Gordon trying to see who takes the decision at the end while being on Lucas's back is hilarious
Nice catch haha
Hahah
best part
at one of the top grappling tournaments ever hes chillin with back control.
Wow I didn't realize that.
cyborgs false sense of certainty and Gordon casually watching just makes this video gold lol
Being passive for 15+ minutes with two ehh submissions should never beat pushing the pace the entire match and working for passes and back takes. Good decision on this one
that’s why ADCC > IBJJF, this is overall grappling not just butt scooting Mexican ground karate in their jackets
Yeah look at Brendan Schaub vs Cyborg. This passive style is a bad look for the sport
true
@@ShqipeKnocksMMAs fr
I love how he's screaming and pounding his chest after doing nothing to win
He’s done a lot
Just normal to try and influence judges decision. Coaches tell you to celebrate if it is close.
what nicky has done to win? he didn't even remotely attempt to pass cyborg's guard. he was so afraid of his guard that he tried to halfguard pass him at his toes. no pressure, no real attempt, just hoping to run around cyborg quick enough so he can pass him without engaging with him at all. to be fair it's not just against cyborg, nicky either gets the bodylock or he refuses to do jiu-jitsu
Cyborg is so humble, until he loses. Then he’ll piss and moan. Maybe even slap you up a bit if you meet again.
Still he should have won
I don't know if he is humble when he wins, he is always hyped up, screaming and chest beating when he wins
He wasnt very humble before the decision
he yells and cries and beats his chest virtually every time he wins. Where is the humility?
He was screaming and beating his chest after like he won the match......after not scoring a single point.
Nicky Rod: The future is now old man
jajajajaja
Makes me laugh 😆 they always say that Cyborg is a great ambassador? But he doesn’t look like one ☝️ when it doesn’t go his way 🤷🏿♂️.
He's just an overrated guy
@@DetailingJourney He was ADCC Openclass Champion, 100% not overrated. But his attitude is bs. His instagram posts are all about respect, yet he only is respectful when he wins.
@@DetailingJourney casual
It's not any better when he wins, he acted ridiculous after beating Kaynan.
This aged better than i would ever think!
Far out they got me tired just watching on the my bed. Respect must be fit as
Lol how he gonna prematurely celebrate like that after just maintaining guard.
an arm bar to you is "just maintaining guard" lol
@@supermatheuz even so I would not get up pounding my chest when I got my back took 3 or more times. Fair enough?
Maybe he thought itd sway the judges
Did you see his DQ against Gordon Ryan?
Judges normally favor who was closest to submission. That's why it comes off as a surprise.
Next match to post is Garry Tonon vs Renato Canuto
You can watch the whole match with commentary from Tonon and Gordon on the WNO podcast
When are they gonna post Lachlan vs Gordon been watin for that one
I agree with the decision completely, Nicky Rod was pushing the action much more, all cyborg did was fail to take him down and put on an armbar that was easily escaped
Let's be honest, Nicky Rod had several pass attempts (the purpose of being on top) and Cyborg only had a few sweep/sub attempts (the purpose of being on bottom). That's why Nicky got the nod.
Yeah in other words his flashy movements got him the win, not his skill. Cyborg was clearly more skilled in this match, if only by a point or two
Another edge of your seat, nail biter match! Cant get enough of this action
nicky rod pushes the pace the entire match while cybrog stays on the ground like a fidget spinner and tries saying he won???
Exactly lol
If you leave it up to the judges you gotta just accept the L
Nathan McMullen 😂 ya. thanks champ.
It's reasonable to expect the judges to get things right more often than not. In a submission-grappling tournament, judges should be expected to favor fighters who are actively trying to submit their opponents.
Daniel Holley Hi, thats your opinion brother. I dont disagree that attacking submissions is exciting, but you have to think about how it affects the rules. In matches where a submission attempt is a point all you see are shitty leg lock attempts.
Grew up boxing and kick boxing, regret not grappling. Really appreciate the grappling arts.
you probably still can! i dont know how old you are, maybe too old for competition if you frame it like that, but BJJ as a hobby should be possible. there are many guys out there over 50 or 60 doing bjj. for example Ed O Neill aka Al bundy.
two of my favorites!
Like that last second where you see John Danaher giving a little clap for Gordon Ryan.
commentator: "Cyborg is such a sweet guy.."
Yeh? he slapped Gordon which got him DQed, and look at his face when he lost HAHAHAHAHA
Do you know him? Have you meant him?
@@danrod3790 you can learn a lot about man watching him fight..and he preaty much showed a lott against gordon
@@zvonimircerdic6783
Yeah he showed me he was ready to take it to the street. That's what you and Gordon don't understand. Grappling tournaments are for fun, but when you start disrespecting people it becomes something else. Cyborg is a nice guy. Ralph Gracie would've beat the daylights out of him. I would've taken care of him on the spot.
Your so stupid
@@zvonimircerdic6783
What are you a 12 year old nut job?
