Im a 58 year old Firefighter / Paramedic, i can attest how effective intermittent fasting is, in one year I lost 62 pounds while out on medical leave for knee surgery, my wife finally stepped in and insisted that I stop losing weight. Prior my blood pressure was increasing as well as other heatlh issues in regards to my liver, all of them were fixed with intermittent fasting, including pre-diabetes. You look great, by the way, I haven't watched your videos in a while, but today I knew something had changed about you, you look 10 years younger. This takes discipline. People need to do what works for them. Intermittent fasting worked for me.

I am 59 and I've had about 60 pounds to lose for 20 years. Nothing worked until I started the carnivore diet in November. I'm down 40 pounds with 20 to go. I didn't think I could eat this way but I love it and I'm never hungry. I did have a few cheat days at Christmas.
Same! I’m 53, started carnivore January 2, 23, and I’m down 31#. It’s an awesome way of eating.

Thank you for this video. I started at a similar weight as you. 156 lbs. At the age of 40 and am doing the intermittent fasting kinda unintentionally. Started doing two meals a day ect. I feel like I kinda fell off the journey and kinda feeling discouraged. You inspire me to continue going. That last two days I have tried to get back to how I was eating a bit more. I am at 142 lbs. I must keep going! Thanks for the encouragement!!
You can do it, just keep going. I am also trying to listen to my body more and eliminate things that my body seems to feel weighted down by or that inflamed my Fibro. Anything that makes me feel bloated or yucky after I take note, and try to figure out what caused it so I can experiment with not eating it for a bit, then adding it back. I also am eating lower carb and I have lost over 20. Just cheated for a bit with gluten free flour tortillas and Cheese, but will now be eliminating both again to see if I notice a difference. Your weight is lower than mine though, so keep at it. At 52 I have to Keep going because I want to go into my retirement years in shape even if I have fibro.

My father has been overweight my entire adult life and then some. I never worried about it or my own weight issues that slowly started about five years ago simply because my father had never had any health issues other than obesity. That was until his A1C was over 11 at his last check up. I don't want to have to deal with that for myself so I have taken steps to reverse it. I hope my father will find my efforts supportive as well. We have this one life, we need to be healthy enough to live it.
I love the hair! It’s fun to try different looks! I’m an 80s girl too so I’m not sure I’m brave enough for the middle part but it looks great on you! I’m glad intermittent fasting is working for you!

I stay flexible, enjoy what I eat and normally fast 15 to 19 hrs.
The key is eating properly to break that fast and stay hydrated during.
The extensions look fun and your face shape has changed, so center part looks great.
Breaking a fast isn’t rly a thing till you’ve gone a couple days fasting.
If ur eating daily, it’s just a time window ur staying in. Go ahead and have a full meal. 16-23 hrs isn’t an actual fast, it’s just normal.

I'm dealing with reched blood pressure as well. Discovered it a few months ago. Extreme diet change and meds are starting to bring it down. I started canning a couple of years ago and learned so much from you. Well. Some of my favorite things to can are super high in sodium. Yep. Blood pressures arch enemy. Really hoping you will do some lower sodium canning recipes in the future. I really need some options. Thanks.

I have been doing IF for a while now. My biggest problem is my family always trying to feed me when I am not hungry or in my time zone. I also had my thyroid removed and that is a struggle keeping my calcium, vitamin C, and blood sugar where they need to be. I now also hate the word pizza!

I can't do the fasting. I had a Gastric Bypass in 1998. Yes, people can gain weight with the surgery. I am at 150 now, down from 170. I use My Fitness Pal and count every calorie. I started doing low impact exercise at home and I am getting an exercise bike for my lower body.

