@Rhykker As SuperLifestream said; There is an indication that an aspect is an upgrade. When you go to any vendor, or the blacksmith, there will be a symbol in the top right corner of the item icon in your inventory. This lets you know it's an aspect upgrade.
vessels were not a good dlc rhykker im telling this being someone who liked d4,the thing is that vessels has only one good thing and that spiritborn, season theme of season 6 is unfun, undercity are not enough to get people play them for long, the region is pretty much same region of other zones but green this time and so on and on,spirit born is really fun and i actually cant wait if they rework other classes like nacro and others so that their abilities work togather but for now its just not good enough
That's the standard price for Diablo expansion. lod and ros cost almost the same. You expect the expansion to have the same content like base game? We already got a new op class, new area, new story, new level cap and skill point. Battlepass is free you don't need to spend anything to use it. Paid cosmetics are optional and will not affect gameplay at all. You get free cosmetics also from battlepass, twitch drops, events. Even in game armor looks good also with transmogrify features unlike PoE where the base armor sucks and made you looks like beggar wearing bucket on your head.
@@jameslambertus5820 im still searching for mephisto , oh wait... next expansion ? maybe? You cant charge people that amount of money and give less content than any seasonal event in most arpg games , some of them free They used the seasons to fix the game and change the loot system and they add 0 content People dont want a broken game , spiritborn can do pit 500 with ease hitting quintillions , makes no sense The crafting is way better than it was at release but ... still one of the worst in this genre And now that you mention POE and his cosmetics , they are way cheaper and even if you dont want to pay , you can do the challenges and get an entire set and also you can get a few free boxes with random cosmetics inside But lets keep POE outside this debate , because diablo is not even close ,i know that poe is way older but blizzard need to wake up because poe 2 is geting closer and ... we know what is going to be
My biggest complaint with D4 is that they've somehow managed to kill all excitement about item drops. Running tormented bosses and getting an inventory full of "uniques" is not how these games should work. I should get excited when a unique drops, not bored out of my mind because I know the rolls on the item are going to make it useless 99% of the time.
Yeah I agree. Maybe the even bigger problem is we somehow went right back to "anything other than ancestral isn't a real item" status. As it is now once you hit any sort of endgame you just have inventory after inventory where players really only even look at 2 to 4 of them. TLDR: Item clutter is back in a big way.
I think the newer player base wants the game the way it is...They want their 'full build' up and running in the first week not praying for a certain unique to the Diablo gods for 3 months. It is what it is at this point, I don't see it going back ever.
@@Spacewalrus2010 I don't think you really understood. In past games, such as Grim Dawn and Diablo 2, you got MUCH less loot. It's not that much fun going through 50 items that you got within the past 5 minutes. There's just too much loot, it's not fun.
no. Uniques are usually labeled unique because it creates new builds possible and they work different from most item crafting They aren't supposed to be rare drops but drops with limitations. You're looking at Uber Uniques if you want the "rare drops"
As a newbie to ARPGs It might sound insane but this is why i don't follow build guides I play with it myself. Its more fun to me that I figure something out.
Even as a veteran, that is the best way to start the game. Later on, u might wanna adapt towards a stronger build from the internet if you plan to do all the content the game has to offer. Thats what i did at least and it was a great experience
D4 seems to have been built for content creators who push builds that someone else made. I am with you, if you have to look up a build, it is not fun to play.
@@enigma591 Not fun to play for you, for example for me i love that some theorycrafter dedicates time to make fluid fun build. It is subjective what is fun.
Spirit born is a well designed class as it's skill tree all weaves together. I.e. Spirit born: basic attack yeah all enemies knocked down GUARANTEED every hit. DRUID: basic attack has 10% chance to knockdown non elites.......what a joke.
The real problem with Spiritborn isn't just the Evade build or the Viscous Shield bug. The real problem is most of the strong builds are using exactly the same items and exactly the same set of skills, just with a different resource spender. That's INCREDIBLY lame.
exactly, the gameplay is the same you just spam a different ability and see some different colors. evade felt different but that build was obviously problematic for other reasons. it's partly because they did a very poor job in internal testing, overtuning certain items/aspects (and abilities) and not fixing massive bugs before release.
I think the bigger problem is the ultimate passives. SB has by far the most OP ultimate section and their ultimates are spammable to constantly keep them active.
Exactly! Yesterday I got the mythic weapon for SB. Looked for a build that uses it, there was none... New class new mythic weapon and no viable builds... I guess it's for sparks... I'll try to figure out something on my own just don't have the time...
@@phatymcdaddy Pretty much this. With Spiritborn you can turn an ultimate into a spammable basic. It will hit for less but still OP when spammed the crap out of.
In my opinion, Diablo excels as a single-player ARPG, and the shift toward an MMO hybrid in Diablo 4 undermines what made the series so iconic. In previous Diablo games, the campaign was the heart of the experience. You were the lone hero, traveling through distinct, atmospheric lands, each with its own identity, and you truly felt like the only one capable of saving the world. This sense of personal heroism and isolation is core to the Diablo experience. However, Diablo 4 moves away from this formula. The map feels like one large, blended area, where regions lose their individuality. More importantly, the constant presence of other players disrupts the feeling of being the "sole savior." This change shifts Diablo from a deep, immersive ARPG into something more like a shared world, which doesn’t have the same emotional weight. Additionally, the game’s progression system feels underwhelming. You can max out core skills early on with bonus points, but these skills barely improve throughout the campaign unless you're lucky enough to get the right gear drops. The monster level scaling makes it feel as though you aren’t progressing at all. It’s like starting Diablo 2 with a significantly nerfed max-level skeletal warrior right from the beginning, and the only way to make it stronger is by hoping for the right drops. This flattens the excitement of skill progression, a core part of what made past Diablo games so rewarding. If you’re playing in seasonal mode, the progression is faster and the game throws plenty of legendary and unique items at you. But after a certain point, when you’ve already gathered the necessary legendary aspects and Uniques for your build, it starts to feel repetitive. You find yourself constantly sorting through dozens of legendaries every few minutes, searching for minor improvements or items with the right modifiers. Once you finally do get a legendary with the modifiers you want, the process doesn’t stop there. You have to head back to town, apply the correct affix, and retemper it. Often, the tempering fails or doesn’t give you the results you need, even after several attempts, forcing you to either find a new item or use a scroll of restoration. If you choose to enchant the item, it quickly burns through your gold, making the whole process tedious and frustrating. For me, Diablo 4 just doesn’t capture the same sense of adventure and growth. I’d rather replay Diablo 2’s campaign for the 1000th time than slog through Diablo 4's a second time. Diablo thrives when it's focused on delivering a deep, single-player ARPG experience, and the MMO hybrid direction takes away much of what made the franchise so enjoyable.
Very well put, good sir. In the beggining of the video, Rhykker says something akin to "if you liked season2 and like where the game is going..." Well, we don't! Blizzard has, consistently, moved away from what made Diablo so iconic. Did we want a Diablo 2,5 ? I don't think so. There's plenty to hate about D2. But abandoning the core concept altogether is what killed it for me. Watch the gameplay clip that plays behind Rhykker in this video: It's number salad, with pop-ups and shiny effects... Where has the "diablo" portion gone? All I see is a PoE knock-off, sadly.
Rhykker, counting only reviews from the "Diablo 4 Community" is an incredibly bad way to get an accurate user rating on the game, especially since all the people that quit the game didn't like it. So if you don't count those reviews, you're literally discounting the vast majority of people that bought this game. I don't even understand why you'd try and limit the reviews of the game to current players. How does that make any sense at all???
Yeah, Rhykker will always find a positive spin on literally anything you can say about the game. "Oh wow!!! Look guys!!! This one class is insanely overpower and all the others are totally left in the dust!!! Isn't it cool and incredible that we all get to play this one class and the old ones are no longer viable? Just think how fun it is to play classes like this! I'm having so much fun playing this one class!!! Man, everyone else playing right now is also loving this class. You know, out of the 25 people watching my stream, all of us are playing the same class and we all love it. Haters gonna hate."
The video applies to people who want to play the game so why would he hold weight in reviews that aren’t relevant to those people. It isn’t rocket science.
This game runs lile hot garbage on my pc. its to the point that pots and all buffs of that nature need to stay after you get kicked. 90% of my pots/insense are wasted by server problems.
