just wanted to point out that the Silk yogurt and the SO Delicioious are the only ones you can usually find at a regular grocery story under 3 dollars. Some of the others like kite hill or foragers you might be able to catch at a better organic grocery store but pretty pricey but they sometimes go on sale at whole foods sometimes under $2 soo look out!
I actually just posted a taste test of 16 vegan yogurt brands and I agree with you on most of the yogurts you tried. My fave brands were Stonyfield O'Soy, Daiya Greek Yogurt, and Silk Almond milk.
If you're ever in So Cal, Blöde Kuh makes the amazing cashew yogurt (they also have the very best vegan cheese I've ever tried as well). It's the best yogurt I've ever had, vegan or non-vegan, hands down. You can find Blöde Kuh at Grassroots in Pasadena, Follow Your Heart Market in Canoga Park, Organix in Eagle Rock and various local So Cal farmers markets. As far as store bought vegan yogurts go, Forager's plain yogurt works really well in recipes, Kite Hill salted caramel yogurt is amazing and I love both the raspberry and key lime flavors of So Delicious yogurt.
Thanks for the taste test. We love all the Silk soy yogurts and have stuck with it for the taste and price. Now we want to try your recommendations. Especially excited for the Good Karma flax milk ones since we are looking for ways to add flax in our daily routine.
Trader Joe's used to have the best selling yogurt, it was soy based. My favorite flavor was 🍑 peach & it had chunks of delicious peaches all in it, yum!!!! I hate it when yogurt is runny & TJ's wasn't.
I was super bummed when Whole Soy & Co. went out of business because it was THE BEST vegan yogurt hands down! I've sampled many brands since then and I agree with you, Chris, So Delicious Strawberry Banana is my favorite! Their raspberry & vanilla flavors are good too. Kite Hill Almond Milk & Silk Almond Milk yogurts had a weird film that coated my mouth that I didn't like. I'll have to check out the Forager and FYH 'gurts! Thanks for another great, informative video, Cesar & Chris!
They all looked so good. It's almost midnight and I'm craving yogurt now. My batch is still culturing. I'm tempted to pick up a few of the flavors, like the pineapple one if I can find it in this small town. We don't have much variety. :(
We love Silk brand Blueberry flavor the best, it's too bad you didn't try that one. Forager brand Vanilla flavor the best, but their yogurts are too runny and the runniest, plus very expensive. Will try Follow Your Heart brand when it comes out this summer.
I can't afford to pay high price for a little yogurt. I make my own, it's so easy. Get soy milk that is only soy beans and water, either buy Bulgarian yogurt starter (or what kind of yogurt starter you like) or plain active culture soy yogurt from store. With the dry culture I pour a little into the 32 ounce carton of soy milk, shake, pour into my yogurt maker bowl. It's ready in 12 hours (how I like it) thick and a bit tangy. Then you can flavor it from there if you'd like. I'll use a small spoon of fruit preserves for flavor. If I have it with granola I don't flavor it. 32 ounces of yogurt for the cost of soy milk and a little starter...about 3-4 dollars, no chemicals and only soy milk and jam if you add it.
You've got it! Homemade is really the way to go. It's not much work, tastes as good or better than anything you can buy, and is more ecologically sound, too.
Target started carrying Kite Hill, and the Kite Hill cream cheese is about $1.50 cheaper there than at Whole Foods. You can also find a dollar off coupon at Kite Hill's website right now :)
I love that Forager has a plain, unsweeetened yogurt that comes in a small container. I use it all the time as a sour cream substitute. Even though it's thin, the taste is a great replacement. I actually don't min the Forager brand overall, but you need to dump in some granola for them to be really tasty. Personally though, until some company makes a low fat/fat free thick Greek style vegan yogurt, I'll just abstain.
