@Genovese 23 Very true. Someone in my neighborhood had their car stolen by their crazy girlfriend while I was driving somewhere for an errand. He had scars all over his arms too from previous times she chased him with a knife. I actually tailed the girlfriend in the car for a little while on the phone with the cops, and I gave them direction to where she was going. I kept a 6 car distance behind her just in case and then I turned down a street when she opened the car door and said “The fuck is your problem”. It’s weird how you get hyper focused in those moments.

I agree with you to a certain extent. Yes, the system failed. Yes, her loved ones knew and her father had episodes and was admitted to psychiatric hospital. However, the real truth lies in the absolute denial the entire world and the readily acceptance of mental illness. If I were to be specific, I could argue that, the necessity of looking or being normal within the society of America, the image one has to paint themselves, requires normal people to go to the extreme to do so and ignore any form of knowledge and or facts. Furthermore, if anything, this is a disease that has been around humanity within its entire history. We just don’t have a fail safe system. It’s not that there isn’t a system, it’s just no system is ever or will be perfect. Human beings are flawed. This video is indicative of how willfully ignorance we are of our own kind.
The amount of people who at the school had insight, yet no actions were taken. The apathy within us may hopefully be ridden in a couple of hundred of years through evolution. I’m skeptical, but by all means, I’ll be happy to be proven wrong.
Morgan will not be the last. Refer to “The Casual Criminalist” UA-cam channel to watch another young woman taking similar direction in the twentieth century, in Britain.

I'm not a psychologist, I'm just a Star Trek fan, but one of the things that I found interesting is that when Morgan said she was playing dress up, the CC says "indistinct" but I'm pretty sure she said she dressed up as Data, the android from Star Trek TNG. This character is an emotionless machine whose character arc is entirely focused on becoming more human and capable of experiencing the emotions of living beings. I don't know if there is any depth to that idea but I found it interesting.

Agreed. Anissa was the one that introduced Morgan to Slender Man, there's a great documentary about it on HBO. She's also the more aggressive of the two girls, and I also think she manipulated Morgan's illness. Remember, she didn't like Peyton/Bella, and even if Morgan was the only one to actually "do the deed" (that REALLY bothered me, she said it multiple times) Anissa planted the seed, encouraged it, and then lied her a☆☆ off. I hope she has truly gotten the help she needs, is getting therapy, and is HEAVILY medicated, or else she'll manipulate someone else eventually. I 100% agree. I'm very close to a schizophrenic, and so many things I saw present in Morgan, I see in this person. Even medicated to fuck and back. The way she "Over and over and over and over and over" the person I know does it with "again and again and again again again" the flat affectations in her speech that may seem inappropriate, among many other things. I wholly believe that girl is schizophrenic and if not, she has studied this disease deeply and practiced 100s of hours of faking it. "I don't know why I did that but it seemed really important" person I know has said that a million times. Not about stabbing someone. But she doesn't require an impetus to do something. If you just tell her it's important, she'll commit her entire being to it. I think we've got an edgy, somewhat sociopathic teen, finding someone she can really easily control in her undiagnosed friend. The alternative is Morgan is a literal criminal Mastermind, practiced the whole schizophrenic schtick to the point she could emulate it perfectly, and manipulated her totally normal friend into engaging in a murder without her saying a word to anyone else.

When they were describing her in the beginning, they said she was a “teacher’s pet” and would tell on other kids in the class. She comes across as a very manipulative child. I agree with you. I don't know why, but Anissa comes off as way more malicious. It might be that since I've known a person with Schizophrenia, I know that with the right medication and help, Morgan could be a normal person and I don't know how to help Anissa. This story's dynamic does remind me of the case much similar to this, but with much less of a clear image of mental illness. In that case the girl who was attacked sadly died.

    • @gjallarnews140

@@iAstra It's because she was way more malicious and organized in the planning and execution. She tried to deceive eventhough she's not good at it, which may be because of isolation and the resulting social awkwardness.
An interesting detail was that she had a reputation for telling on people in school. Most adults would perceive this as something positive and give her word more credence but it could easily be used to manipulate authority figures into punishing the wrong kid.
Their motive seems to be very narcissistic and the hierarchical structure of Slenderman at the top and the proxies beneath reminds me of a cult. They wanted the acceptance of the cult leader and the "power" (superpowers) he would give them.