I think Blizzard was well aware of how imbalanced SB would be, but didn’t care because they know much of the community will just gravitate to whatever brokenness or exploit. And that will sell DLC and give the impression of massive popularity of the new class. And I think many of the praise about the class design is being mixed with people who just like and will always love whatever is most OP/broken. The party finder is essentially useless for every other class because it’s absolutely not fun to play with SB in party and feel like your contribution doesn’t matter. I do really like all the other aspects and features of the DLC. But SB’s balance situation makes the social play not enjoyable.
Just wanted to add that items with an upgrade over your current codex rank actually ARE marked, since you mentioned that would be a nice addition. There is a small gray icon in the corner of any item with 2 swords crossed indicating it's an upgrade. Has added a bit of excitement whenever I drop an ancestral and see the icon in the corner :)
Yep. The whole drama about bugged codex powers etc. was found to be a misunderstanding by the players reporting that "bug" and in fact found to be not bugged at all. I am glad the drama has overblown now. And yes, there's the little gray icon telling you "SALVAGE THIS TO UPGRADE YOUR CODEX." It almost screams at you if you pay any amount of attention to the items in your bags before salvaging (which I hope people do lol). Another "this is bugged" debunked.
Now i might be wrong, but wasnt that alreadly implemented last season or am i crazy? Because i instantly knew what that symbol above an legendary item meant, without any explanation.
I am not a fan of spending 30 minutes going through a bunch of garbage loot trying to find a single "4/4 aspect upgrade" that you so enjoy. I grind, loot and mass destroy all items for cosmetics, materials and aspects. The previous system would cripple my grinding and make me move onto other games like before. Casual players do not have enough time to complete everything each season after wipe after wipe. Hardcore players will push to get to top level and then farm everything else... resulting in content becoming "stale" and/or "boring" with "nothing to do". Take your time, Diablo 4 is a hack and slash looter and not a race. I'm enjoying the spiritborn but this wasn't my first choice to start with as I went with lightning spear sorc which is tremendously weaker in comparison, but you already know that. The "numbers squish" doesn't seem to apply to my spiritborn doing 900 million damage at times.
agree.. but be4 now.. a lot of things were worse.. myself and my friends for example have basically "beta tested" this game since it launched.. pre-seasons, s1.. s2.. were all way worse then what we have now.. hopefully they smooth things out in s7 and going forward.. i think one thing that will help address the "communication" challenges that Rhykker points to is possibly adding an in game guide like Last Epoch has.. and maybe they could consider loading in the patch notes too.. in game.. or at the very least a link in an in-game guide to the patch notes... just my thoughts on it. I also did not start with Spiritborn though I considered it.. it was my 2nd char this season.. i started DoK Rogue but struggled to even get to Torment IV. I am deeply disapointed in the power difference the other classes are at compared to Spiritborn. SB has constant barriers and 24/7 unstoppable, and very high dmg numbers without having to focus roll any specific stats their gears other than maybe max resolve stacks (unlike how it is for other classes).. it's kinda ridiculous. I also feel the devs should actually put in an official "race to the top" mode that could hopefully coincide with seasons .. like how last epoch had seasons(cycles) but you can also be Solo Self found within seasons or not. And would also be nice if they do something for eternal realm instead of 100% focus on seasons only.. it's lame.
My solution to the Codex problem is to make every salvage of an aspect count towards an upgrade. I'm not sure if it should be a geometric sequence (a single multiple maps the curve) or if it should be a power curve (growth rate slows, i.e. 1, 10, 14, 17, 19, 20), but the idea is simple: Each aspect salvaged adds to an XP bar. Higher levels provide more progress. An over-level aspect automatically sets it to that level. If we imagine a 21-tier aspect, then the growth should probably be something small, like double. This means salvaging 1-million low-level aspects could net you the highest roll. Or, of we consider the current 16/21 problem, those last 5 tiers could be had by salvaging 32 items with a 16/21. Realistically you won't get that many semi-perfect rolls, so we'd likely expect needing to salvage ~100 random rolls of that aspect. Then, on something with a short progress, like 1 to 5, then probably a 10x increase per tier would be warranted. The worst case is 10,000 tier-1's to max out, but realistically, you would expect a majority of 2/5 and 3/5, in a Zipfian distribution. Polynomial math isn't really something I can easily map in my mind, but it would likely be in the ballpark of 100 random rolls to max it.
As a primarily solo player without any competitive aspirations, I'm having a lot of fun with the game, and the only thing I don't like is the dark citadel forcing me to do the co-op thing.
I am having fun as well, playing Sorcerer, difficulty feels more linear than I played in season 4, I felt a bit confused what to do, so I just did helltides under better geared players carry.
@@bronzejourney5784 It's a garbage idea that doesn't belong in a diablo, or any other ARPG. There should never be rewards that can ONLY be rewarded/earned in a Co-op only dungeon. Easier to get? Ok, maybe. But not exclusive.
The Dark Citadel is trash with trash rewards. My buddy and I two manned it on T4, we’re excited to see what we would get, whole bunch of coins for cosmetics. It’s a waste of time, go farm hordes, the pit, and Tormented bosses like before
This game design meta of the new thing being overpowered, then nerfed in the next release to make space for the next overpowered thing needs to stop. It is toxic to the longevity of games. And I don't mean overpowered due to bugs, grossly overpowered by design. Months before release Rod Ferguson as asked if Spiritborn will be overpowered on release and he said "Oh yeah, it will be overpowered" with a grin on his face.
Let's be honest. Diablo 4 lives by it's art and moment to moment gameplay. Everything else still sucks itemization builds skill trees endgame (with entire endgame branch being locked out for solo players as well) crafting balance (pfff... what balance?) Overall... Freakin Minecraft Dungeons has more complexity than this game.
just say youre poor lol not every game wants/needs to require your entire existence to revolve around it in order to play it. i love d4 exactly for that, every 3 months playing for 2-6 weeks and then going back to other games. so please stay at your virgin neckbeard path of exile and let us enjoy a fun, good, casual arpg =)
I disagree completely with builds and skill tree being bad. With adding in the aspects, uniques, and paragon to the "Build puzzle" it is a more complex Diablo game then ever before.
Of the 30+ people I know who play D4, all but two of them stopped playing d4 and have shifted back to d3. Every person I talk to about the current state of d4 agrees that it feels like Blizzard has overly incentivized players to purchase the new expansion. I currently play d4 as a necromancer. I have gotten my build to do most torment 4 content. I get kicked from groups all of the time without even engaging in combat. The spiritborn has ruined the game for those of us who don't play it. Btw, I did buy the expasion, but refuse to play the spiritborn.
To fix the issue they can indicate on the items you pick up that it contains an aspect upgrade for a currently equipped aspect. Then when its salvaged they can indicate in your inventory on the equipped item that an upgrade is available. This will bring back the chase you were talking about
But... There already is an icon in your inventory that tells you its a codex upgrade. They added it... when codex released. Lmao. Its in the top right corner of the item if its an upgrade.
Dude there is arleady an icon telling you there is un upgrade, a gray icon with 2 swords and when you look at the bottom you can read "Improves the current aspect"
Sorry, but the bad reviews are not just hate. If the game was good for most players then there would be more positive reviews. On Steam the game has to compete against other games and what they provide for the asking price. In my opinion (as a Season 4/5 enjoyer) VoH is very mid. The new features are all very boring and there is still too much RNG and too little QoL in the game. Examples are as follows: Missing QoL: Bricking items still possible, "Sell all" button still missing, Map Progress not realm wide, Filling Codex of Power now insanely hard, No auction house Too much RNG: Tempering (nothing really changed), Masterworking, Rune rerolling and no option to target farm, Enchanting New features: Mercenaries feel like they don't do anything, Dark Citadel already boring when playing through the 2nd wing, Kurast Undercity is okay at best (very repetitive) By seeing so many people celebrating the expansion for these things I know now that it is time to move on for me. Blizzard will see this feedback and be like: "Ah..., good enough for these players"
... toxic minority? Where did I hear this one? Oh... from several failed shows on TV that ended up being a big FLOP. If a youtuber is pulling that card, means the game is going REALLY, but REALLY bad. Also, let me understand, around 30 minutes of the video is about: - game is bugged - people are being forced to play spiritborn because of ... great class design? (not because LFG in WoW had the same issues as in D4) - Spiritborn is broken doing bazillion damage (must be really fun if you like to play anyother class) - Story is subpar And the game is... great? Standards must be pretty low here.
