I wanted to season it until my ancestors said when, but I'm white, so measurements might have been off. I made this for me and my boyfriend. I really liked this recipe. I tweaked it a bit to my liking. I used seasoning salt. I don't like cream of mushroom, so I used 2 cans of cream of chicken. I also sautéed the veggies to maximize their flavor potential. I only had one onion soup pack so I used it. I served it over rice pilaf. My bf didn't like this recipe and said it was way too salty. I told him he didn't know about flavor and he got mad. He still ate it, but told me he didn't want to eat it again. I think he must be ill because i think its delicious. I had 2 servings and will pack it for my lunch this week. I will keep making your recipes Ray Mack, because I want to learn how to make soul food. Thank you for sharing your family's recipes. ❤
I watched how much salt and Cajun seasoning you used and that was light on salt. That way the soup mix that had additional salt wouldn't overpower the dish. They don't know food Ray Mack... Keep up the good work man

Ok Part 2.... So I made this last night, only in a slightly smaller version. Three drums and three boneless thighs. Also I didn't have some of the ingredients so improvised. I used cream of mushroom soup and instead of the green and yellow peppers I replaced with carrots and celery. Everything else was to plan, and I have to say this gravy has to be the best I've ever tasted. The chicken was tender and defiantly flavorful but not over spiced. Ray you are a genius, looking forward to more recipes with both you and LeLe....Oh by the way, I ate all six pieces of chicken in one sitting :) Couldn't stop.......

I just found your website the other day. And I really like it. There's only one thing. I cannot eat anything the least little bit spicy. So when I make your dishes I do not use any spicy seasonings at all. When I did use them. That was a few years ago. All side taste is the hot. And I want to taste more than that. Good Googa Mooga! Made this on 9/20/2022 and it was delicious but I cut corners. Added the ingredients to the creamed soup and seasoned the creamed soup and chicken at the same time with the same ingredients. Baked covered for 45 min then uncovered and basted, put the cover back on and baked for another 15 min.; for me there was no need to bake 1.5 hrs. It was not salty at all, it was just right. Made some rice and red cabbage, strained the gravy and omgosh the gravy was so, sooo good! As Ray Mack said, I love, love the recipe!

OMG this recipe is so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥I made this one night for my family and even my picky eater Daughter and my 1 year old baby KILLED IT. This recipe is definitely going on our weekly menu. Thanks for sharing this awesome dish. Plus for everyone that wants measurements, all I did was put a Tablespoon of all the seasoning on the chicken and a half of Tablespoon in the soup mixture and it definitely was the right amount for me. It definitely wasn't over seasoned nor salty. So if you really want to go by measurements just try that and I promise your ancestors will agree 💯

Just as your cooking and adding your seasonings, i too just add them as i cook. I don't use measurements. Have been cooking since i was 10 yrs old so i know how much to put in. And we love our food to be flavoursome . Not bland.your cooking techniques are great . Thank you for all you are showing us. I'd like to see how jerk chicken is made please. OMG this recipe is so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥I made this one night for my family and even my picky eater Daughter and my 1 year old baby KILLED IT. This recipe is definitely going on our weekly menu. Thanks for sharing this awesome dish.
Plus for everyone that wants measurements, all I did was put a Tablespoon of all the seasoning on the chicken and a half of Tablespoon in the soup mixture and it definitely was the right amount for me. It definitely wasn't over seasoned nor salty. So if you really want to go by measurements just try that and I promise your ancestors will agree 💯