Morgan was the one who was like, uh if we try to live in the woods we’re gonna die. I have a feeling Anissa is actually the most dangerous of the two. She could easily be a sociopath - someone intelligent and manipulative. She could have simply been jealous of Peyton & Morgan's friendship, so used (& potentially even fuelled) Morgan's belief in Slender Man to get her to agree to the plan. She would then have had the intelligence to pretend to believe in it too in order to gain leniency. The fact that the first thing she did in the interview was make sure they knew about Morgan hearing voices seems like a calculated thing to say.

I believe if Anissa did not appear in the picture Morgan wouldn’t have had the thought of killing her long time friend Peyton or even if she had, she wouldn’t have gone ahead and carry it out, Anissa was the fuel. I used to get bad earaches as a kid, but my mom insisted I was making it up. I'd gone to a doctor when one day my ears were painful and I had a bad headache and the doctor said for my folks to ignore me; it was fake, and I was attention-seeking. A few years later, I found out from a dentist that the headaches and earaches were from grinding my teeth so much at night. So parents will often gaffe off their kids' behaviour.

Most kids just want attention and to fit in. That's it. And they will do stupid things to do that. Even self destructive things.
Today they have far more access to a wide range of bad influences and bad ideas than even 20 years ago. Much less 40 or more. And even 40 years ago you would do something stupid to fit in.
Back then it was probably doing something like a high dive into a quarry, jumping a homemade bike ramp, or some equally mundane dare.
Today it's tide pods, emo culture, and creepypasta. All far worse than most of the influences of even the 90's. At best in the 90s it was rock and the budding rap music influences. In the 80's it was have bands. But even those things were minimal because you didn't see it everywhere you went. Even hearing it wasn't as common. You had to live in larger cities or buy tapes/CDs.
Internet, and especially streaming services like UA-cam were the real change. Both have allowed kids nearly unlimited access to all human knowledge. Good and bad.

She keeps claiming it was Morgan's idea, because Morgan was super into the Creepy pastas, but then throughout her interrogation she divulged all of these details about Jeff the Killer's origin and backstory, as well as Slenderman's, and she called the website by its name, Creepypasta Wiki. Idk, but if my friend was super into something and I wasn't, I sure wouldn't cite the website by name and know all of these intimate details of the stories you can find there. I may be able to say "oh yeah she reads creepy pastas about slenderman and stuff" but to know the character's backstories and that Jeff the Killer was based on a real serial killer, and what his whole name was... It doesn't make any sense.

She sort of avoids answering directly who knew about it first, and instead just starts talking about how Morgan said she saw slenderman when she was a small child since she lived in a wooded area. She would not have known what slenderman was at that age.
Kind of implies Anissa showed Morgan the creepypasta stuff, and perhaps Morgan remembered a strange man or imaginary thing she saw as a child and thought that was it. Or just made up a story to please her friend.
I believe if Anissa had answered directly and honestly the question she was asked, it would have been her. Instead she kind of danced around it to make it about both of them

Like you’ve spent four or so hours telling a detective about an attempted murder, in fact you just found out mere seconds ago that your victim survived, and you think there’s a possibility you’ll be going to school on Monday. She also doesn’t seem to understand that even if she could go to school, the whole town would obviously have heard about this. She seems to think that everyone will treat this like a little fight and that it’s a thing other people will never find out about. Then launching right into infodumping about more fake monsters, thinking any of that stuff is at all relevant or helpful. Even though she just said she doesn’t believe in slenderman anymore she clearly does and is still considering all of these characters legitimate threats to people and thinks it’s helpful for her to share all her knowledge on them.

Like in that sentence, what if she realised for a brief second that she was manipulated. But due to her illness, that thought doesn't doesn't last long or many she can't come to full terms or what to believe in it. I know how it feels when someone finally comes to terms that theyve been manipulated. Maybe the thought was too much for Morgan to accept? I wrote a huge post above how Morgan is suggestible and Anissa took complete advantage of that. For those interrogators being 'professionals' it so saddens me how they cant see the truth through the lies or read between the lines. It was so obvious that Anissa's crying wasn't ever real.
