35 Hidden Secrets You May Have MISSED at Alton Towers!!

- Alton Towers is the biggest theme park in the uk, with so many different rides and attractions.. The Smiler, Wickerman, Nemesis Reborn and their dark rides like Curse at Alton Manor and Hex! When visiting the park though we often walk around and don't take in absolutely everything that's around us.. including those little easter eggs and hidden secrets within areas and sometimes on the rides... so today i have listed more than 35 (probably) hidden secrets you might have missed there!

Oblivion used to have a voice saying "don't look down" at the top of the ride. This ceased due to complaints from local residents.

As far as I’m aware, the projector in oblivions queue line was from the planetarium that was once where oblivion/smiler stood

the glass near the end of the smiler shop IS the right way round, just it has fogged up due to tons of people walking over it everyday!
The thing I’m most supervised I didn’t know from this list is the Wicker Man ram face in the ride photo shop area, I have genuinely never seen it before…
I went to Alton Towers last weekend and had a blast. Rita was actually one of my favourite rides, and a lot better than Dan keeps making it out to be.
I did catch a nod to John Wardley on the curse at Alton Manor development signs, and I think I might’ve seen the code “SW” at some point.

@digitaldan you may have missed it but plastered around forbidden valley is J.W 94 and J.B 24 and as you pointed out the jw is John Wardley but the 94 is 1994 (when original nemesis opened) so jb is John burton 2024 (when nemesis reborn opened). It’s cool and also when nemesis reborn reborn opens it will have its new creator’s initials and (probably) 54 for 2054.
7:35 anyone notice the fact it was established in 92 - when it originally opened?

when you go on oblivion when you here the bang when it goes through it its because the drop is not verticle so it actually comes off the track and when you hear the bang it is it slamming back on the tracks !!!!

Funny story: My physics teacher was talking about motion (specifically acceleration) and he brought up Rita and said it was the best ride in the park 💀. One of my friends said it was overrated as hell and they wasted half the lesson arguing over whether it was a good ride or not. 😭🤣
He brought up Rita to explain how acceleration works and how the launch works as well. He brings up rollercoaster a lot cuz he loves them and they're actually gud for physics work.
I wish I was in that class now 😆

@@SK99v1 It's the UKs brand new tallest and fastest coaster, it's not going anywhere anytime soon. Plus no rides have been reliable at all this year. Todays rollback seems to have just been a weight issue with the wind and dummies.
