I haven’t listened to vocaloid/utau in years. This sounds so much more natural than some early songs. The only way I could tell it was synthesized by listening was the way most of them hit their consonants perfectly (especially hard t’s in Eleanor’s case where most real people would use a d or skip the sound altogether) and the way some of them (especially Kagamine Len) pronounced their vowels too perfectly, probably because it takes real people time to move their mouths into the correct position, causing vowels to sound slightly different in different words (even in Japanese). Sorry for the long comment, this is just really interesting to me.

It's incredibly smooth. I love it. Edit: upon second listen, I can definitely hear he realistic edge to it in certain bits. I believe a little more isolation would have made it perfect. 10. Didn't really hit the realistic spot for me, I think maybe deeper notes would have given it that edge. Still top tier though.

This is kinda related to this video, but I see a lot of people who think Gakupo sounds bad, but they've only heard Dancing Samurai (no hate to Dancing Samurai, I love the song) and maybe something that used too high pitched of a sound for him. While this can work, it seems that singing syths sound better when they aren't singing too high. For stuff that is well-tuned and features Gakupo, I recommend *nekoshey* (the person who made the Dancing Samurai cover in this video), *Lucifer* (who has made a lot of good singing synth covers), and *Creuzer* (another person who is really good at using singing synths). tbh the point of this is that I really want people to hear these people's covers and well-tuned Gakupo stuff.
