- For certain engine models you may also need to add another resistor across the air temp sensor at the front passenger side of the engine.
Look up your engines temperature sensor charts for resistance values.
Go higher until you get results. - Наука та технологія
Been researching this, turns out you need to trick it into thinking the fuel is hotter not colder
Fixing what American diesel emissions standards broke
I tried this on my 04 jetta BEW engine and got no results. Anything else I can do?
Can i use a pot resistor and run it on a switch so it can still be plugged in?
Yeah you could I was actually thinking about 3d printing a plug and mounting a switch and pot under the dash in mine. The wiring would get a bit strange once you add a bypass to normal and the pot as you wouldn't want the normal sensor and the pot adding resistance in parallel
I put a 5k variable resistor between the 2 cables but is didnt work at al also tried a 2.2 and 4.7k resistor but no smoke or anything😢
Yeah it seems to be very finicky many on tdiclub also say that it doesn't work for them
Will this work on PD101 AXR Skoda Octavia? If so how much resistance? Thanks
Honestly I have no idea is it a WV engine with a slightly different name to be put in the Skoda? I couldn't find any pictures online of the pd101. Try looking up pictures of 05 Jetta TDI engines and see if it's the same
So I put a standard resistor in it with a switch and all..only difference I see is just the higher the resistance the slower it gets to higher rpm
More diesel to burn through to get there. If you also add one to air temp sensor u will get more power the single one on the fuel sensor is pretty much only good for rolling a little coal
@@TheKrausenKid I have a audi a4.b5 1.9tdi pd115 engine layout is different and all I'm putting cold air intake straight pipe, and intake, injectors and all from a seat leon or Ibiza idk..but it's a fr with like 200plus hp
@@astoriaknight4304 ahh that explains it your timing is different. That'll be a sweet car when its done. Is it a manual?
@@TheKrausenKid that's not even a question..ofcourse it is
@@TheKrausenKid and If I want I can put a compound turbo system on it also from that seat..build it for a school project
will this work in my golf 5 1.9 tdi Bkc or do i have analog fuel amount sensor?
Shouldn't be analog I think the last model with that was the ALH. Can't find anyone who has tried it but the BKC is also a PD design like my BEW so it should work. Mine worked just having a resistance on the temp sensor but I have also noticed that some people say there's no difference unless they also put a resistor on their air temp sensor as well. Maybe they had BKCs or another PD. Shouldn't hurt to try it won't hurt your engine in any way.
@@TheKrausenKid I have pd150 would this not work for me ?
@@strachantruman9906 it should work fine. The pd100 is just a pd150 with a few tiny tweaks.
@@TheKrausenKid I’ll try it and let you no 👌
What's the fuel temperature on ecu with 22k resistor?
Relatively tame only about 30°c
www.oocities.org/tech4tdi/pages/fuel_temp_sensor_BKD.html
@@TheKrausenKidin 1.4 TDI pd don't work, with 22k have less power than stock sensor, but i have to take a measurement on cold and hot engine on the sensor
Es al revés, cuanto más caliente diesel más inyectará y más potencia
i have 1.9 tdi pd 130 maaaannnnnnnnn now runs like a demon!!! hahahah smoke too!!!! "i make maf and fuel temp"
You need the car to think the diesel is hotter not colder. Use 250 ohm resistor
@@wowtheo1099 200 i put and runs like demon, but i buy yesterday a repro ecu stage 2
How many ohm resistor did you use?
I jammed a 300ohm resistor in mine doesnt realy seem to change anything
2200 ohm
The higher the resistance the more effective it is
@@TheKrausenKid ahh cool does it smoke at all with the restisor in it om your car?
@@lukejellema nothing really insane but much more than the usual none
Would this work with an atd 1.9tdi ?
Should work it's still a PD mechanically. BEW and ATD are essentially the same base engine just different piston heads, turbo, intake manifold.
@@TheKrausenKid I’ve tried this with a 2k, 2.2k and a 2.5k resistor with no change sadly but I’ll try again at some point, thanks for the reply.
@@ianstewart3822 you may also need to put one on the air temperature sensor if it's cold outside you won't see much difference with just a 2k unless it's hot outside
@@TheKrausenKid I’ll try it again, and I’ll let you know how I get on.
@@TheKrausenKid okay what ohm would you suggest for the maf sensor and fuel temp sensor for smoke? Where I live it’s never too hot but mainly cold in around 10 degrees Celsius to a maximum temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.
Sorry but i think this is wrong because when you have 1 hot liter of petrol the size is more than a cold liter
So when the petrol is hot the ECU injects more fuel to equilibrate the mix
Diesel engine it's different
