      Kids are bizarrely resilient, and they have all kinds of built-in defences against going to pieces while the trauma is happening. To give an innocuous example, my family lost a pet in a bizarre accident. It was a little terrier. I used to imagine he was a skeleton imaginary friend who followed me around. It sounds weird, but it was a little kid way to cope with a loss.
      The kids were severely traumatised. In spite of this, they created some kind of coping strategy to keep going. They chose to live if they could.
      There was a case where a guy lost his twin from a beating by his mother. The little girl was kept in a crate in their closet for decades. He remembered having a twin and he recalled the death. He just convinced himself it was a weird daydream so he could keep going. Finally, the case was solved when the wife of girlfriend convinced him that may not have been his imagination.

      @@racheltheehermit7314 As a victim of child abuse i personally feel this resilience shit needs to stop. Yeah we were good at coping because of instant dissociation. Which turns into issues in adulthood, anxiety, PTSD and intrusive thoughts you fight for the rest of your life. We're not stronger, we're not resilient we were suffering and we will suffer till the end of years. We can recover, INSPITE of that, but pls stop saying shit like this about kids. It makes adults feel better like "oh he's a kid he'll forget the abuse, kids are strong." No. The abuse shapes us, defines our neurons and changes our lives forever. If you see a kid in abuse, spare no time. Every moment, that person is being formed. They are not resilient they need your help NOW

      @@ToastedBread14 You are arguing with the entire medical community, then. I’m sorry I apparently “triggered” you, but not everyone experiences trauma the same way, and not everyone chooses to be a professional victim. For me, professional victimhood just wasn’t getting me anywhere. I’m simply explaining how most people can survive traumatic experiences as children. You’ve decided to react by being belligerent and abusive. I also anticipate your next move will be to claim I’m abusing you over being called out on the behaviour, behaviour you’ve started to draw attention to yourself. I went through decades of behaviour just like this from a family member, and I know the game well.
      It’s the “Look at me! I have no responsibilities for my actions because I am a victim of child abuse-and I’m going to scream unless you agree with me!” game.

      My mom was friends with a woman when I was a kid who had four children total one of them was a teenager and the other three were around six years old, two twins, and one sibling just around their age. Come to find out the teenage boy was molesting all three of his younger siblings. He was the product of a rape from his mother when she was a teenager. She was raped and could not get an abortion. Her parents said no and she had that baby. I don’t know if it was genetics or what but he ended up raping his siblings for years and years. He never went to prison. He never got reported it was a family secret. She did have hate in her heart for him because of what he was doing to his siblings, but she never disowned him. She never kicked him out the house. She used him as a babysitter while she went to the bars.

