OH NO!!!! Chris I totally get it. Obviously, we your loyal viewers, will sorely miss your insights and amazing playing. I knew you'd eventually be a busy, gigging pro guitarist, so honestly--I'm glad you kept it up as long as you did. Will always look forward to any updates you may do in the future, but regardless, thank you for this channel and all that you've done and will continue to do moving forward. Much success to you and yours!!! Cheers.
Thank you Thank you Thank you Chris. It's been awesome for this 60 year old retired guitarist/musician to come across such a talent as yourself. I've thoroughly enjoyed every minute of your footage. Much respect and best wishes from the south pacific New Zealand.
This is truly the end of a great era. UA-cam could never adequately compensate for the amount of work and passion it took to put out a weekly video for 7 years. Just all of Chris’s guitar jams alone over those 7 years is epic UA-cam viewing. Thank you for everything Chris!
Don't know of you'll read this Chris, but in spite of my littleness as a guitar player you deeply changed my way of playing, and no thanks will ever be enough.
No need to thank me for watching. I most sincerely thank you for the opportunity to watch! May your live playing bring you as much joy as I get from hearing your recordings. Thank you so much for what you have done. And I look forward to any videos to come in the future.
@@shawnbenz Huh? Why? Nothing against him whatsoever, but he's a tech demo guy? He's a decent player, but I'd bet my life 90% of Chris's crowd is here for the playing above all else. His playing is wildly inventive, while McKnight is a traditionalist who's guitar playing is about gear demos. I wouldn't put them in the same space as players go, so I don't understand the rec sorry.

As much as any musician may enjoy the process of communicating with an audience through social media there is in Adam Neely's words a validation in performing to an audience. I get it. And I cannot see how anyone can tour and feed the algorithm at the same time. Best of luck with the tour and the band. But please don't disappear from UA-cam entirely. We need musicians who are "somewhat proficient"!
Devasted to hear that you're calling time on Friday Fretworks - Fridays just won't be the same without my FFFix! That said, we should be lauding your 7-year body of work which has been nothing short of amazing, combining your exceptional ability to teach, share and communicate with your amazing guitar virtuosity - a unique fusion of artitstry, eloquence and inspiration, in my (fairly) extensive opinion and experience. Bon Chance, mon ami and immeasurable tributes and thanks to you and yours. Hopefully, we're talking Au Revoir rather than Adieu!
Chris, your Dad introduced me to Friday Fretworks knowing that I knew nothing about guitars and less about how to make music but without fail he would send me a link with clear pride when he thought I would like a topic. He wasn't wrong, your clear intelligence, enthusiasm and knowledge of your passion was infectious and it became more of a weekly history lesson for me with the added bonus of appreciating your generational talent. I thank you for widening my knowledge and for providing a Friday treat with the joy that used to be supplied in the form of Sherbet Dib Dab by my Dad. I had many conversations with Dory about Photography but I can hear his intelligence and talent for making words sing through you. I deeply miss my conversations with him, a lot of which was the glowing pride he had for what you've achieved. Thank you Chris, your chosen path will only get better I'm sure.
Heart is broken but happy for you, brother!! You're kicking ass with cardinal Black, so I know there's only good things coming your way!!! will always have my love and support!

We shall not morn it's passing, but fondly remember and attempt to honor all the things we've learned, as I'm sure you have. Your old man must have been extremely proud. Much love from France.