But, I was reading something about NOT bringing the other classes up to date, but some moron from blizzard wanted to nerf the spiritwalker - That is the reason I dont belive all you said Rhykker. I loved D3, and was hyped on D4, and it fked up the first season.... I lost everything for blizzard for a moment there... now, the campain on VoH is stupid, the ending was like "is that it" the feel of wasted money rushed over me, like with thousands of other people. Dont deny that.
Vessel of Hatred didn't even have last boss fight for crying out loud... I would pay max 15 euros for this new character expansion, just like Necromancer in D3. Otherwise not recommended.
I like that there's more things to do such as hordes, Undercity, and pit. However, it does feel like a major grind (for those of us that don't play for hours on end) to get better gear, lvl paragon, and getting gold now. I wish they would have brought down the gold costs on upgrading gear.
Within 5mins Rhykker calls people the "vocal minority" because they don't like the game. "people who don't hate Diablo 3, we're ALL having a blast with VoH". I put in over 3000hrs into D3 and I'm refusing to purchase VoH and i've stopped playing D4 completely. So that blanket statement is false. Guesstimating stats and numbers when my Battlenet friends list (90% added from Diablo 3) tells me there was 65 playing D4 on release and only 4 are playing now. GG.
I'm definitely having a good time with the Diablo 4 x pack. I've also been playing every season regardless excepting the trap season which I did not finish. My only real beef is the change with the aspect system where you have to salvage ancestral legendaries. They are a little too rare even on torment difficulties to make that practical. It feels bad to salvage a perfect roll, and not get any upgrade from it unless it's an ancestral. I hope they roll that change back because it's really not fun.
Blizz effectively gated those who didn't buy the $40 expansion right out of their future player base. They enticed people to buy it by making the new character overpowered and adding some pay to play mechanics (runes and mercs). Anyone one who didn't buy it has zero chance of playing competitively. This is fine for an MMO, where an MMO expansion effectively releases a whole new game every year. D4 did not. It just left me disgusted. My brother bought the expansion and has already reverted back to playing Satisfactory and Rocket League. He called D4's expansion "meh". It also sucked for him because very few of his friends bought the expansion, so "raiding" with them wasn't an option. Now we are both just looking forward to POE2's release. There I feel like I get my money's worth. I can see what I am paying for (if I even choose to) and genuinely benefit if I choose to spend significant dollars on it. The best part? None of it is Pay to Win. I am happy that many are finding D4's expansion fun. I just think Blizz's approach was poor at best given the state of their game at expansion time.
You can see what you're buying in PoE? Have they finally introduced an MTX preview? That's something i kinda miss in PoE as it's hard to tell how certain items look on certain characters (they look slightly different for each) or in combination with other items.
@@TheAzureGhost I was speaking mostly about inventory space, specialty bags, and hideout skins. I can't speak to cosmetics, as those have never really interested me.
A class doing a million times more damage than others in a game with shared spaces absolutely affects other people's gameplay and fun. (I play Spiritborn, it's dumb)

100%. This season is boring af lmmfao. Literally doing the same thing as every other season. Nothing new. Mythics aren’t worth grinding for as 90% of them are useless. 4GA. items are basically non existent. The citadel is atrociously boring for cosmetic rewards that are garbage. RealmWalker is boring af. Runewords are boring af. Literally nothing this dude has said is factual. Not even worth watching this beta shill anymore as all he does is just shill like a blizzard employee. Hopefully people wake up and stop supporting weak beta males. Dudes a waste of life.
I'm confused, you said there should be a way to know if you're getting a codex upgrade.... There is, there's the little icon on the top right of the item when you're talking to the blacksmith.
I like the idea of having "16/16" aspect ranks with a separate "0/5 Ancestral" sub-rank. That way it helps you feel like you did complete something while also clearly stating that you're only going to get those extra ranks from Ancestral items.
it is unacceptable that after 5 seasons, the best they can do is a class so unbalanced that 90% percent of population have to play it, and don't fool yourself ... "because its new". The game looks bad, its an army of clones running all over place.
Played Diablo all my life and this season is the first one I completed and even helped my son complete his. It’s also the first time I thought to myself “I don’t need D3 anymore”. Only good things
I never came back because I’ve seen From the start that they don’t care about players experience they just work on making more money. Money is the goal. Path of exile has different strategy , they concentrate on more player experience which will bring them money at the end. Two different strategies and blizzard is the loser. Ruined such a great game.
PoE really doesn't. It has a massive barrier to entry. When someone sends you "Just watch this 50 hour youtube playlist, then you can start PoE!" All the systems are complex, you cant respec easily and get told. "JuSt MaKe A nEw ChArAcTeR" You will ruin your build if you didn't spend 10 hours playing path of building first or follow a guide. Then you cant fix it without just restarting. I hope they fix it in PoE 2 but PoE is extreemly unfriendly for new players. Its why they have the numbers and like 85% of players that tried the game never made it to act 2. I like PoE. Any friend who isn't a mainly ARPG player has no interest in it once they see the skill tree. All of them have heard how notoriously complex the game is and don't want to learn it. You even get the jokes in the PoE community "I hit 1000 hours, I can finally try making my own build!"
@Slaughter0tter Can just simply follow a guide and beat PoE easily. Plus you'll probably have a much more enjoyable time actually learning and figuring out interesting game mechanics compared to the simple hand held slop that is D4. Even D3 had more build variety. 1
The reality for me is: I played hundreds of hours with an IRL friend in D4 over several seasons Just got back from a day with him, we never brought up D4 at all EDIT: I don't hate D4, I am just fed up with playing twice for D4
I quit when season 6 started. Many of us work 40+ hours a week and have families to support. We don't have a lot of playtime. Every time I start to found great affixes on my equipment for my builds, the next season comes and I have to start over. I'm taking a break from Diablo.
I'm having a blast with VoH, can't get enough of it. One minor issue I have: Spiritborn is a Monk, just call it a Monk. There's no need to create new names for old classes. When they release the "Paladin" next expansion, just make it a knight with a sword & board and call it a Paladin
I hate this because I want a monk class, but it’s pretty obvious this is the monk for D4, and it’s not fun. The OP builds are based off bugs and boring anyway. The abilities and such aren’t great. Druid, my OP main, suck ass now too. Can’t wait for POE 2.
spoken like a real fan boy, this really seems like a really bad paid advertisement from a casual type player. u don't even know the real problem with the sb or know why its doing massive damage. play the game without the dlc and come back and tell me the game is good rhykker.......... taking away my ability to craft the mythic i need is absurd. i came back to the game the start of last season, put in 900 hours last season on two builds. dint buy the dlc because im still having fun with the other builds and thought even without buying the dlc i would get to enjoy some of the new content.............nope cant even step foot on the land or see, cant craft mythics, and now there are x20 times the number of bugs and other players running around with game breaking bugs killing my game play experience with lag or bad mechanics. it seems u are trying to tell other people how to feel and saying the game must be good cause people are playing it, they play it because they paid for it buddy rofl, the only players who are enjoying this are noobs and casuals. this dlc feels as greedy as greedy can get and really can tell there trying there hardest to sell it by the fear of missing out as u can get, its pathetic imo and by hearing u talk about all the problems and then coping with how many players are playing just making u look bad, never would i hit your sub button.
Spiritborn has the least amount of Variation this season in builds. It has the second fewest endgame builds, tied for the fewest number unique skills used, is one of only two classes to have a skill with 100% presence. If you look at Endgame Builds on Max Roll Class | Builds | Skills | 100% Skill Usage Count | >80% Skill Usage Count | >50% Skill Usage Count Necro | 11 | 16 | 0 | 2 | 4 Barbarian | 11 | 20 | 0 | 1 | 4 Sorcerer | 12 | 19 | 1 | 3 | 1 Rogue | 12 | 22 | 0 | 2 | 3 Druid | 9 | 22 | 0 | 0 | 4 Spiritborn | 10 | 16 | 1 | 2 | 3 If not OP folks probably wouldn't like it.