    • @breAnnasmama
      @breAnnasmama 18 днів тому

      It’s not genetic., one doesn’t pass down a freaking rape gene … it’s about what one’s exposed to in their life. And abuse is often cyclical .. he was likely abused sexually and went on to do the same. It wasn’t bc his mama was raped. She likely struggled to cope and was overwhelmed .. she likely had others watch him as she felt she had no outlet to cope, that’s why she’d likely have gone to bars … not everyone copes on that way but it’s very likely… meanwhile - I had everyone try to tell me to abort my baby or allow someone to adopt her bc I was a victim as well … I STILL chose to carry and raise my baby and YES it was a hard pregnancy .. I didn’t know how I’d feel , would I be reminded of the one who violated me every time I were to look at my own baby ?? Etc.. I even had my own mama bring freaking pamphlets to my house about adoption clinics or options AFTER I had her. She even brought strangers to my home- who she may have known but I didn’t & she’d say how these freaking people were there to see my baby I just freaking gave birth to - her first grand baby- bc as she said they were “ interested in my baby”… as in they wanted to keep my baby… HECK NO… my daughter is the ONLY child I ever had.. I had a full hysterectomy at age 24…: she’s my greatest blessing and gift I’ve EVER KNOWN. She’s my whole world and I love her more than anything or one in this world. So I can’t personally feel like my precious child should’ve been aborted and never given a chance to exist when she’s the gift that she is. Having her has helped me so deeply in my walk with the lord and has given me such purpose , strength and just shown me what love is. What it is to be loved , what it is to love/.. and no. My child didn’t go on to rape anyone just bc I was … how the Crap could you assume that’s GENETIC? Do you not understand what causes a medical condition or any component being passed down generationally to be genetic in cause?? Someone experiencing trauma from sexual assault doesn’t cause a person to up and have a gene responsible for raping someone .. having a “parent “ who contributed their dna by raping someone DOESNT cause that person to turn and rape someone … what causes it is either in the case of a child assaulting their own sibling is molestation by the way , but that most always stems from that child having also been sexually abused .. which he likely was either by some family member or someone who had access to him like a babysitter or caregiver or authority figure of some sort in that child’s life who had access to him to do it.. and he likely may have never reported it to his own mother or anyone else bc of shame or fear .. and him going on to abuse siblings is indicative of his being abused .. its by no means genetic… wow. No offense, I just really wish people had more insight into basic medical / health related info and even other aspects of behavioral psychology, mental health studies etc. and I don’t say that condescendingly so I genuinely hope it didn’t seem that way. I only am saying bc I wish people were able to have better understanding into these things bc it would help in so many levels in terms of nutritional health , social situations/ relationships, discernment and judgment calls, understanding of what’s going on with one’s body and mind … but anyway , while it’s hard to understand at All times what prompts someone to do such horrible things, it’s often from something they’ve experienced in some point in their foundational developmental period that CONTRIBUTES- not causes, but contributes to one’s behaviors and personality traits and decision making and often that particular thing- molestation of a child by a child/ sibling/ minor is a cyclical behavior that occurred with them and is repeated in their own actions .. now as to raping people- that’s almost always a means of someone trying to control others, where they have hatred or disdain towards not always their victims themselves, but others in general.. and the victims to them are like objects for them to enact control and dominance over.. people also will sexually assault people to not just control them bc of some form of disdain alone , but those who’ve been say, rejected and have some deep resentment or anger may do it .. some also have been conditioned for example , after witnessing a caregiver / authority figure that they may have tried to measure up to or desired to be like/ admired and fought for acceptance from demeaning women such as their own mother even & abusing her violently or exhibiting this demeanor of / or teaching by word or
      Example that for example, women are just objects to use, abuse and control.. there have been serial killers who’ve had fathers who were horribly abusive mind you, yet they vied so fiercely for their attention, affection and approval that they had some sort of admiration for them and became much like them, in their own treatment and view of women after their own fathers were abusive to women in their lives , would for example , use the services of prostitutes and yet refer to them as the worst nastiest and most despicable detestable and worthless people to ever have any involvement with , where these killers would target sex workers in one part , as if they were somehow ridding the world of such low lifes etc and on the other hand , bc they themselves viewed such acts as wrong but yet were compelled to use their services, so it was them hating their own compulsion , therefore taking out their desire and acts on the prostitutes , not on themselves for their own inability to control their own actions.. anyway .. rape is typically about control directed by anger / rejection/ hatred and molestation / pedophilia etc. typically about someone whose been victimized carrying out the same cyclical behaviors when it’s a child or family member who enacts the same onto a child .. however , let’s not also forget that in cases where adults sexually abuse children, there are instances where the abuser is just some nasty pervert who has issues of inadequacy where they struggle to perform sexually with adults where maybe they’ve got serious issues where they’re idk - for lack of better words again , just inadequate in that area with their manhood that they’d be so sick and disgusting as to prey upon children who are vulnerable and who have no idea what to compare such a nasty disgusting monster to in terms or sexual experience, where those people prey on ones who’ve not experienced intimate acts before or who are very sexually naive where the abuser feels some sort of sexual prowess bc only in that type of situation do they feel in control and not inadequate if that makes sense.. but its often still a cyclical thing or a matter of control issues when dealing with these types of crimes .. there’s no criminal gene that makes someone become a rapist . Again not trying to be mean .. and only elaborated my response to shed light on the subject from someone whose been a victim and survivor and someone with medical knowledge to weigh in.

    As someone that came from an abusive family, when you have someone in your face screaming and yelling at you to tell them the truth, and you are, you’ll eventually tell them what they wanna hear. They already have the truth they wanna believe made up in their minds, they just wanna hear you say it. I’ve been in that position before, I’ve seen my siblings in that position before. Psychiatrist here. I like how you explain concepts that are well known in the field and are so universal that we can see the truth miles away. For anyone still considering it, no the story about her children abusing each other is 100% false. The description of the physical complaints, the beating on all kids including the youngest, the denial from both children until after severe abuse, and the delusion of the kid describing events when he was way too young to and portraying mom as a savior all are clear delusions. The youngest kid Alex was essentially her inner voice telling her she would be in trouble for the freezer bodies which is not the response of a kid that sees a frozen body, he told his mom not to cry when the police arrived, and alex supposedly thanked the mom for killing the kids and saving him. Again, all part of the delusion and highly atypical. Mom was abused when she was a kid and developed maladaptive behaviors + developed clear delusions about children abusing each other. Given the organized thought process and focus on the specific delusion, this isnt psychosis or something like schizophrenia.