You look great and your hair is cute. I’m gonna have to check out Ryans channel. I’ve followed a few people and I always give up after 3 months. I’ve never been able to lose even 10 lbs. I started again in January and I’m only 5 lbs down. I am exercising, IF, occasional juicing, gave up coffee and all sugar for 2 months and Nothing!
Juicing is not good, ramps up ur blood sugar which ramps ur insulin which packs all ur food into fat storage
IF is only 1 strand of the cord for fat loss for most ppl, esp once 30-35. And esp for women. Lowcarb or even keto is needed when u do eat. And consistency is important.
This vlogger is young and was barely overweight. She can take the liberties others can’t.
I would even shorten ur eating window to about 4 hrs. I went to OMAD, keto with an EF weekly. EF is extended fasting where u fast for a few days (I do only 2-3 days as it’s weekly) having water only with electrolytes. When I reach goal weight, I will stop the EFs. But I will continue the IF, maybe do TMAD. I will still do an EF maybe biweekly or monthly. I’ll see!
I need to do something and might give this a try. I've tried IF before but can't get my hours right. I've gained weight.... happiness does that and now add in menopause! At this rate...I dont even want to think about that!

I am doing this and I am losing weight. Works great for me. I eat pretty healthy but eat what I prefer and my portions are much smaller then what i used to do. I eat my last snack at 9PM and don't eat anything until next day around 2 PM sometimes 4 PM and rarely I eat early like at Noon. I never been a breakfast person anyway. Two apples a day.🙂

My goodness!
I always parted my hair to the side until 2 years ago, i tried it down the middle and i love it! My face is square and it really helps slim my face and make it look longer. I was about 300 after i had my son, the next 10 years after i had him, i was abke to get down to 160, then, two years ago, i got down to about 135, a size 4, whoch i hadnt seen since i was 13. However, i only jept it off for a year and a half. Now, im up to 155, so, that sucks. Once again, a size 6/7, almost 8. So, i think i may look into this, because, its been a struggle since i was a teenager. I felt healthy and happy when i was down to a size 4. I really did. I want to be healthy for my son, plus, im 33 and my husbands 37 and were finally ready to have another child, so, i wanna be heslthy for that. Especially in my later age. Thank you so much for sharing! Im gonna look into this. I think i could do it. Especially if there can be mistake days. 😅😂😊
I would die to be a size 5 again! 115 is what I’d have to weigh tho lol I’m petite
130 is prob all I’ll get to and even 140 is what’s actually realistic to keep it at longterm so I’ll be happy at an 8/10!

I really don’t understand this intermittent fasting thing, as for today I’ve been 14 hours without food, I’ve had 2 cups of coffee is all & it’s 1:30pm and I’m starting to feel hungry pains. I have some chili to finish b4 it goes bad, meat, chili beans & tomatoes is all I put in it, so lots of protein. If I eat at 3pm, how many hours till the next meal? Normally I eat 1-2 meals daily.
I noticed on the Forjars video I saw, you looked like you had lost weight. I did IF for a year a few years ago and lost 20 lbs. it wasn’t that hard for me. I just started in again doing IF a month or so ago and it’s been harder and I don’t think I’ve lost any weight yet. I’ve noticed a few things this time around that are a bit problematic for me. Cutting out breakfast greatly decreases the amount of milk that I drink, which is a good source of calcium for me. I know I could start my day with breakfast anyway, but I tend not to want to eat breakfast at noon or 1 o’clock pm. Another thing is, it seems to have a negative effect on my bowels, I guess from not having a more frequent stream of food going in. I did have a couple of health reversals over a year ago, so that may be playing into the fact that I haven’t lost any weight yet, I don’t have the energy to be as active as I used to be. Idk, I was thinking about giving it up for now, but maybe I’ll stick it out a bit longer. I really do need to lose weight and it’s the easiest way I have found for me to do it. I’ve always done the 16 hour fast.
Drink milk at ur first meal even if it isn’t breakfast
As u age, u need to be more strict about what u eat, not just IFing. Eat more lowcarb, higher fat.
As you age, u also need to shorten ur eating window, esp if ur having health issues. Try going to a 4 hr window.
Go check out Eat Like A Bear, it’s a free FB group. I had great success there as an old fat lady down to a still old but just a little fat lady lol
