World pins also feature the 80 as the quantity, may even have some skellingtons from the Doom and Sons (the first haunted house at the park) props although they could be original Haunted House props or new. All skellingtons look a lot alike! But definitely references that original haunted house and the more recent one. Also this would be an epic way to tease a new ride, they could pop something in there and see if anyone spots the clue! There's also Icon on the poison box text but that's a rival park so maybe just coincidental! Love these easter eggs though, corkscrew one is especially awesome. And 'steel' on the blades box- wood and steel!, matches - another Wicker Man tie in and also Sparks (Keith Sparks Doom and Sons manufacturer/designer link), and does the attic reference 'The Attic' scaremaze? Is there any relevance to the new The Invitation scaremaze that had its debut last year (interesting backstory and date!)? Interestingly I think but am not 100percent sure Talbot Street led up to the area where the new indoor coaster is being built, as the street led up to what became known as 'coaster corner', where I think the new building is, hmm, another coincidence or a connection? Naughty corner indeed? It once had The Beast and Alton Mouse. Re the ride does seem we're going into the dollhouse which was the awesome theory lots of us had, so seems like it will be good with the projection mirror and other effects, hide and seek in a paranormal phantom playtime? This isn't all of it (which is good as you want some to discover when you ride it) so the whole experience is looking promising.
Can you just imagine the bit in the concept art with Emily opening the house imagine in the ride she opens the house and the screening duel head just pops out and go aghhh
i am now stuck between if i should go on wicker man, Rita, or cure at Alton manor first since this week will be the first time in my life i will go to Alton towers also i hope it doesn't rain and if it does then i will just ask to go on the day when the smiler takeover event is running
for me, if AT got really clever, what they should have done was some how tie up all 3 'spooky attractions' some how. so Curse, Hex and the Alton dungeons. maybe not a direct tie up but easter eggs in each one to make it like, a universe.
It looks really good but can you clean my wallet arachnophobia, this is the closest I will to get to the ride. Good thing for me is that when I’m on my way down for my first ride on the Smiler on Saturday morning, at least it should be a bit easier because all of you will be making your way over to the Curse. 😎
Seems like 70% of the theming in this ride is just Easter Eggs and references to other rides. They should've just called it "Easter Egg: The Ride" or "Emily Alton's Warehouse of Subliminal Advertisements for Other Attractions".

So the Duel house was where Emily lived. The ‘parties’ were the riders.
This is arguably the best haunted house ride now on the planet. And yes I do mean better than Disney’s.