    The fact that these kids had several chances to 'escape' the torture by forcing an apology or admitting they were a victim, tells us all we need to know about how true this story is. When children are abused to this extreme, their brain is in survival mode, they aren't going to keep disobeying over and over again. When they get the option to please their mother in order to lessen the abuse, they'll take it, it's just survival. The mom's story is just lie after lie.

      Abusers generally have a golden child that they treat better than the other children because they see the child as a representation of themselves (they have the same personality). It sounds like the other children were resentful of Alex's golden child status. Unfortunately, golden children grow up to be the same as their abusive parent. I don't think the other children sexually abused Alex. He was probably recounting when they were changing his diapers since he was the youngest. Crappy parents generally push childcare onto their oldest children. Mother also sounds like she is projecting the abuse she suffered as a child onto her kids. Instead of being able to confront her own abuser, she projects a story that her children are sexually abusing Alex and kills them like she would her own abuser. It's a sad story all around. I hope the mother gets the mental help she needs in jail as well as the kids. Otherwise the cycle of abuse just keeps perpetuating.

      I don't believe the story she's been trying to feed everyone though, even if she did ask Alex he probably didn't even know what she was asking and was just playing with his toys and how quick she goes from 0-100 I bet Steven didn't even have the chance to speak she probably went straight to his room hitting and screaming at Steven that he probably said something in agreement just hoping it would stop.
      I remember in some of her early clips/interviews, I can't pinpoint where exactly, but she said something along lines of "I seen signs" instead of the whole being told.
      The whole SA could've been in all her head, they were being abused prior to their murders and when my siblings and I were in a similar situation we looked to each for comfort but we would look to our oldest brother for a sense of protection etc. and just by doing any of that would trigger our mothers boyfriend but also, Michelle could've done it cause she is that type of person. No remorse. Horrible, disgusting person.

If they really were all being abused, do you truthfully believe for one second, that that child at the time being 14-15, maybe even 16 for one, would have sat there after watching two of her siblings being murdered? No she would have fought or took flight, those children were loved to SOME degree, now I can’t say how much that may be, given a lack of information, but based off what I’ve witnessed, she did not lie about anything she’s stating, I truthfully believe this scenario is sadder because of that though, it’s a valid demonstration how irrational humanity as a collective has become, & how your own emotions can lead to the death of a loved one.

Defensive actions being perceived as hitting or aggression. Or I would deflect the blows by holding my arms up to shield my face, their hands would hit my upper arm bones and they would hurt themselves. I would be in trouble for “hurting them.” Of course if they hadn’t been hitting me in the first place, they wouldn’t have hurt their hands.

    This whole thing definitely was long-term chronic abuse by Mitchelle. Not abuse by the kids to Alex. All of the children, including Alex, had scars and bruises showing years of intense abuse. It's highly possible she killed Stoni because she witnessed Stephen's murder and was getting older and appeared to be ready to tell or rebel. The older sibling said the murderous part of the abuse stemmed from a fight because Stoni was angry and said she didn't like her siblings (typical 12/13 year old sibling stuff).
    Both Alex and the oldest sister would have been next if she hadn't been caught.
    Edit: It's sickening that she keeps talking about how she kept Alex safe and says she hopes he knows not to let anyone hurt him like his siblings did (they didn't) and hopes he knows he's loved. Ugh. That's twisted coming from someone who caused the hurt and harm.

      That's interesting, where did you get the information about Alex?
      From this interview I thought that he was the golden child, who she seemed to actually care about. Of course she still may have favoured him but if that's how she treated her favourite, I can't imagine what the other 2 ensured.
      I am also incredably concerned about the emotional & mental health of the eldest child, there is no way they can have lived in that house & raised by this mother & not turn out massively damaged.