So Delicious is tasty, Kite Hill doesn't taste anything like yogurt lol threw me back when I expected it to taste exact like regular yoplait yogurt. It has a very yogurt consistency though. I actually like that one and have been searching for the greek one since before vegan always loved greek yogurt. The Good Karma by far was the worst one i've tasted. I tried putting fresh blueberries in it and still couldn't deal with it.
My sister needs to go dairy free because her son might be allergic to dairy and she is breast feeding and she's kinda needs some help on what she should go with that is safe for moms with babies. I told her silk and almond breeze but I dont know if almonds are ok for babies. I need some help from you and also if theres any moms that want to help please I need all the help I can get.
1) Rice Dream is your best bet (rice, non-GMO, unsweetened, the best is Sprouted Rice Dream, also comes in Vanilla & Chocolate). 2) Living Harvest Hemp Milk or Pacific Hemp Milk. 3) Coconut milk unsweetened, organic. No nuts, wheat or GMO soy in those.
Although the science is still not completely clear on arsenic's ability to pass through breast milk, I think it is wise for breast feeding women to be careful about ingesting rice products. And certainly pregnant women and babies and young children should be very careful about rice intake. nutritionfacts.org Dr. Greger's blog and UA-cam channel has good info on rice safety.
A brand I like is Daiya. I buy it whenever it's on sale. My favorite flavor is black cherry. I'm sure you all would have liked it if it was available at your store.
Great video, love the taste tests (and definitely do a cream cheese taste test, please!). I've tried several of these brands and my favs are Silk soy and Good Karma. Some of the ones you tried were way more than I would want to pay for yogurt. Can't wait to try Follow Your Heart!
Thanks for this review. After my first chalky experience, I kinda put vegan yogurt on the back burner. I picked up three from Wegman's today. Kite Hill was a little too nutty - tasting, but I did like the Good Karma berry flavored. I kinda like the 'flax seedy'taste. The Lavva brand was on sale so I got it . . . nope . . . just nope. It's similar to G.T. yogurt.
I love the texture of the So Delicious yogurt. I use their plain for cooking, overnight oats, and anything else I want yogurt for. I like the soy silk as well. Those are good. Thanks for the review, it's nice to see other kinds!
Someone used to make a coconut milk-based yogurt (I think by So Declisiou) that was passionfruit. It was SO GOOD, but I haven't seen it in over a year.
Please share your mac and cheese recipe!! I love the plain kite hill for dressings too. I usually get either that or the plain Forager yogurt to make vegan salad dressing :)
I see I'm going to just have to make my own vegan yogurt. The only ones shown here that I'm not allergic to were the Good Karma yogurts. Haven't tried the Strawberry (they didn't have it available), but I tried the other ones and didn't like them. However, I bought their plain flavor to use for cooking and making dips. I could do the vegan soy yogurts if they didn't manufacturing them with other allergens (which Silk does, as they have an allergy warning on all their products). I looked up the Follow Your Heart yogurts, and it sounds like they're probably made with nut or coconut milk too, so I won't be trying those out when they come out.
Taylah Jackson Aldi has a new one. Yoconut. Just Coconut milk, tapioca, and vegan cultures. Better than Coyo which has Xanthan gum(yuck). On par with Nakula.
i only like silk soy yogurt and the so delicious coconut....the almond milk based yogurts don't taste right to me. interested about the flax milk yogurt, will have to look for it next time im at the store, thanks for the vid!!!
Taste tests are the best. Honest opinions and lots of choices. I have only had kite hill non-greek. So first step "wash your hands" 😉😁 and the yogurt lid removal theory; Spit in the least preferable direction, my shirt! Thank you Chris and Cesar! 🌱💚✌
Thanks guys I just tried some Vega protein vegan yogurt and Daiya it was pretty good. The best part of this video is I can go to that actual Ralph’s and know that stuff is there, it’s only 10 minutes from my apartment.