(I will never read a reply) LOL. Rhykker has that 'thousand yard shill stare' going on. "I hope this propaganda is good enough to honor the stipulation for my Blizzard paycheck". Like dude, we know they are paying you to say this. I guess you tried your best to make it look believable. The game is fun for a few days but lets be honest, even this new D3 season will get more hours out of me. He didn't even bother with timestamps for this, lol. They just agreed the video had to probably be 30 minutes in length and he's like alright.
These games are 1000000x better when you make your own builds and experiment on your own. The ONLY people who ever complain about Diablo 4 being terrible are streamers and people who play 23 hours a day and finish the content in 2 and half days. The rest of us are having a blast with the game
Agreed. I like guides to show me if there is niche interactions but I want to etch “clickbait” onto something blunt and hit people with it. I love the class though. Poison feels like Ulianna’s monk
Rhykker... It's not that I hate the expansion, it's that I hate the balance of the game. I think the rake ability is way cooler, yet it's garbage compared to the broken ass builds of Spiritborn.
My problem with it is the ridiculous price for a single act and a new class, its almost the price of the full game. Will probably buy it on a promotion but not a single day before Btw the massive theorycrafting on every class/build etc is one of the things that made Diablo games less fun for me. "WHAT you are not using the best spec according to the most squeezed out numbers calculated by chinese kids in a basement? Unplayable" Then you see everyone being a clone of each other(because having a personality is old fashioned apparently), theres no personal testing, choosing a build because its fun not because of "TAH NUMBERS". The exagerated guides for every single thing we have today made ARPGS for me boring, and thats why i jump in from time to time then forget about it for months or a new season.
I am mid-on this season. There are also people who are fanboys who cannot look at the game in any other way but it's great. Reminder of anyone you know? But I cannot completely blame you since this game's performance affects your livelihood.
Spiritborn feels like well-designed because it’s OP. Class design wouldn’t make any difference if SB was as powerless as Druid. We’ll see if it’s still fun or not when they nerf the SB in the future.
@ the point was that the game released 1 year ago and it still requires massive updating to make it playable. Asking players to buy an “expansion” (that’s basically DLC), at the price of a full game, is ridiculous. Blizzard has become a greedy, hallow-shell of its former self. It is no longer the trusted brand it once was. It’s both sad and incredibly gross.
3:02 Yeah, okay... people paid $50 or more just so they could hate on it. Makes sense. 3:18 But that's only the fault of haters, nothing at all due to what Blizzard consistently do, and more specifically what they consistently do wrong. 3:55 I'm not, and many others are not. You're playing the Spiritborn; a broken class that is the most egregious case of overpwered Diablo 4 has had. Not saying your opinion doesn't matter, but go play one of the other classes, and start off with absolutely nothing. Don't trickle down your Mythics gear to that character, then come back to the rest of us that aren't playing SB and speak about how great the game feels. 12:08 "Honestly, probably longer if they wanna keep sales up for the SB"... and you're okay with that, and you act like people don't like this expansion because we're haters? You're disgusting if you really believe that. Why should it be okay and normalized for a company to intentionally make and then keep a class THIS far more overpowered than any other... just to up sales. Explain exactly why you think that's okay to do. No... not explain that "this is just something that happens. Blah, blah, blah." Explain to me why the hell YOU are actually okay with this type of manipulation from a company on the consumer. 16:41 No, you don't "have that forever". For most players, you have that until the end of the season; a season that only lasts 3 months. So if it takes people 2 months or more to get that Codex maxed, they only have 1 month or less to play with that. Then toss in the fact that there are some that are not playing SB and they see FAR less Ancestral items... yeah. They're not maxing out their codex. Sorry, bud. You're just glazing over the issue, and you're dead wrong with your conclusion. 19:48 This is as idiotic of a take as Blizzard claiming that players shouldn't see Torment 4 as the end game and should be happy with making it to T2 or T3. Not to be rude but... stfu with this bs. You don't just toss a carrot on the end of a stick for players to chase and then try to explain that they should feel fine with not obtaining it. And no... even if you hide that carrot behind the word "Bonus" it isn't going to feel any less required. It's an ONLINE game, there will always be a level of competition. These are not just "Steam Achievements" to get on your single player game that no one (not even you) care about. These are legitimate POWER LEVELS that many people are going to feel are required because they are going to compare themselves to other players and there is absolutely nothing wrong with comparing like that. In fact, it's practically obligatory. Your opinion on this matter is just plain stupid, and you need to seriously stfu about that kind of thinking. 23:10 ... and dispite the Druid bugs, and pathing bugs, and the completely busted builds that were stripped from the 5 other classes, and.. and... and... and why are you desperately trying to paint a pretty picture for a game you clearly have very little insight on? 23:23 "The release" SUPER KEY WORDS THERE, BUDDY. You again gloss over this as if it is currently the most played game, as of right now it's ranked 51, which is 13 ranks behind the shit show that is Overwatch 2, which sits at 38. 24:03 And now by today, right this moment, it's 30k. So they lost 10k within 48hrs on a weekend. Sounds great! 26:05 Your math is super great and all for figuring out the sales... but wtf does that have to do with people being happy? Even people playing the game right this moment, do you really believe they have to all be happy to do so? I'm not very satisfied at all, but there is nothing else going on in the world of gaming that has my interest, and I like hanging out with two of my friends (both of which are not happy either with VoH) and so that's what we do for now. In other words, you're math is cute, but ultimately irrelevant at figuring out if people are happy about the state of the game and this expansion. Nice attempt at a math word salad though. 11/10 28:51 Just pause the vid and click that time stamp. That's me listening to your bullshit throughout 90% of this video wondering just how much you get paid to say this crap. Anyways... I couldn't watch the last parts of this crap. Idk if you're trying to be a contrarian, or a shill... etc. But if it is your actual opinion, then I simply ask you this: Why the fuck can't anyone hate on a lot of things in the game right now without being labeled a "hater" or having baseless reasons beyond "Blizzard Bad"? Maybe.... JUST MAYBE... we see something wrong that you can't (or don't want to) wrap your head around. Oh, and btw... to title your video "The Truth About Diablo 4 Season 6" is also fucking gross. Your truth, maybe... honestly debatable if you're just shilling, right? But to accuse other UA-camrs of click baiting while you make a title that claims to be the all knowing and irrefutable TRUTH is borderline insane. I too live in Montreal if you ever want to debate any of this. You'd lose pretty badly though if these are examples of your best arguments.
You're in the wrong place if you're looking for realistic commentary on anything Diablo related. I'm pretty sure Rhykker bans people that don't drink the koolaid.
In his review, he actually endorsed the campaign of VoH, which turned out to be a huge disappointment and was universally hated by all other content creators. Even the shill reviewers warned that the campaign is bad.
@@pseudomonarchiadaemonum4566 The thing is, I don't think Rhykker is actually a shill, as in, he's totally genuine in his opinions, but for some reason, he just isn't capable of accurately judging anything Diablo related.
Diablo 1 came out when I was a sophomore in college and I loved it. Every sequel since has had a rocky start before skyrocketing to hit my all-time favorites list and Diablo 4 is no exception. When D4 launched, it was exactly like Diablo 3's launch for me - bad. In fact, I played D4 until I hit level 20 and took nearly an entire year off before coming back to it. Last season was outstanding. This season (and Vessel of Hatred) is even better. Is the power-balancing off? Sure, but that's to be expected when there's a new class. For the haters, have some patience as Blizzard will even everything out by next season. For the rest of us, this game is a BLAST!
But for how long? :( is it going to still be fun in 50 hours? Or 100? Or 10000? That's the difference between D2 and D4: one is still fun after 20 years, one is fun for a couple of days every three months
I stopped when they went nerf happy and nerfed Barb. They preached "balance" and that "balance is a journey", yet instead of buffing the other classes, they nerfed all the metas to the point the classes becomes dead. They should have never touched Barbs, Sorcs, and Rogues.