    • @mdiddio
      @mdiddio 2 роки тому +25

      @@NotAnotherKuromi The information I stated is from the reports, interviews and testimonies from the actual court case. This video only covers Mitchelle's own story, and it is a story, as in fiction.
      Alex had just as many signs of long term severe abuse as the other 3. Including healed fractures, scars, etc. There was no favoritism.
      Alex was no more the golden child than any of her poor abused kids were. In fact he was the opposite as she blamed him in effect for her own actions. He was the scapegoat. They all were. That's a lot of guilt and false accusation he has to carry around (and I mean HER false accusations, as Alex never made an accusation of sexual abuse against his siblings, that was again a fiction made up by Mitchelle to try to garner sympathy).
      The eldest testified to the reasons and events that led to Mitchelle murdering the two middle kids, and it has nothing to do with accusations of sexual abuse. That was literally only first stated at Mitchelle's interview, only by Mitchelle. She also testified to the long-term exteeme abuse of all of them, so yes, she has a lot of recovery ahead of her. Both her and Alex are still in touch, both are in good placements.
      My heart hurts for them both. The physical scars they carry still is bad enough, but the emotional scars are beyond anything we can come close to understanding. 😢

    • @whatisthis1958
      @whatisthis1958 2 роки тому +1

      @@ThePhantomSafetyPin Exactly, even if the older kids were abusing alex s3xually that's still no excuse for murdering them. Cases of child on child s3xual abuse (COCSA) usually happen when the abusive kid(s) have experienced some sort of s3xual trauma themselves, whether it be by an adult or yet another child. Both children in COCSA cases need professional help. In the majority of cases, finding the cause of the abusive behaviour from the child and dealing with it appropriately eliminates the behaviour. I was a victim of COCSA when I was 6, and I'd never want my abuser to be murdered for what he did to me. Of course he traumatised me deeply, but I know his behaviour was likely brought about thanks to his shitty homelife, he was mimicking something he saw or experienced. Its the adults job in that situation to make sure both children involved get the help they need. Even if your child is hurting your other child, that does not justify murdering them ffs.

As a child she had tried to tell her mother about the abuse that she had had her mother didn't believe her. She told her children that she would believe them if they came forward and told her of any abuse. It was after she talked to her children giving them detailed accounts of her sexual abuse that her youngest son Alex begin to accuse his older brother of sexually molesting him. After Michelle killed her oldest son after beating him up to confess, Alex then accused her daughter of sexually molesting him and she killed her daughter. Even though this was pointed out to Michelle that it was possible that her going into graphic details about her sexual abuse, that it's possible that Alex made it all up to get back at his siblings, she refused to believe that her son Alex could have lied to her. She knew exactly what she was doing. She kept bringing up the children taking food from her youngest. With the abuse, and the scars and what those kids said was done to them at her hands, and with her weight, I believe she portioned out what those kids could have everyday, and indulged herself. She couldn’t stand taking care of them and abused them. In my opinion, those children that were murdered were only guilty of being on her bad side at the wrong time. Whether it was taking food or fighting because it sounded like they both liked to fight, she couldn’t handle it. She wanted to show them who was boss. She tried to beat those kids into compliance but her rage took over and she ended up killing them both. She showed the living children the bodies because “that’s what happens if you don’t listen to her”. I believe that’s what really happened. Scared the living daylights out of her kids to prove that she was in charge and you don’t cross her. If she felt remorse she would’ve told someone, but she didn’t. If it wasn’t for her getting evicted, those two living children could have met a similar fate if they stepped out of line with her. What a psycho and unbelievably vile and evil person.