We have 2 flavors of so delicious and 2 silk flavors lol. The key lime so delicious is my fav(use to love yoplaits key lime so it does taste the closes). Silk soy vanilla is the other one I like. Wish I had all those options :) Kite Hill has a soapy after taste to me...but only tried their cream cheese, since that's the only product we have of theirs.
Regular Greek yogurt the whey is removed and more tangy tasting.the whey is strained off the solid yogurt. Regular yogurt is strained twice, so there is still some liquid left in the end product.Regular Greek yogurt is strained three times, so most of the liquid is removed. This is what gives Greek yogurt its’ thicker consistency . Because Greek yogurt is more “concentrated,” it has more protein than regular yogurt. The protein is left behind in the solid yogurt during the straining process.I think since vegan yogurt has no whey, they calling the greek "style" because the consistency is thick like regular greek yogurt.
I love vegan yogurt, but selection is very limited at most stores. Whole Foods and Sprouts are the only stores in my area that may have some of these. Thanks for sharing!
Stephanie SoDelicious is awesome! Their ice cream is delicious - I ate the whole AlmondMilk Mint Chip in one sitting... definitely not a health vegan lol! Not a fan of their plain cashew ice cream but the Cashew Chocolate Dipped Caramel bars - SO GOOD OMFG! I also used to have whipped cream waffles every morning and couldn’t find any vegan whip cream that matches it except SoDelicious is a great company for dairy alternatives.
Vegan yogurt 🙆🙆🙆🙆. I use to eat Greek yogurt. Strained yogurt, Greek yogurt, yogurt cheese, sack yoghurt or labaneh, is yogurt that has been strained to remove most of its whey, resulting in a thicker consistency than unstrained yogurt, while preserving yogurt's distinctive sour taste 🤢🤢🤢 Glass containers love it
Love Cesar!
I put the GTS plain on an oat waffle with fresh fruit for an extra treat.
Lavva is the best to me✌🏻
I love all your videos...but especially your taste test videos. So helpful!!
The plain coyo and cocoyo work great for anything you’d use sour cream for. I often mix either with salsa & taco seasoning for the best dressing ever.
Silk's almond milk yogurt is my favorite
thank you so much for this video! it's so helpful!
so delicious vanilla for the win! amazing texture great flavor!
That added clip was awesome! :)
just wanted to point out that the Silk yogurt and the SO Delicioious are the only ones you can usually find at a regular grocery story under 3 dollars. My fave is Osoy soy yogurt blueberry. Also Daiya is very good. So is Kite Hill.
My favorite is the Silk. I swear it tastes like the yoghurts I had back in Europe.
I actually just posted a taste test of 16 vegan yogurt brands and I agree with you on most of the yogurts you tried. My fave brands were Stonyfield O'Soy, Daiya Greek Yogurt, and Silk Almond milk.
I love the so delious and the foriger yogurt

I've been loving ur vids very helpful my son can't have dairy or soy So this helps a lot thanx for sharing
Finally people taste testing with different spoons and cleaning in between.
Lavva yogurt is amazing, if you haven't tried it! Original is the best flavour and, as a bonus, they have no added sugar!
If you're ever in So Cal, Blöde Kuh makes the amazing cashew yogurt (they also have the very best vegan cheese I've ever tried as well). I think I like all the vegan yogurts, lol. The GT's is a favorite of mine. My favorite overall flavor is blueberry.
Greek yogurt is supposed to be more sour and thicker (probably it's fermented longer)
As a yogurt aficionado I can confirm that the The Kite Hill Greek Yogurt is da bomb!
Trader Joe's used to have the best selling yogurt, it was soy based. My favorite flavor was 🍑 peach & it had chunks of delicious peaches all in it, yum!!!! I hate it when yogurt is runny & TJ's wasn't.
Whole Soy, the company that made that yogurt, sadly went out of business.