Sure, people who genuinely like and want to say D4 is good, will say so. But just wait till PoE2, the people that like and play D4 will be much smaller and the general support, patience, and community playing D4 will be much much smaller
Dismissing criticism as just “hate” when the expansion has serious issues is ridiculous. And then using your echo chamber that it is the best thing ever. Broaden your perspective. This campaign is the worst thing ever
"best the game has ever been" Bro has NOT talked to the barbarian players. bros have like 2 or 3 functioning builds, the rest hit like wet paper. I was having fun with my HOTA big bonk build before VoH came out, but the new balancing made it hell.
not only that, the only strong Barb build, Mighty Throw, is bugged and has an unintended snapshot mechanic that allows you to snapshot aspects, runewords, and almost any other buff, and then maintain all those buffs forever as long as you keep a minimum of 1 mighty throw on the ground pulsing damage at all times. it's a really convoluted and un-fun way to play that build, but NOT doing it means doing 10x less damage. I confirmed this with BeatDropper himself, one of the top Mighty Throw Barbs pushing high Pits this season. Dalkora also made a video on his UA-cam channel about this snapshot, and right in the UA-cam thumbnail for that video it shows "10x damage" and talks about snapshotting. If this mechanic didn't exist, or was fixed, Barbs would be -10 pit tiers from their current status, which would make us one of the weakest classes in the entire game.
Tell me about it. I had this Steel Grasp and Iron Maelstrom build idea with 2600% Ultimate damage and the highest number I could hit was 26k. I couldn’t even hit near 100k or at least a million.
While it's true that me and my wife enjoyed playing the expansion, it was a bit frustrating that a good part of the new endgame couldn't be played in local co-op (Dark Citadel) or that you had to do it twice to get the achievements (Kurast Undercity). In a way, for those of us who only play Diablo 4 local co-op because we play with our significan others, we're being charged for content we can't play. Hopefully, the developers will find creative solutions to give us better access to those of us who play this way, for example, letting the two players contribute their offerings in Kurast Undercity or joining online players for Dark Citadel.
I really liked your comment about the aspect chase being super weird right now, from a player experience I disliked it since it was implemented, the change was great, as we spend less time looking at items and more time playing, but the sentiment is terrible, no idea whatsoever when I get an upgrade I want, missing the dopamine rush ect. I hope they take this into consideration for a future update.
I liked season 5 much better. I also am disappointed that my gear I collected in season 5 is now junk... Blizzard has an amazing way of disappointing their playerbase. I am playing the spirit born, and its just "ok".. i don't find it exceptionally fun, but I'm trying to like it.
Or you could just stop crying and make a spiritborn? Its spiritborn launch dude its supposed to be king right now its called an introduction. Either go away until its balanced next season and let everyone else enjoy it or quit crying and make one.
@@XRaidenXxX They are so crazy strong they are off the charts, its practically cheating playing one compared to the old classes. You can add a new class have them be equal or slightly stronger then the second best and people would've enjoyed it. This is just poor balancing and care from Blizzard by not fixing known bugs etc. They added Torment levels this Season to finally make the game more difficult, but at the same time they added Spiritborns which stomps the hardest content like its nothing, it seems very contradictory to their own intentions.
Only played this season a week, the new events are lame, new class is over tuned to sell it, and all the old classes feel neglected. Not to mention how long it takes to level glyphs now
I am a casual gamer who spent almost 1.3k hrs in D4 already. I must say its not a bad game but the main problem is the time gate. Every season, you need to spend at least 20 to 30hrs of unproductive time farm for the same things over and over again. I.e, level the class fr 1 to 100 (now 60), farming for the same codex of power again! Farming for gold again when you have like billions! Farming for the some of the legendary gears for ur class! Farming for the same tempering manuals from magic to legendary again! Farming for the Gems again from scratch even though you already had tons of it before! Farming for the masterwork mats (ocductcile) again for the same weapons! Farming for the same paragon glyphs and levelling up like before! Dont forget mythic drop rates are herendous and you will spend hours grinding just for the boss materials just to have a small chance for it to drop. You better pray to RNG god that the mythic you are chasing drops early in the season because after season ends, its pretty much thrash as it doesnt carry over! Now, things get worst because gamers may think the game now takes up less time since character level cap has reduced to 60 instead of 100. Well you been manipulated by Blizzard! Guess what? After you reach level 60, you will need to continue levelling up to earn paragon points and the cap is 300! To make things worst, the glyphs level now increase from 21 to 100. And the higher you level up the glyphs the more likely your levelling may fail due to RNG! Yes, there is now another level of RNG in glyphs where its not guaranteed success especially when you reach higher level after reaching legendary rarity. I think the game is good in terms of combat and graphics but the ethics of the developers are disgusting! They dont respect your time. They made you work for hundreds of hours for nothing because your progress dont carry over to next season. Dont come to me and say this is how arpg has been like. We been fooled and brainwashed because every hour we spent in the game gets translated into their remuneration bonus as avg hours spent per players is one of their main KPIs. Thats y they made you start from scratch in every seasons because they knew by adding just a few new aspects or tempering manuals or mythics uniques will enlarge the pools futher making getting anyone of the aspect to max level ultimately require more time, not to mention mythics alone. Unless MS would revamp the way blizzard staff are being appraised, things would not change. This game would have attract more players if they have progression carry over from season to season because i have seen many players left the game due to burnout and its not fun to do the same chores every season just to get to the state to be able to start the actual endgame. Look, POE2 is just around the corner, I would definitely give it a try since its F2P. I read they have like 12 classes in the game. Thats already a huge W in comparison with D4 just 6. Gaming industry has become so much more competive now that I find myself enjoying playing F2P games more than A games like D4. Of cos I do spend abit in battlepass and occasionally cosmetics but the fact that F2P games has rivalled or even surpassed 3A paid games is insane.
It's not really surprising that people who already liked the game as it was also like the expansion. The other people all quit and got filtered out already. The gameplay has improved since launch but the game was very undercooked at launch. The expansion story was terrible and not much innovation has been added. Still so much poor UI design and missing key features.
Respectfully, your audience and perspective is biased af. Most people here already love D4 for whatever reason so not the best sample size. Can people review bomb? Sure but I'd wager that people even using their time to post a review have at the minimum played it. My review's don't usually have scores so Pro- some production value, always great voice actors, new class, Con- expensive so little story, the story seemed written by an inexperienced team, price tag too high for what we got, barely any cool cinematics, the milking of Mephisto.
Very much agree on the Codex stuff. Showing the codex rank out of max in advanced tooltips would be very helpful. It'd be really nice as well if ancestral gear's affixes were offset up by their "bonus" rank amount. i.e. if normal rolls 1-10 ranks and ancestral rolls up to 12 ranks, it should roll ranks 3-12 instead of 1-12. Or even more, just to bias it a bit toward ancestrals being better.
Lol. Rhykker, you are a shill. "Everybody who plays Diablo 4 actively is having a blast.". Losing boss mats to the beast sucks, grinding MW mats is terrible even with 4 updates to fix it. The huge damage being done is with bugs. (Not a great start). Especially when I've played for 200 hours and they nerf it into dust.
Here's the truth, take the best spiritborn attack and reduce it by 99%. Now take that 1% and reduce it by another 99%. Your spiritborn is now a rogue or druid or barb...
@@jeffxie6334 I think Blizzard's problem now is how to nerf spiritborn by 99%. They would still be 100 times stronger then the others but the community would go balistic. So they'd need to make all other classes 100 times stronger to get the same effect and make everyone happy. But then even a 5 years old could kill Ubers. They really screwed themselves with this.
The designer of Spiritborn and musicians should be awarded, the designers of the “new” monsters, runes, druid, barbarian and screenwriters must be fired.
Rhykker, I have enjoyed VoH and played every season since D4 came out. My only primary criticism of VoH is how quickly the game becomes gear-specific for viable builds. You are not seeing high-teer meta builds anymore with just aspects and skills. The criticality of the gear vrs build style and skill selection is starting to make it feel like D3, and if that is the case, just bring back set items. Second, is Blizzard changing the fundamental game mechanics to fix server performance issues. They have done it this season and last season. I was proud of my Evade build. I had figured it out on my own, and it was FUN. If Blizzard needs to fix server performance issues, change the graphics; don't change the game's base mechanics. Finally, they are way too fancy with the spirit-born graphics. I have endgamed every other class and never had a problem with losing my guy in the ability graphics. The spirtborn graphics LOOK GREAT but are to large on the screen and can not be seen through; this really creates problems playing with multiple people., your guys get drowned out in the oversized graphics. Serious try and find your guy with 2 jaguars and 2 eagles dropping on the screen. D4 has evolved and become a much better game since season one and only gets better each season. Time-tested, tried, and true Diablo fan here.