Knowing that at any point they, too, could get thrown into the freezer? It really feels like she pushed her unresolved traumas onto her children for no actual reason. This was sustained rage - over several days. She knew precisely what she was doing while she was doing it. And they were just so young. Yes, very true. A few years back, my husband and I took in a woman and her 2 kids (she was pregnant at the time as well) who he had known in the past. She claimed her husband and the father of her kids was very verbally abusive and that it was becoming borderline physical.
      Well it only took about 5 days to realize how crazy, selfish, and neglectful this woman was and discovered the truth that SHE was the abusive one in the home!!
      Her oldest (who we gave our own sons clothes to wear everyday) was never changed by her, not even once. We did, and he constantly smelled of urine. Her youngest was in the same boat and he was a little over 1yr old and still in diapers! She'd let him in a soaked diaper full of piss and shit to the point it was dripping!! I took it upon myself to just change his diaper instead of waiting for her to do it or simply asking when she was gonna attend to her baby. We let her sleep in OUR bed as we slept in the guest room, as well as changed the sheets for her. We changed the kids clothes and the baby's diapers, fed all 3 of them, bathed the children, took her to a Dr's appt, and let her mother borrow our carseat for her and her kids to go out shopping because she was just going to put them in the car without one. She never watched her children and when the youngest would cry for her attention, she'd cuss at him and walk away annoyed - it was heartbreaking. I got up with the baby when he would wake in the middle of the night crying... She also loved to keep her nose buried in her phone all damn day 🙄 And the entire time she and her kids were in our home, she never once offered to lend a hand, let alone take care of HER or her children's needs!! Not that I ever expect a guest in my home to help out, but at least be polite and freaking offer.
      And the cherry on top?? SHE TRIED TO SEDUCE AND ADMITTED TO WANTING TO HAVE SEX WITH MY HUSBAND 🤬 We had enough the day she pulled that bullshit. We got out of our own home and asked her to leave. Of course, she refused 🙄 and we ended up having to call the cops on her to get her out.
      Years later, she was in the paper for child abuse - apparently the kids father had to give the kids (3 at this point) a bath after he picked them up for his custody ordered week because their clothes were filthy and they smelled of cat urine. That's when he saw bruises, red blisters, and giant welts on their butts. The kids said she would beat them with a wooden spatula till she drew blood when she would get annoyed with them.
      Before all this and till this day , she portrays herself on social media as a loving, hardworking mother and wife who lived for her children and taking care of her family. She is anything BUT!!!

      I think she saw him play with his toys in a way she believed was sexual and interrogated him relentlessly until he said what he believed what she wanted to hear and blamed his brother - and I don’t think he said it was his siblings, because they were the only other family around, and I don’t think he knew what was going to happen. And I don’t believe the youngest loudly proclaimed that he was assaulted repeatedly - I think she made that up due to her own trauma and manifested it into her getting retribution for herself.

    The oldest daughter explained on an ID show that "Alex" always denied anything had been done to him at first and would only answer "Yes" after being repeatedly asked and interrogated by the mother. She beat them all the time; they were all terrified of her.
    She did indeed claim that they were absuing the youngest boy at the time of their deaths; it's not something she made up after killing them. People don't understand how narcissistic personalities operate. Feelings are facts to them. This woman saw a little kid playing with dolls and projected sexual connotations onto it. In her mind, the only reason for that could be that someone molested the child. The investigator even asks her multiple times how she is getting to these conclusions and her answers are confusing and vague. She offers no real reasons or evidence, just insists she knows it's true. She thinks she IS offering evidence and reasons though and is unable to understand why the investigator cannot see it. This is textbook narcissistic reasoning.
    Mitchelle asserts that "Alex" lies. Just before that, the investigator asks if Alex will tell her that his mother saved his life and Mitchelle says, "He will. You just gotta listen to him." That seems to indicate that she thinks he does not say things directly and has to be interpreted or interrogated to get what she believes to be the truth. This supports the idea that he never volunteered that anyone abused him. It was all in her head and she just forced these poor children to agree, then killed two of them for it. Again, this is textbook narcissistic reasoning.
    The youngest child is obviously the golden child she projects all goodness onto in this family dynamic and the other children were scapegoats - first Stephen and then Stoni. Her paranoia that people will think "Alex" is crazy or has something wrong with him for accusing both his sister and brother is not just reassuring herself that she was justified in killing these kids but also likely a projection of her fears that people will think that about her because she is the one who actually accused them. She seems resigned and even OK with people thinking she's evil but worried or even upset that people might think she's crazy.
    Her anger at the father(s) of these children is significant, too. Narcissistic parents often see the child as extensions of others (themselves or the other parent), and if they have anger toward the other parent, this can result in horrific behavior toward the child.
    Her response to the question about whether this is painful for her to recount is a classic example of the difference between remorse and shame. She says it isn't hard to tell because it's painful, but because it's evil. No remorse, just shame that people will know what she did.

      Narcissists, of all sorts, believe themselves to be the victims of a cruel world, and tbh, some of them were at one point. Their mind goes through t(e craziest mental gymnastics to shift responsibility. They never progress past the point where they can accept responsibility and will always place the blame elsewhere. They often blame people after they cannot fight for themselves. My mom tried telling me at my father’s deathbed that he never wanted me. I was adopted. Matter of fact, he wanted more and I was his clear favorite, not because of a mental profile but because I am a decent, responsible human being and he was proud that I had become one. She didn’t want me but with him passing, she wanted to cement an “obligation” to her, thinking that if she said that, it would negate my previous 40 years worth of experience with both her and him.
