Fortunately the mercenaries / terrorists used those special grenades that only detonate after the star of the movie is completely clear of the blast radius LOL!
The next one, "Die Hard With A Vengeance" with Samuel L Jackson and Jeremy irons, is as good as the 1st. It's a summer movie, so you don't have to wait until next Christmas 😀
Fun fact: "The General" was played by Franco Nero, an Italian actor who first gained fame in North America by his appearances in the Django spaghetti western films. He also has a cameo in Tarantino's "Django Unchained", where he asks Django how his name is spelled :)
Dude, you could make a _whole book_ containing pearls of your wisdom ... just one example: “My man hit down terrorists in the first movie, barefooted, so you know he was going to win in this one - he had shoes and socks on, he was good to go.” True genius ... you are a great American!
My grandpa and I would watch this movie all the time he was really big on anything with action heroes and my favorite part of watching this was how unreasonably mad he would get about the grenade scene
I love the way the co-pilots watch you watching TV and their eyes dart back and forth between you and the TV. FYI, if you have dogs, TV's and computer screens need to be set to a refresh rate of 75hz and higher, for them to be able to see a stable image, otherwise it all they can percieve is flickering. If you set it higher than 75hz you can both enjoy the movies together :)
You're going to LOVE Die Hard with a vengeance! Samuel L. Jackson's in it! Happy belated Xmas and Happy new year :) Three top franchises for me? Die Hard's - Lethal Weapon's and Rush hour!
rush hour? it's ok but top 3 movie franchises? it's a little too silly. lethal weapon and die hard are funny while still being serious, rush hour is too silly to take seriously.
@@Jack_80 Note: 3 top franchises. It's in general but up there. They aren't my top top ones. Lord of the rings is my top Franchise. Rush hour is subject to someone's taste. It's good to be a little silly now and then :)
Die Hard 3 is actually a script for a thriller called "Simon Says" that was bought by John McTiernan and rewritten into a John McClain adventure but the first hour is almost exactly the original script and it doesn't become a new movie till after the subways scene.
Hi J... I hope you watch them all...and yes..John does eventually lose his hair..lol..so maybe you'll feel more familiar with Bruce then..😁... I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas... 🌿🌿🌿
at least he got his shoes on...😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣 how 'bout you give me $20 for it? how 'bout i let you live? man knows how to bargain...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 funniest line in the entire movie
Great reaction guys. Nice use of the zippo lighter. That scene where he lights the fuel is the best part of the movie. 16:12 The actor who plays Major Grant also plays McDowell from Coming To America
Your right that guy is a dad on a tv sitcom called Good Times in the 70’s! FYI In that sitcom Winona the sassy neighbor adopted a little girl her name JANET JACKSON!!! MIND BLOWN!!!
It isn't that he doesn't know he can die, I figure it is just that he isn't willing to let the chance stop him from beating those that threaten his wife in ANY way.
YES!! This is a fun action adventure thriller! I remember watching this on the CBS Sunday Night Movie in 2000 and the way they removed or dubbed the swearing is hilarious especially when John McClane says, "Yippee Kay Yay, Mr Falcon." Lol! Or "Forget Monday Night quarterbacks! My wife is on one of those planes those guys are messing with. And if you moved your fat feet like I told you so, we wouldn't be deep in snow right now!" Instead of "Come to papa, Scumbag" it's "Come to papa, Falcon."
Another good one: Colonel Stuart telling the reporter “You can have two words - ‘Joke’ and ‘You’”. with ‘Joke’ replacing the swear from the regular cut.
I hope you had an excellent Christmas. I remember hearing this movie wasn't that good but it totally holds up. I love how just about everything gets a payoff; the movie is all about how John got out of a parking ticket. God bless you and your family with excellence!!!
About to watch and had to say I really enjoy watching you and your co-pilots!! I know I’m always mentioning movies to watch and I have another. The American Pie series if you haven’t seen it. Those are hilarious!! Keep up the awesome work!!
13:13 So the snowy ground at night looks the same whether you're 10 feet up or 1,000 feet up, so pilots must trust their instrumental readings to make safe landings. If the instruments say the ground is 200 feet underground, the pilots can't eyeball it to tell the difference.
2:15 that is the primary conflict. Everything in the story must now revolve around his getting the car back so he can give his wife a ride home. And as soon as he gets the car back and Holly has safely landed and deboarded, the conflict will be resolved and the movie must end.