I love how everyone complains about the numbers that you can just... turn of. You can pick what ones to turn off too. You can show only crits, or only normals, only overpowers. Or just turn them all off. Of all the complaints, this is the dumbest of all of them when its just something you can toggle off/on whenever you want in the in game options.
SB is broken and fun to play with. But imo, VOH storyline is not only short, but really badly done. Not worth $40, at most $20 - 25 One new region with mostly no side mission tied to the base storyline. It's called an expansion, but hardly anything is related to the storyline cept the main story missions and a new class. It's just bland and is a repeat of the base game's side quest.
Both agree and disagree with you - yes D4 haters will hate no matter what and yes that's frustrating. But even if we consider the good things this expansion brought (endgame content, new class, new mechanics, difficulty/progression changes) there is so much that's just half cooked, bugged or simply bad UX and people are criticizing for good reason. That codex thing for example makes me furious playing the game - I can't believe people are defending blizzard for that "design choice". A company like blizzard needs to deliver higher quality than that. And we all know the reasons are management decisions, corporate greed, lay-offs, deadlines. That expansion needed more time to run smoothly and be balanced correctly. And for heavens sake some external writers to review/play that campaign and tell them how mediocre it really was before it got released. I think people give it a low rating for a reason and they are not doing enough for qood quality in the game - Blizzard have created a high bar in the past and now its not the players fault to hold them accountable to match it.
It's not about "haters gonna hate" at all...I played every season, I'm paragon 250 right now and I've played a lot since launch of this xpac and the game DOES deserve the hate at this point, it's just awful, so first of all I wanted to say I want D4 to be good, I played it a lot, but my job does not depend on this game, so I can be totally honest and fair where imho Rhykker is not. Here are the reasons D4 is just a BAD GAME, it's simple as that: 1. Every single season and including BETAS had ton of bugged interactions including the lag in the open world. 2. Every single season's "Best top build" is the most bugged one, there are ALWAYS bugged builds that dominate the whole season, awful... 3. Story I kinda liked the first one with the Lilith even tho a lot of people did not, including my friends, I have to be fair and I did have fun doing first story. Now...VoH story?? Stop trying to justify that lazy writing and no real cinematics ( except the one on the start to make you buy the xpac ). Diablo game without Diablo and Mephisto expansion without Mephisto? Dude...just stop please...it's embarrassing how pathetic that story was, I wish I did not follow every dialogue at all, I wish I just did ESC all the way through to not waste my time, that's how bad it was...saving constantly side characters, running up and down like a Bozo, stupid writing that nobody can believe, crying on every corner, just pathetic and all that to just fight A DOG in the end...dude lmao 4. Every single season had bugs, exploits, unintended interactions etc BUT lets talk about VoH season 6 for a sec here...So we have -bugged Undercity for permanent tributes which people spammed ( bad testing ) -bugged Masterwork materials Obducite permanent infinite farm in the Inferal Hordes which again people spammed to the insanity -should we mention botting in D4 so every single item costs 5-10-20 BILLIONS of gold??? -Spiritborn Kepeleke affix to cast twice does not work AT ALL ?! ( I'm not talking to the most recent patch because it's too late, I'm not playing anymore ) -Bugged Sparks loot from the tormented bosses and Lilith AGAIN for the what...5th season in a row? LAZY, LAZY, LAZY -Spiritborn being the strongest class of the season is NO PROBLEM to me, that's expected from Blizzard, they did same with DH's in wow etc but man...Diablo 4 has SKILL BRANCH, not tree...BRANCH and half of it does not work properly dude, especially now on Spiritborn...They have like total of what 10 paragon legendary nodes, and 2 are bugged...you have chance to block but BLOCK IS NOT CAPPED? How bad we talking here man? How do you defend this?? Resource generation and reduction ALL OVER THE PLACE, giga bugged...and why am I saying this? D4 came out now long time ago, not yesterday or 2 months ago, meanwhile Path of Exile has not skill tree, they have SKILL GARDEN dude and they release leagues with ZERO BUGGED BUILDS...with all these interactions between NEW ASCENDENCIES even, all passive skills, keystones, complex gearing, skill gems, they have ZERO BUGS in the league? Nothing else to say on this topic here really. 5. I'm ashamed to even talk about "Seasonal theme" ? One giant sloth walking around for 10 minutes wasting my time and clicking the board in the town for the rewards, thats the theme? 6. Lets talk bosses, so we get the expansion, we pay total of 110 $ cheapest edition for the game that has battlepass, shop for mtx, pay to play, pay for expansion, but for the WHOLE expansion we do not get a SINGLE new boss to farm for mythic uniques, we still farm DURIEL? Dude...people see this, you should just be realistic for once when it comes to Blizzard.
@@AresGod0fWar Thanks for taking your time to read it, it was my honest review of it, I don't want to be a hater, but I'm pissed...I'm pissed because I want the game to be good, but it's just NOT...
@@doomzx8284There hasn’t been a single season that hasn’t been dysfunctional to some degree and plagued with “just wait we will fix it later.” Themes are almost always dull and lack any real effort. This is the only game I have played where I have been disappointed consistently by seasonal content. Unless, S3 was different, idk I skipped it. This is the first Diablo where I am not getting the expansion. Even though I thought Infernal Hordes was a lazy idea I still tried it, and hated it. I found myself falling asleep at the keyboard. Feedback I heard was realmwalkers mid, runes mid, campaign mid. Why the hell would I want to get the expansion then? And Rhykker is calling it a W? It’s one thing to like it, a completely different thing to call people haters for saying negative things. If anyone wants to call me a hater for speaking the truth I will wear it like a badge of honor. I want the game to be good too. I have played every Diablo. Didn’t play OG until D2R came out because when I bought the battlechest as a kid my disc was broken. But I was too excited to play online with my friend in D2 LOD so I never returned it. So I didn’t experience it until a few years ago and glad I did. You didn’t ask that but let you know anyway. Lol
That is completely ok, not being a designer and suggesting that. As a designer, implementing that is a no-no. You don't display 16/21 on the UI if 17+ is a bonus. Any person with basic math knowledge will have a bias towards getting 21/21 and not getting it will make people think it is a bug, which costs money, since it increase the CS workload. It is something SO insanely basic that it makes me believe everyone calling shots is either a suit or a coder who NEVER studied design for 30 minutes - and I'm not exaggerating, because it is THAT basic. They are designing for people with emotions and biases, not to a scientific calculator or a CompSci teacher grading papers. That kind of mistake is what makes me want to leave the game or have zero hope for improvements, because any good design will have to come out of luck OR it might be negated by a massive oversight.
If he really is on Blizzards payroll, then his "only 5%" vocal minority comment was reminsicent of Steve Jobs responding to the iPhone 4's antennaegate situation.
I'm very critical of Diablo because I love it, but I have to admit when I see positive changes. I paid 100 dollars at launch, and played vampire season to level 100. Came back for expansion and Diablo 4 while not perfect and has room for improvement. The game is actually fun and i'm mainly a POE player. I will explain why I am having fun with the game. Trade is actually more prevelant, I can list runes and items and get messaged very quickly for trades. I would like them to open trade up even more for materals like rawhide, etc to create a fully flushed economy. I like the new craft system of mythics which means you can trade your way to mythics if you desire. They added runewords which i've been asking for , Although it's like a baby version of runewords i'm sure overtime they will improve the runewords system right now they are very simple and not epic on the scale of D2 runewords. Spiritborn class very well designed very powerful build but the main thing is the build synergies and smoothness of the skills. Even if they nerf the damage the class itself is still fun, the skills are fun. Since Diablo 4 is not a competitive game I don't care what class is OP but I will be sad when my favorite classes are not optimized properly. My fav. class is the barbarian. Never seen anyone kicked cause of there class and that is because 1 spirit born in the group is enough for anything. Anyone saying people kicking other classes is probably lying, 1 spirit born will wipe everytrhing in the game you don't need 2-3 lol Itemization has improved vastly since i've last played , tempering and masterwork flow for item progression is great. Infernal horde similar to simulacrums in POE. I like this , and I love the aesthetics of diablo , helltides improved vastly, huge mob density and demons popping out of big worms , demon bosses spawning elite, maiden all very fun. I enjoy running through helltide and just wiping out monsters captures the true essence of action rpg. Materials and boss materials easy to farm. Bossing brings back the feeling of D2 , boss speed running for that loot! More chase items have been added so I'm actually excited to collect mythics and try each class, very easy to level up new classes. Downside of the easy leveling and investments per character there will eventually be a point where if you play all day you will become bored over time for sure unlike POE, the scaling of gearing is pretty long, and they don't hold back on the ubers in POE some people never beat the uber , in Diablo 4 you will eventually beat everything as it is more casual and laid back. Overall I am having fun , did not expect D4 expansion to be good and I was expecting to have to do a bad review video, but will be making a positive review of my experience cause it looks like they are putting in effort. I have yet to try citadel undercity thing yet which I plan to as well. What we are seeing with a lot of hate is just social media some people are just unable to escape a bias, or there favorite influencer. If some one they watch all day everyday while playing says something they usually not gonna fight back against and may even act on it. Influencers can influence even if they leading you on lies just how it is, that's why people pay influencers so much money. We see all the time some influencers are even able to sell dirty underwear or bathwater to the viewers. Some people are just wired to be followers no matter.
