If all you're looking for is one metal sound, find some good distortion stompboxes like Boss MetalZone. You really don't need a complicated setup just for high gain. And you really can't go that much off demo reels. I find that they NEVER do a good job (even high end models like GT-10) of showing off the pedal. I had a Zoom G2 that sounded better than this, but I know the ME-70 is light years ahead of it in an actual playing setting.

DC-in is for the adaptor. you can use the ME-70 on battery's but also with an adaptor. Yes you can connect usb, on AUX-in. Sorry for my english, i'm belgian. I've got the ME-70 so you may pretty sure about the awnser ^^ greatzzz

I can't seem to get the Pedal/FX to work. If you look at 1:01 of this video, the Pedal/FX light is lit but I can't get mine to light up and work. Can anybody help?

i got mine last week the distortion and overdrive is brilliant if u get the right effects!! and there is no question the me 70 is better than the me 50 because its got all the same stuff but new features and loop station so its realy good so spend the extra money on the me 70!

I have this pedal and I love it. There's a couple of videos of me using it :D. The great thing about this pedal is that u don't need an amp when you're practicing. All i had to do is plug the pedal in, plug my guitar into the pedal and then plug earphones in.
Besides the harmonizer, are you happy with the ME-50? Can you get a really good distortion on it? Are the Modulation effects good? And is the Wah pedal on it good?
Boss is the pros' choice? Nah, I think that no matter how many options there are, the pros always choose the most expensive effects that have the word "analog" on them.
I remember repeating over and over again the part 1:36 to 2:02 when I was like 13, those riffs and cleans are sick!

Nothing compares to a good old fashioned tube amp + some stom boxes to shape it better. But hey, intelligent harmonizer? Erm, kinda curious o_O

i love the mesa/boogie rectifier sound you can get on these
add metal distortion and solo and you have some kindof heavy distortion