Favorite LOL lines this review: "His name is NOT Buckwheat"! "Oh no, we killin' him as soon as his back is turned" "How'd she get in there? She's like a cockroach" "At least ya' got shoes on" "Ya' better ask Carl" "I bet he won't do this $#!+ again" I wish you would have known the "Just the facts, ma'am...just the facts" joke. Does Blank clue you in later or just add more to the watch list?
You're CO-PILOTS was achin to fly that plane. I saw him jump up on the edge of the bed after barking. He was ready. Thanks for reviewing this movie. Good work. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and the little ones.
Great vid as always. If you want Alan Rickman's third best villain performance, after Die Hard and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (worth a watch itself), is his role in Quigley Down Under. I love Quigley Down Under and I think you will too. They make you really hate the bad guys in that film and give you a justified reason to see them stopped. It's also Tom Selleck's best role as well. I really hope you put it in the pipeline to react to and hope to see it someday. You and your boys have a great holiday and new years.
You don't need to apologize for hating on a character, we all know how movies work. Well, most of us anyway. William Atherton, the guy who played the douche in these movies, as well as Ghostbusters, and a couple others back in the 80's. Has had stuff thrown at him and people tell him what asshole he is, just because he always plays this kind of character, and some people apparently can't distinguish fantasy from reality. Also, don't worry about the guy with the icicle, he'll be okay when it melts.
He went to the Storm Trooper school of shooting!! Lol!... Also he was on Good Times. Thank you for another great reaction. Can't wait to see what's instore for the New year.
Hey J. I love your reactions. I wanted to suggest my favorite film. It’s a Scorsese film with Robert De Niro at lead. Really early on in his career. Taxi Driver (1976)
Great reaction! Great Job to everyone involved here. I'm looking forward to Die Hard 3 as it is my favorite and also in my opinion the best of the Die Hard films. Better even than the first(to me at least).
Die hard 2 had to be re wriitten because the original premise took place on a cruise ship but the success of the original “under siege” Took place on the battleship Missouri and both films were supposed to be released around the same time,so Die Hard chose the airport as it’s plot.
"You're the wrong guy in the wrong place at the wrong time." "Story of my life." Fun Fact: The film exceeded all expectations, outgrossing the original Die Hard (1988) by nearly double. Shared Universe Fact: The General (Franco Nero) is from Val Verde, the fictitious Latin-American country used in Commando (1985). If only we could have gotten a crossover movie. Location Location Fact: Denver was unseasonably snowless during the shooting of the snowstorm scenes and a fair amount of snow had to be created artificially. The scenes with Bruce Willis running through tunnels under the airport were filmed at a water treatment facility near Los Angeles. The facility has miles of underground tunnels. Simpsons Did It Fact: Local transmission of The Simpsons (1989) shown on the plane to "calm the passengers" is the episode There's No Disgrace Like Home (1990), where Dr. Monroe allows each family member to use shock therapy on other family members. Later, Holly McClane (Bonnie Bedelia) shocks Richard Thornburg (William Atherton) in the lavatory.
This series & Leathal weapon was my favorite series growing up but only the 1st 4 die hards.. Thx JL great reaction glad ur enjoying it. 1 & 3 were the Best
Fortunately the mercenaries / terrorists used those special grenades that only detonate after the star of the movie is completely clear of the blast radius LOL!
Plot armor strong!
I think you'll really like Die Hard 3 - because it pairs Bruce Willis with the incredible Samuel L. Jackson. Their chemistry is WOW!
Good Times. John Amos was on Good Times.
While true that John Amos played Cleo McDowell in Coming to America. He also played James Evans (JJ’s Dad) on Good Times.
The next one, "Die Hard With A Vengeance" with Samuel L Jackson and Jeremy irons, is as good as the 1st. It's a summer movie, so you don't have to wait until next Christmas 😀

When I saw this in the theater they did a fake preflight speech. The whole safety belt, o2 masks & everything. It was fun.

The guy in the maroon hat....I lost it on that one. 🤣🤣
Fred Thompson, who played the air traffic director, became a Senator from Tennessee 4 years after this movie came out.
Good point about the plane crash. There is no way the people inside wouldn't at least hear the massive explosion and run to see what happened.
Sipowitz was not meant for airport security.
Watched alot of your reactions. Great job. Love the dogs. Hope you had a great Christmas. Love all the die hards. Cant wait till you do third one.