You should speak on the fact that blizzard keeps legacyin our gear💯💯💯 people that just wanna make a solid build and enjoy it and stop farming we can’t do that when blizzard just keeps taking a hot shit on our biulds.
I started off loving season 6, item changes and new area felt great. The good times lasted all the way up until I hit torment 2, which I have been hard stuck in for over a week now. I expected to hit a wall like this going from torment 3 to 4, but not from torment 2 to 3. I’m making progress in my time to clear pit 50 but it’s never enough to clear the pit within the time frame, locking the difficulty increases behind a time wall is the single most frustrating aspect of the season, it’s incredibly frustrating I’m forced grind in torment 2 where enemies pose zero challenge for me, I just want to go up to torment 3 so I can get better xp gains for faster paragon leveling and increased gear finds because torment 2 Ancestral gear drop rates are terrible, I feel like I’m making minimal progress with the only time I was able to find ancestral gear coming when I was able to sit down on my day off and grind the game for 5 hours, but regrettably I don’t have all day every day to devote to this game and it so incredibly enraging because i can clear tier 50 pit enemies but not within the time limit. It makes this season feel like it was designed for the streamers who have the luxury of being able to sit down and grind this game all day every day

20:40 there is an icon that tell you when you are salvaging if it is an upgrade on your codex. (confused casual player looking at a blaster like ?)
@Rhykker As SuperLifestream said; There is an indication that an aspect is an upgrade. When you go to any vendor, or the blacksmith, there will be a symbol in the top right corner of the item icon in your inventory. This lets you know it's an aspect upgrade.
You've reached levels of shill never thought possible and now are branching out into off site "win an iphone" scams? LOL goddamn son!
vessels were not a good dlc rhykker im telling this being someone who liked d4,the thing is that vessels has only one good thing and that spiritborn, season theme of season 6 is unfun, undercity are not enough to get people play them for long, the region is pretty much same region of other zones but green this time and so on and on,spirit born is really fun and i actually cant wait if they rework other classes like nacro and others so that their abilities work togather but for now its just not good enough
The game become boring after the story line was not centered back to diablo
Good/Bad debate aside, charging 60% of the base game price for 20% the content, on top of overpriced paywalled cosmetics and battlepass is terrible.

That is how these games work though.
Whether its PoE, Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, Diablo 2 etc. The exciting loot is always rare.
@@Spacewalrus2010 I don't think you really understood. In past games, such as Grim Dawn and Diablo 2, you got MUCH less loot. It's not that much fun going through 50 items that you got within the past 5 minutes. There's just too much loot, it's not fun.
no. Uniques are usually labeled unique because it creates new builds possible and they work different from most item crafting
They aren't supposed to be rare drops but drops with limitations.
You're looking at Uber Uniques if you want the "rare drops"
"But, some things aren't broken" -Rhyker
Yeah you will never get anything high level done.
Spirit born is a well designed class as it's skill tree all weaves together. I.e.
Spirit born: basic attack yeah all enemies knocked down GUARANTEED every hit.
DRUID: basic attack has 10% chance to knockdown non elites.......what a joke.
It's clearly detrimental to the game if 95% of the characters online are one class.
Exactly this, like sorc ,LS played like BL build, played like FO build, play like CL build… at least FB build play a bit differently.
In the beggining of the video, Rhykker says something akin to "if you liked season2 and like where the game is going..."
Well, we don't!
The side quests are also pointless. Half of them are just item gathering and don't give you anything of value or connect to the overarching story.
Either he lacks critical thinking skills ORRRRR(/and) he's a shill for the game because it's his source of income

This game runs lile hot garbage on my pc. its to the point that pots and all buffs of that nature need to stay after you get kicked. 90% of my pots/insense are wasted by server problems.
Cool story bro.
It certainly could be better ! Especially when it's a max rolled aspect. The UI is one of the weakest part of D4, IMO.
Now i might be wrong, but wasnt that alreadly implemented last season or am i crazy? Because i instantly knew what that symbol above an legendary item meant, without any explanation.
@@Daniel-rd6st it's been there since Season 4 when we could first upgrade the codex by salvaging
@@etrosknight2254 Thats what i thought! So why are people confused now?
1, 10, 14, 17, 19, 20), but the idea is simple:
Each aspect salvaged adds to an XP bar.
Its literally the entire point of citadel, that its coop. Its perfect.

Welcome to arpg. Now you know how PoE players felt when GGG constantly nerf op build every league.
Let's be honest. Diablo 4 lives by it's art and moment to moment gameplay.
Everything else still sucks
itemization
builds
skill trees

crafting
balance (pfff... what balance?)
Overall... Freakin Minecraft Dungeons has more complexity than this game.

not every game wants/needs to require your entire existence to revolve around it in order to play it. i love d4 exactly for that, every 3 months playing for 2-6 weeks and then going back to other games.
so please stay at your virgin neckbeard path of exile and let us enjoy a fun, good, casual arpg =)
I disagree completely with builds and skill tree being bad. With adding in the aspects, uniques, and paragon to the "Build puzzle" it is a more complex Diablo game then ever before.
i mea n its not very good and 100000% NOT WORTH THE MONEY. cant believe you pay 40 bucks for this content
@@Slaughter0tter no shit sherlock. Read what I wrote again and think about it little more. Hopefully it will click then.
Examples are as follows:
Missing QoL: Bricking items still possible, "Sell all" button still missing, Map Progress not realm wide, Filling Codex of Power now insanely hard, No auction house
Too much RNG: Tempering (nothing really changed), Masterworking, Rune rerolling and no option to target farm, Enchanting
New features: Mercenaries feel like they don't do anything, Dark Citadel already boring when playing through the 2nd wing, Kurast Undercity is okay at best (very repetitive)
By seeing so many people celebrating the expansion for these things I know now that it is time to move on for me.
Also, let me understand, around 30 minutes of the video is about:
- game is bugged
- people are being forced to play spiritborn because of ... great class design? (not because LFG in WoW had the same issues as in D4)
- Spiritborn is broken doing bazillion damage (must be really fun if you like to play anyother class)
- Story is subpar
And the game is... great?
Standards must be pretty low here.
I like the pace, don’t have the time due to kids and life but the changes makes it really fun. Enjoying it.
Otherwise not recommended.
does it have echo of mephisto dog? like echo of lilith in nevesk?
@@darkbendover Unfortunately, no.
I like that there's more things to do such as hordes, Undercity, and pit. However, it does feel like a major grind (for those of us that don't play for hours on end) to get better gear, lvl paragon, and getting gold now. I wish they would have brought down the gold costs on upgrading gear.
Empty vessel of hatred, 25 days till POE2.

So basically blizzard again created something they don't understand
The reality for me is: I played hundreds of hours with an IRL friend in D4 over several seasons
Just got back from a day with him, we never brought up D4 at all
EDIT: I don't hate D4, I am just fed up with playing twice for D4
No bro, it'll be a Cleric. Get it right.

If not OP folks probably wouldn't like it.
I agree! 🙌🙌🙌
Me and my wife agree with you
They play it for 48 hours straight doing everything as fast as possible.. then complain there's nothing left to do.. it's so stupid
@@zachkuykendall1048 That's so fucking annoying, and Devs listen to those people.....
