Yes, please cover how those of us excema-prone can protect our barrier, anti-age, and repair our skin when broken. Especially during cold, winter, months. Many of us have heard from our derms the basics like no hot showers, no products with fragrance, and slather on the moisturizer. We need the next steps for what we can do when we feel the irritation begin, but redness can't be seen. This is the peak for whether our skin will cross to the side of hurting us or ease back to give us peace.

I love how she's well informed regarding to skincare but more importantly thank you Cassandra for explaining the roots of skincare, that is science. So far i have enjoyed your contents the most and I feel like it's the most easily digestible for people like me who are into science and wants to know what's behind every product yet doesn't have enough knowledge to dive deep into it. Each one of your contents have saved me HOURS of research, everything is also packed nicely into one video (although I watch it in 1.5x the speed just so everything is faster, but so far it's been rlly great) - plus, I appreciate times when you go off on a tangent for a bit, I can see how imaginative you are and it has been very refreshing amidst all that scientific talk. omg... Get her
1.A thick moisturiser with ceramides.. the Cera ve in the big tub works well enough for me
2.A facial spray with calming ingredients... glycerin, panthanol, allantoin etc.
( many simple sprays have these ingredients)
      3. Amino acids or hyaluronic acid serum from The ordinary.
      4. hydrating face wash from Cera ve .
All very inexpensive products and works for me (extreme facial eczema)
wash face - spray some mist on the face- drop some hyaluronic/ amino acid on the face - seal it all in with a good coat of Cera ve . I love skincare but for eczema, the key is to seal in moisture.

if they’re homeless, they likely aren’t gonna have reliable access to running water and even if they do, it could be rly stressful to consistently get to it to cleanse their face etc. so a nice affordable micellar water from the drugstore, moisturizer from same, and sunscreen that doesn’t hurt their skin. i’ve had success with homeless friends having this type of routine and gaining a sense of normalcy and self care and self worth. this world is so messed up toward the homeless it makes me want to 🤬🤬🤬

Hi Cassandra I have both rosacea and eczema prone mature skin. Usually products that suit eczema sufferers are suitable for overall sensitive skin and/or dry skin. Having rosacea as well means my skin is hypersensitive and my moisture barrier is permanently impaired. I'm extremely careful what I put on my skin and do scrutinise the ingredient lists to try to avoid known irritants (like the grapefruit oil). Her skin doesn't look dry, but youthful and hydrated/plump tbh. My skin is a constant battle to keep moisturised, whilst still using actives for anti aging and anti inflammatory ingredients. Some eczema recommendations are always welcome, as we're all searching for the "perfect" moisturiser etc. Levels of dryness are different though and options based on how it performs on levels of dryness/atopic issues would be useful, mentioning texture and occlusive properties. Best wishes.

I would love to see a video on eczema. It's something I was born with 46 years ago. It comes and goes with the weather, how much I exercise, and my diet. My comes in forms of dry, flaky, itchy red-pink patches, ranging from 1/4" to 1.5". Usually in a circle, but sometimes a rectangle. My arms, lower legs, and the tops of my feet get it the most. I don't think I've ever seen a patch on my face. I've been using Hydrocortisone creams for it until the patch disappears, but I dislike using it. Last month I watched Dr. Dray's video on it and grabbed Aveno in a tub and it helps more than I anticipated, but I'd love to hear more from you, and even break down the science/reason it happens, with the little sciencey skin pictures you use.
    Thank you!

I too have eczema, and I get it on my legs and sometimes in the bend of my arms. It comes and goes for me too. Personally, I use the Origins Mega-Mushroom Relief and Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion on it whenever it gets bad to both help heal it and to also help soothe the pain (it's a bit like a cooling treatment and an anti-itch all in one in my opinion). If it's really bad then I follow it up with my prescription cream (Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1%), and about an hour later I follow it up with the Cerave Moisturizing Cream. But most of the time I just use the Origins product and the Cerave Moisturizing Cream. I've found that this routine works a lot better than anything I've ever done before. I used to use hydrocortisone as well, and for me it hurt a lot to use. I'm not sure exactly why you said you disliked using Hydrocortisone, but if it's because it hurts to use I totally get that. I've had eczema since birth, I'm 18 years old, and for most of my life I would use Hydrocortisone creams and I would be pressing ice packs to my eczema because it hurt so much to put it on, but because it worked better than other stuff I'd tried I just stuck with it. But a few years ago I had to change up my routine due to many things (I moved to another state, got a staph infection, changed dermatologists, figured out I was allergic to Lanolin, and much more), and I'm so happy I did because my current routine is so much better. My current routine still hurts a little bit to put on, but it hurts about at the same level of putting moisturizer on regular (aka not eczema) dry skin, were it burns for a few seconds and then goes away almost immediately. So I would recommend those two products for you to try. The Origins Mega-Mushroom line is supposed to be really good for sensitive skin, so if you wanna look into the moisturizer from that line that might be good too (although I haven't tried that product so I can't say if it works or not). Obviously I can't know if that will work for your skin at all, but it might be worth looking into. I hope I helped in some way. 😊

Hi Cassandra! I use the ordinary peeling solution every Friday, and I recently ordered the glycolic acid solution from TO as well! Can you please inform me on when I should use this toning solution? I don’t use any other actives other than the the peeling solution, TO niacinamide+zinc which I use every day and night, and the salicylic acid cleanser by the inkey list which I use every morning

    • @lirondavid9282
      @lirondavid9282 3 роки тому

From personal experience if you are using the peeling solution once a week with no issues then you can add another time during the week when you are using the glycolic acid toner. Exfoliate 2 times a week is great for oily skin , i wouldn't do more then that. I personally use HA serum post the ordinary peeling solution and then put a good moisturizer. Niacinimide is also great.
In the mornings post the toner and the peeling solution I wash with a gentle cleanser. Other mornings I also use SA wash.

Regarding her moisturizer. The one she is using have sunscreen in it and is a duel moisturizer and sunscreen that can be used for morning and night. I have it and I find it so much easier than putting moisturizer and having to wait to put on sunscreen. I am sure if she didn’t have this product she wouldn’t be putting sunscreen at night. I thought this was understood from her comment, but I guess not. It’s a great product.

@@ccap3211 if you read you will see that it is a duel cream. I do not have time to apply both as so I opt to use this one. I have extremely dry skin which is why I use this.

@@Zenmasterzzz dual cream? It’s just a moisturizing sunscreen. That’s perfectly fine to apply in the morning but I would get a regular moisturizer to use at night that does not contain spf. I get that it’s a good moisturizer that happens to have spf in it but spf filters aren’t great for your skin and you shouldn’t be sleeping with those filters on your face.
