I would like to recommend the Bayad Ubud Bali Villa resort in Payangan, about 8kms (15 minutes drive) from Ubud central. The villas are clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and very helpful. They provide a complimentary shuttle into Ubud central daily and back again 3 times daily.

I never try it but I will in my third trip next year :) Oh ya! You guys should checkout Wanagiri hills too. They have a lot of photo spots with an awesome view ;)
If you go to Indonesia, please go to Bandung, Bandung is a beautiful city with the fresh air in there and a lot of trees. Bandung is the city of Flower (Kota Kembang)
Trust me no one wanna go vacation and risk their life. For foreigners Java is radical or at least close minded people. The whole world knows Indonesia is beautiful but the people is chaos. They go to Bali for its peace, acceptance and tolerance
