I prepare my stems in advance, and I noticed that the stems library icon takes the place of the video icon which indicates if a music file has video. Is there a way to indicate that the file is both a video and a prepared stem?
Smart crates are great. I use them since the beginning. But please add an option for ‘added’..., like ‘last month’ or ‘last year’ for example. So it updates automatically.

Deleting the new order.pref file is not working such a long file and my automatic imported crates and sub crates subsubcrates (...etc...) looks very confused and it's really ugly to scroll down and looking for a specific subcrate. Is there anyone out the who knows a tip or fix for???
Hey Serato! Is it possible to add an ability to create a new crate inside other crate that already exists? For now we need to drag the new crate from the very bottom of the crate-list all the way up to the existing crate where we want it to be, it really uncomfortable, especially if you already have dozens of crates in Serato. Thanx!
I just upgraded to serato dj pro and a new mac. I got most of my music back in apple music playlists but serato dj pro only has half the tracks in its playlist. How do i get my playlists in serato complete again? Thanks
"Double file killer" is way better for deleting duplicate files, because you can search via meta data, so even duplicate files named differently, will show up. It is free too, and also works for all files.

Easiest way i have found is to have all the music you use with Serato to DJ with in the same place/HDD. Especially if you have a couple of installs of Serato on 2 Machines, put you Music onto 1 External HDD so when you switch machines you just plug said HDD into it. What i cannot figure out though is 'some' changes to Serato itself i make are not mirrored on the other machine, like for example i set up some ''smart crates'' on machine A when i fire up machine B with said HDD attached containing the Music those smart crates i made on A are not on B so you end up have to remake them. Kind of a small thing but it still bugs me :(
Dear Serato file tagging feature please. File tagging (as can be found in rekordbox) in combination smart crates will be a monster feature. If you can also pull stock tags from an online library like discogs will be sick. Smart Tags. Then user can add custom ones as well.
I honestly wish Serato would make the bottom half of the screen look more like Tidal or Spotify. Very much more open to all the music you have instead of only what you put in a crate. I’ll get stuck in a loop playing the same crates over and over instead of having fun playing my new music. Is smart crates the answer to this problem?
Create a smart crate with a date range. I create a new "latest tracks" smart crate every month with the last 30 days as the date range and every 3 months I merge them into a larger smart cate with the date range. It'l a lil work, but it keeps new music active
@@DjReeceVarnell I understand stand that thanks but not the same once keep creating create its going to be hard to manage. I tried it. Plus serato once you restart the program sometimes reorders your creates. Only way to do it cleanly is native within the app.
@@EvanBlack11 you must have a something wrong in your serato folder, my crates never move once I place them. Doing it alphabetically may not work for everybody so that's probably why they do it like that. it's more versatile. Go to the support page and follow the "creating a new database V2 file". It takes a couple minutes and might solve your crate problem. Thats the file that remembers everything.

the dupeguru was a major tip!!! i was always worried about deleting my huge music library duplicates, but coming from serato this can't go wrong.

How do you find a crate a song comes from? I searched for a song but couldn’t find the crate it was from

Recently started playing with serato. Any way I can stop the program from making duplicate files (after playing them) in my downloads folder on Mac?

Please add the ability to list your creates alphabetically, that would be huge for us.
You can drag and drop your crates in whatever order you want. Just uncheck protect library.