Seitanic Girl oh no!!😢That definitely explains why, thanks!
having a hard time finding follow your heart products in ny. only the veganaise. will look for yogurts!! thx vegan zombie & 4ever
I was super bummed when Whole Soy & Co. went out of business because it was THE BEST vegan yogurt hands down! The peach kite hill is so good!:)
We love Silk brand Blueberry flavor the best, it's too bad you didn't try that one. Forager brand Vanilla flavor the best, but their yogurts are too runny and the runniest, plus very expensive. Will try Follow Your Heart brand when it comes out this summer.
I LOVE the dark chocolate coconut silk almond milk yogurt!!!
I can't afford to pay high price for a little yogurt. I make my own, it's so easy. What is the name of the new yogurt that will be on July?
I typically buy Forager brand and I love the
lemon one. Thanks guys.
Kite hill taste like chapstick to me silk soy is my fave nondairy yogurt specifically the pineapple.
Silk Vanilla Soy Milk Yogurt is my favorite vanilla I have tried so far!!!
You should definitely do a cream cheese taste test!! The only one I've found that I like is kite hill, but it's so expensive.
Target started carrying Kite Hill, and the Kite Hill cream cheese is about $1.50 cheaper there than at Whole Foods. You can also find a dollar off coupon at Kite Hill's website right now :)
have you tried Tofutti cream cheese? It taste very much like what I remember cream cheese tasting like. :)
I buy Trader Joe’s one and I like it.
Yep, Tofutti is the brand I always buy..it tastes like the cream cheese I 'used to' eat.
I can’t wait to try the follow your heart! I really have not found a favorite vegan yogurt yet.
I love that Forager has a plain, unsweeetened yogurt that comes in a small container. I use it all the time as a sour cream substitute. Even though it's thin, the taste is a great replacement. I actually don't min the Forager brand overall, but you need to dump in some granola for them to be really tasty. I figured Chris would choose vanilla bean cause he likes vanilla milk and protein powder!! Vanilla my go to flavor as well!! Great video!!!
You and Cesar are SOOOOOOO lucky you didn't find the Ripple ones.....
Forager is my favorite. I'm excited for the follow you heart ones!
So Delicious is tasty, Kite Hill doesn't taste anything like yogurt lol threw me back when I expected it to taste exact like regular yoplait yogurt. It has a very yogurt consistency though. I am so glad follow your heart is still innovating and thriving. I love them as a company and I really like their new products.
I agree :)
One of the best vegan cheeses is from follow your heart ❤️
OMG Ralph's! I remember 'Rocker Ralph's' on Sunset with such fun memories, filled with all the rockers in the wee hours for treats n things, LOVE it!
There used to be a soy yogurt in an all blue container that I loved but I haven't seen it in a few years. Best peach yogurt ever
vireyda54 was it Whole Soy? I loved theirs but they folded.
Yes! Yes it was theirs. Thank you for reminding me of their name. I'm so sad they are gone.
I miss Whole Soy. They're yogurt really was the best. My boyfriend hasn't found a vegan yogurt he likes since.
My sister needs to go dairy free because her son might be allergic to dairy and she is breast feeding and she's kinda needs some help on what she should go with that is safe for moms with babies. The Daiya Greek Yogurt ones are also really good if you get a chance to try them...
Silk soy yogurt is my favorite. I love all the flavors. Thanks for the video!
For Greek yogurt you've got to get the DAIYA -- it's thicker with no weird aftertaste & comes in black cherry, strawberry, blueberry, peach etc.
IKR! So good:)
Good info! I love Follow your heart! Can’t wait for their yogurt to hit the shelves!
I'm so excited too. Those flavors sounds amazing, and Follow Your Heart makes such awesome products!

The Silk soy milk yogurts and the Kite Hill Greek yogurts are my favorites! The Kite Hill Greek yogurt is definitely an acquired taste though.
I love the So Delicious ones (especially the blueberry and raspberry flavor). They are my favorite 😍
Thanks for this review. After my first chalky experience, I kinda put vegan yogurt on the back burner. I picked up three from Wegman's today. I'm a total slut for yogurt so it's nice to know there are vegan options.
