En 2006, le morceau apparaît dans le film Bobby. Elle apparaît ensuite dans Watchmen, Les Gardiens en 2008."

""The Sound of Silence" is the song that propelled the 1960s folk music duo Simon & Garfunkel to popularity. It was written in February 1964 by Paul Simon in the aftermath of the 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy. An initial version preferred by the band was remixed and sweetened, and has become known as "the quintessential folk rock release". In the U.S., it was the duo's second most popular hit after "Bridge Over Troubled Water".
In 1999, BMI named "The Sound of Silence" as the 18th-most performed song of the 20th century. In 2004, it was ranked #156 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, one of the duo's three songs on the list. "

Look at the picture qaulity and listen to the sound quality, the netherlands always had the best of cameras and mics. That's the reason their movies and series sucked, looked like a damned documentary!

A pity that what was said before the song was cut :/

before the song takes of, at the introduction, Simon plays 'In The Ghetto"... Did they cover that song, and if yes, where to get this? Reason: the way Simon plays the intro is... magnificent... Thank you aforehand.
it's not In the Ghetto its the intro of the simon & garfunkel song I Am a Rock
Does anyone know where you can get this particular HQ recording? It's from a 1966 Dutch TV-special called "Twien", on a channel called "NCRV" - though I haven't figured out where you can get the recording yet. This particular video is in incredible quality: does anyone know where the poster got it from?
Don't you have a UA-cam download program? Do a search. There are lots of them. Don't know if you would get higher quality than this.
L Pkc 1964 u mean
This video is older than me
Before they changed the title from Sounds to Sound. What is the name of the guitar technique he uses starting at :50? It isn't basic strumming. It has a special sound. They took the tempo way too fast in those earlier years.
Disagree, the tempo here is much better
Немного спешат.. слова наседают на музыку быстрее чем нужно.... и темп быстроватый. Но голос великолепен
I watched Disturbed's version of this song before I watched this song.

THROUGH THE ACOUSTIC VERSION I FINALLY UNDERSTAND THE CRINGE RHYTHM. ITS NOT CRINGE AT ALL. PEOPLE DIDN'T KEEP THE ACTUAL RHYTHM IN MIND WHEN TRANSPOSING THIS TO DIFFERENT VARIATIONS. I can die happy now
Anyone else think that Garfunkel sounded like Christopher Walken when he was talking at the beginning?
If it wasn't for Garfunkel, Paul Simon would have been nothing.
h
Clearly auto tuned.
Your smart huh? Lol
They didn't have auto tune back then.
Minute 1:58 is James Taylor???
Imcrivel
