of that, facing up to the events which led me to where I am in the first place.... I can genuinely say, your videos are both inspiring and therapeutic to me. Seeing you both, with smiles on your faces, even in the most dismal of conditions, it's really helped me look at the world - and my own life - in a different, far more positive light. It's had a really profound impact on me. Enough rambling and 'me' talk - I just wanted to say a huge thank you, I will be donating, and if you both ever have children, they're going to be the luckiest little f**kers on the planet! Every time I watch you ride that silly little bike I want to head on out on the roads. I have a family with 2 young kids so I can't go around the world like you but last year I did a 1000 mi trip and this year I'm going from south of sweden to about half way up through norway on my honda grom. I'm aiming for nord kap or perhaps the balkans next year. Without your videos it might never have happened! Take care and keep delivering the best stuff that's out there!

The TAT goes from West Virgina south across the southern US headed west then up around Colorado or Utah headed north and at Wyoming head east to the border of Wisconsin, that's the real 4,200 mile TAT. The one from Tennessee to Oregon is probably only around 1,800 to 2,000 miles. Love the mini jeep to Moab stuff you're doing now. Moab is one of the most amazing spots in the U.S. imo.
Ive watched all your videos and have always thought of riding around the world as just a pipe dream. However I just got done riding bikes around Vietnam and got into it on a whim.