Will probably buy it on a promotion but not a single day before
Btw the massive theorycrafting on every class/build etc is one of the things that made Diablo games less fun for me. "WHAT you are not using the best spec according to the most squeezed out numbers calculated by chinese kids in a basement? Unplayable"
Then you see everyone being a clone of each other(because having a personality is old fashioned apparently), theres no personal testing, choosing a build because its fun not because of "TAH NUMBERS". The exagerated guides for every single thing we have today made ARPGS for me boring, and thats why i jump in from time to time then forget about it for months or a new season.
I am mid-on this season. There are also people who are fanboys who cannot look at the game in any other way but it's great. Reminder of anyone you know? But I cannot completely blame you since this game's performance affects your livelihood.
me too. I can't watch rhykker anymore really he seems fanatic and biased to a bad extent. only find raxxanterax tolerable
Spiritborn feels like well-designed because it’s OP. Class design wouldn’t make any difference if SB was as powerless as Druid. We’ll see if it’s still fun or not when they nerf the SB in the future.
you lost me @millions of x more damage. balance that bad just ruins the season for me.
How are other Spiritborn builds
not ruining my experience when I get kicked from parties because I am running a Sorc :)
All you have to do is solo the whole game to get a perfect ga winterglass and at least 2 mythic then you can find a group
Not good enough run a spiritborn like ngl I would kick any class that isn't a spiritborn out since there dead weight
Is it that, or is it because you join boss rotas then don't link your mats.
Diablo 4 came out June 5th, 2023… they’re forcing people to buy it again for a seasonal update?… awful!
Its an expansion and expansions are most of the time charged for
@ the point was that the game released 1 year ago and it still requires massive updating to make it playable.
28:51 Just pause the vid and click that time stamp.
You'd lose pretty badly though if these are examples of your best arguments.
please get some air
You're in the wrong place if you're looking for realistic commentary on anything Diablo related. I'm pretty sure Rhykker bans people that don't drink the koolaid.
Ya I like d4 but God he is having something good because this is shilling to a extreme
Or 100? Or 10000? That's the difference between D2 and D4: one is still fun after 20 years, one is fun for a couple of days every three months
wtf is there even to do? i quit one month after d4 first released cause it sucked and i never played it since then
I stopped when they went nerf happy and nerfed Barb.
It’s really pathetic that he made this video.
Shocking, Rhykker has the knee pads on for Blizzard.
God forbid someone has a different opinion than you. Grow up.
lol what a weirdo to comment on the internet such a lame used comment
Spiritborn is ruining the experience with it's op build. Any time I join a event. I may as well not even try to hit anything.
This why I turn crossplay off then you don’t have to deal with it
Or you could just stop crying and make a spiritborn? Its spiritborn launch dude its supposed to be king right now its called an introduction. Either go away until its balanced next season and let everyone else enjoy it or quit crying and make one.
@@XRaidenXxX Or you just accept other opinions, not just the ones you agree with.
@@XRaidenXxX Blizzard's lapdogs never fails to bring up most idiotic takes you ever heard.
Only played this season a week, the new events are lame, new class is over tuned to sell it, and all the old classes feel neglected. Not to mention how long it takes to level glyphs now
i absolutely agree on the theorycrafting aspect. it is frustrating to search for bugs instead of searching for usable items.
All i hear at the start is "for this videos sponsor Blizzard" so funny you alrdy know how the video goes befor watching it
I'm still waiting for a reasonable price to even try the base game, and now they want me to pay double for 5 more hours of story? I'm good.
The base game was sold 30$ or bundled with the expansion I think 30$ was pretty fair.
And here's me buying multiple cosmetics for every class.
@@natecoet3291 these people arent happy unless theyre paying 10 dollars for a 100 hour game.
You're gonna be waiting for a while. Games cost $70 now, and if you don't want to pay that then you don't get any games. Simple.
@@natecoet3291 PoE 2 will be free. All future PoE 2 expansions will be free.
Rhykker, it's quite sad seeing how you've turned from a favourite content creator to a Blizzard mouthpiece.
Everyone has a price...
Amen
And they will nerf it into dust
Here's the truth, take the best spiritborn attack and reduce it by 99%. Now take that 1% and reduce it by another 99%. Your spiritborn is now a rogue or druid or barb...
But blizz will minus 99.99% from rogue skill and buff spirit born
@@jeffxie6334 I think Blizzard's problem now is how to nerf spiritborn by 99%. They would still be 100 times stronger then the others but the community would go balistic. So they'd need to make all other classes 100 times stronger to get the same effect and make everyone happy. But then even a 5 years old could kill Ubers. They really screwed themselves with this.
yup
My only issue is having rawhide and iron chunks of al things gate progress...#feelsBad
Hell yeah I'm always iron hunting, that's the game lol
Nothing like a screen filled with numbers to put you in the goth vibe.
Not worth $40, at most $20 - 25
One new region with mostly no side mission tied to the base storyline.
It's called an expansion, but hardly anything is related to the storyline cept the main story missions and a new class. It's just bland and is a repeat of the base game's side quest.
They owe us another class and map for their asking price.
$40 for SB then another $40 for Paladin? 🤢 I'm waiting for PoE2. Blizzard is hated for these kind of reasons and rightfully so.
And yet people still consider D2 LoD as one of the best arpg in history
The GA,s should also be on the box in the corners. Top left =1 Ga. Bottom right with 4 icons 4 ga’s.
Here are the reasons D4 is just a BAD GAME, it's simple as that:
Dude...just stop please...it's embarrassing how pathetic that story was, I wish I did not follow every dialogue at all, I wish I just did ESC all the way through to not waste my time, that's how bad it was...saving constantly side characters, running up and down like a Bozo, stupid writing that nobody can believe, crying on every corner, just pathetic and all that to just fight A DOG in the end...dude lmao
4. Every single season had bugs, exploits, unintended interactions etc BUT lets talk about VoH season 6 for a sec here...So we have
-bugged Undercity for permanent tributes which people spammed ( bad testing )
-bugged Masterwork materials Obducite permanent infinite farm in the Inferal Hordes which again people spammed to the insanity
-should we mention botting in D4 so every single item costs 5-10-20 BILLIONS of gold???
-Spiritborn Kepeleke affix to cast twice does not work AT ALL ?! ( I'm not talking to the most recent patch because it's too late, I'm not playing anymore )
-Bugged Sparks loot from the tormented bosses and Lilith AGAIN for the what...5th season in a row? LAZY, LAZY, LAZY
-Spiritborn being the strongest class of the season is NO PROBLEM to me, that's expected from Blizzard, they did same with DH's in wow etc but man...Diablo 4 has SKILL BRANCH, not tree...BRANCH and half of it does not work properly dude, especially now on Spiritborn...They have like total of what 10 paragon legendary nodes, and 2 are bugged...you have chance to block but BLOCK IS NOT CAPPED?
Preach! I agree with you everything you said. Lmao
Lol
This video is a dumpster fire, especially the codex part. I don't believe Rhykker speaks for the majority of the player base.
Rhyker is on Blizzard pay roll though; so when he says "haters hating" -- he's paid to say that.
If he really is on Blizzards payroll, then his "only 5%" vocal minority comment was reminsicent of Steve Jobs responding to the iPhone 4's antennaegate situation.
Free copies, flies him to Blizzard events. Thats called shilling.
dude, how much blizzard paying you these days? sad to see how much integrity you lost. cant trust you anymore, damn
One legit gripe , can't use mercs or do Dark Citadel in couch co-op on console , everything else been hilarious good time
I'm very critical of Diablo because I love it, but I have to admit when I see positive changes.
Anyone saying people kicking other classes is probably lying, 1 spirit born will wipe everytrhing in the game you don't need 2-3 lol
Itemization has improved vastly since i've last played , tempering and masterwork flow for item progression is great.
Its hard to be 100% truthful and critical about Blizzard when you're in bed with them.
I think most people don't like the fact its so expensive for a "new" playable class and not much else.
It makes this season feel like it was designed for the streamers who have the luxury of being able to sit down and grind this game all day every day
Let's face it, there's no season 6, there's just the expansion.
Rhykker please man stop humiliating yourself.... Diablo 4 "WAS" going in the right direction but they just did a U-Turn... Its okay to admit that....
BORING! and BROKEN
Broken how?
@@zerooskil7161 ask the devs
Still not sure why we can’t have power in OG classes.