I love the Silk soy based yogurt. Very creamy and has the texture of milk based yogurt.
same i always go back
I love the texture of the So Delicious yogurt. I use their plain for cooking, overnight oats, and anything else I want yogurt for. I like the soy silk as well. Those are good. Thanks for the review, it's nice to see other kinds!

I tried kite hill and I hated it! I love that cashew yogurt so much!
KITE HILL PLAIN!! I use it to make salad dressings and vegan mac and cheese sauce. YUMMMMMMMMM
Please share your mac and cheese recipe!! I love the plain kite hill for dressings too. I usually get either that or the plain Forager yogurt to make vegan salad dressing :)
And, the plain can be seasoned to be a veggie or fruit dip!
gina insler my go to for tzatziki sauce 👌
I tried Kite Hill plain almond. Gelatinous texture and absolutely no cultured yogurt taste. Couldn't gag it down.
OMG strawberry rhubarb is my favorite. Can't wait to find these.
So delicious coconut milk strawberry is my favorite one. It's so good. Which was your favorite one overall?
Now this is a real yogurt review!
I see I'm going to just have to make my own vegan yogurt. The only ones shown here that I'm not allergic to were the Good Karma yogurts. Wow America is not cheap! those yogurts, to me, are so expensive I couldn't justify getting them... or maybe I'm just broke.😰
Go homemade. MUCH cheaper and hardly any work.
yummmm they look delicious. Australia dont sell many vegan yogurts
Taylah Jackson Aldi has a new one. Yoconut. Just Coconut milk, tapioca, and vegan cultures. Better than Coyo which has Xanthan gum(yuck). On par with Nakula.
So delicious Strawberry/Banana is soooooo good!!
i only like silk soy yogurt and the so delicious coconut....the almond milk based yogurts don't taste right to me. interested about the flax milk yogurt, will have to look for it next time im at the store, thanks for the vid!!!
same silk soy is my most favorite! i cant wait to try the second to last one though!
Yes it tastes TERRIBLE even kite hills almond yogurt sucked
@@j9501b Agreed!
Silk soy yogurt is the best, I've tried the forager and I couldn't even finish it
Good karma vanilla is the best!👍
Maybe you should drink water between each taste testing.
U know!!!!!!
I used to love Nancy's dairy free yogurt! I haven't been able to find it in about 7 years but it was by far the best.
I cant wait for the follow your heart non dairy yogurt to come out!
Wish I had all those options :)
Kite Hill has a soapy after taste to me...but only tried their cream cheese, since that's the only product we have of theirs.

Plant Maven Dani is explaining what regular Greek yogurt is.
I love vegan yogurt, but selection is very limited at most stores. Whole Foods and Sprouts are the only stores in my area that may have some of these. Thanks for sharing!
If your reading this run don’t walk for the silk chocolate coconut ITS AMAZING
Why doesn't people like soy? Soy is awesome!
I agree!
If the vegan yogurt is Organic and non GMO then its fine-over 90% of soybeans in North America are GMO!
The So Delicious CHANGED MY LIFE!! I was highly impressed by the taste and texture, absolute favorite.
Stephanie yesssss. Like eating dessert 🙌
have you tried the key lime? Its so good!
I have only tried silk brand yogurt. It’s so good that I don’t care about trying others lol
A lot of the vegan yogurts taste better than dairy yogurt imo
Like all of them :)
Vegan yogurt 🙆🙆🙆🙆. I use to eat Greek yogurt.
Strained yogurt, Greek yogurt, yogurt cheese, sack yoghurt or labaneh, is yogurt that has been strained to remove most of its whey, resulting in a thicker consistency than unstrained yogurt, while preserving yogurt's distinctive sour taste 🤢🤢🤢
Glass containers love it
Great taste test! But I was waiting for you to eat so delicious yellow dragonfruit! Would have been great with some yogurt on it 😀
