I'm an old lady and was staring at a chicken wondering what to do with it, now I have a GREAT recipe! Thank you.💛 UPDATE: I had to write to you again because your recipe is the first hot meal I've had in many weeks. I am coping with many illnesses and not always able to cook, so often just have toast & cheese for dinner. This took a couple of hours to stew, since I wanted the chicken very soft. But I had to interrupt dinner to write because it is so warm and delicious I had to thank you again, this will be a treasured recipe, for me and my daughters. G-d Bless.

This recipe is so delicious!!! I just modified the recipe a little and used 4 tbls. of flour instead of cornstarch to make the gravy thicker, added 2 bay leaves instead of one, used Creole seasoning instead of the complete seasoning, and Kitchen Bouquet, to give color and taste. Also I used my pressure cooker (20 min. cook time) instead of a Dutch Oven. This chicken is absolute 🔥🔥🔥.

This recipe is AMAZING!!!!! Have made it twice so far (minus the celery but everything else like the video) and my family of 6 all love it so much. Everyone always wants seconds. First time I used corn starch and heavy cream, second time rice flour instead of cornstarch (2tbsp) and no heavy cream. You really need to cook it down, I cooked it covered for 20 and uncovered for 30 and it was perfect. When I cook it uncovered during the second half I turn the heat up a little so that it can reduce faster. It will thicken a bit more as it cools. I used Cajun seasoning like she said instead of seasoning salt because I didn’t have any. This will be in our rotation from now on. Thank you!

I had 3 lbs of buffalo wings that I needed to use ASAP so I made this. I actually caramelized the veggies a bit like you did. because I like it like that. My gravy was a little runny but no worries, I dissolved some more cornstarch in water to thicken it up and it worked great. I served it up with garlic mashed potatoes & buttered peas. It was a HUUUGE hit with the family and I was a hero for the night. There's enough left over for lunch tomorrow. I bet this tastes even better the next day. Thank you for the recipe

I have it on the stove right now and it smells amazing 😊. I happen to feed a few young people at work . Rice gravy and chicken affordable and filling . I have 3 Dutch ovens. 2 8qt and one 2qt. Beef stew comes out so much better in a Dutch oven 🎉 I have subscribed to this channel. I am drooling smell this chicken. I also watch another channel and made the peanut butter bread. It does not disappoint
Again thank you. Funny thing I have all the spices you have been using.

But after a while a sista gets tired of that. lol Just cooked this dish today, after church, and it was delicious. I don't have a Dutch oven (oops) but I used my large cast iron skillet! My daughter loved it and said it was restaurant-quality good. Thank you for this recipe. This will be a staple in our household!

Solid recipe, going to make this tomorrow...BUT...FYI folks, avoid Complete Seasoning...it's mostly MSG and other additives that you should avoid, that goes for most of Badia products (personally, I avoid that brand in general)...if you want to imitate "complete" seasoning you can use garlic, onion, cumin, salt, pepper, oregano, smoke pap, and parsley, just to name a few...there's really no set way to make your own, it depends on the flavor you want to achieve but I highly encourage you to do so

I doubled the amount of cornstarch and mixed it with cold water separately then added it to the pot. That usually works best for me in my experience so that it won’t be soupy.