Great match. Gordon taking a break to check out the decision was hilarious hahah
teaching him some hespect
Amazing effort by both fighters.
Spent time witu Cyborg he's a great personality 🍻
Thank you so much
Cyborg is an old man. If nick keeps going like he is now, he will be top 5 in the world for many years with Gordon Ryan and that Australian guy
38/39/40 years old IS being old ? 🙄 So how call you people who are 60/70/80 years ?
@@mecontadmanboy7959 he’s old for jitsu
I think points should be the first 5 minutes and then no points the last 5 so people really go for subs especially if there down on points.
Exactly Nick could barely pass his guard, and couldn't retain his back for ten seconds
Thats a great idea
You my friend are a scholar and a gentleman. You definitely own a dog house
7:50 when u and ur partner are rolling and suddenly the white belts get in
Bucceca, G. Ryan, and Cyborg all competing at the same time. what a tourny!!
7:20 disgusting kick from cyborg
Thank you flosports
This says A LOT about Renzo’s and Jiu Jitsu in America 💪🏼🇺🇸
Shwagatha says nothing about Renzo. Says a lot about Danaher, Gordon, Garry, and DeBlass.
@@aplus1080 you piece of shit...and who taught Danaher, who again???
lol Renzo taught danaher
that was pure wrestling Lmao
@@aplus1080 dean tho
Muito bom 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 cara cascudo indo lutar deitado e achando ainda q vai ganhar... Nick atacou muito mais n tinha nada que fazer todo esse drama com a derrota.. só enfeiou mais ainda
16:16 lol at the disgust and protest by cyborg
release nicky rod vs Aly and Tonon vs Canuto
Why was Cybord celebrating before declating the winner? What a fake
Awesome display of strength from both. This is jiu jitsu vs wrestling.
They just take all the Beauty away from jiu jitsu
@@remycris2108 booooo
@@remycris2108 the beauty of what? butt scooting?
I think judges over there are more impressed by movements display and show and no so much technique and if you are going to seat most of the match maybe chess is a more suitable sport for you.
abu dhabi COMBAT club. they gotta give the decision to the guy who was on top for the entire match. the sub attempt and back control pretty much cancel each other out imo
one of the slickest back-take to armbar transition I've seen. Cant believe he escaped that!
not at all, pretty basic. I'm way more impressed with nick rodriguez
tea bag Why? He knows very little jiu-Jitsu, didn’t even come close to attempt a submission and couldn’t pass Cyborg’s guard. Yeah, very impressive.
@@Mach1Airspace Cyborg laying down the whole time....yawn. What a boring ass bjj practitioner.
@@joootooobboosheet2486 Yes, yes I know but you yourself on the other hand are a very exciting practitioner, an absolute submission terror! (When you're not being just another useless troll that is ;)
@@Mach1Airspace I didn't claim to be a submission terror. I am nowhere near the level of these guys. It doesn't mean I'm wrong about Cyborg being boring.
At least Nicky worked hard to pass and be aggressive. He tried a lot of stuff, but Cyborg just laid down and didn't do anything but pull guard. It was boring as hell to watch him.
Pretty darn good match
You know exactly where John Danaher is in the background because he's so fucking stoic watching Gordon roll. Great match but Danaher is so cool lol.
06:03 Big Gordd coaching his seed
Respect for a real one. RIP Big Gord!
What happened to negative pints for pulling guard? At the beginning Cyborg pulled guard.
That cyborg guy looks like he’s a couple years away from an old folks home
He's only 40. But he's got a lot of miles (and cycles) through his body
Amazing!!!
Gordon vs hulk ? 👉👈
It already happened, it was amazing.
Lmao, “cyborg is a great ambassador of the sport,” that comment didn’t age well at all
Action starts at 9:00
Nicky Rod was aggressive and turned up the heat as the match went on but I love Cyborgs style better. His half guard game and guard retention and attacking from the half guard and inverting very smooth and fun to watch. I thought Cyborg won.
That Cyborg is an animal. Animal with a sick guard. Hate seeing him lose this one. It's only the opinion of the judges.
Lol Nicky Rod throws Cyborg for Ipon at 9:08 💪 gotta love it
Drysale try to praise cyborg guard but nick response with your passing system. Bravo
Tonon vs Leon now !!!
16:05 left upper corner of the scree, is that Gordon? and who's the other guy?
Gordon takes Lucas Barbosaroids’ back
@@FoxMalabar has that fight been posted anywhere?
PoopMalabar 1002 hahahahahahaha barbosaroid 😂😂😂
Americans are tearing it up, love it.
im glad nicky won but that should go to overtime as many times as it takes
Cyborg venceu, quase pegou o braço! Nick não ofereceu perigo em momento algum. | Cyborg won, almost took his arm! Nick offered no danger at any time.
I don’t blame Nick but I think Cyborh won. It was close but he got the better of the scrambles and nearly got the arm, had a decent triangle attempt. Nick has nice throw but it did not result in getting close to a dominant position. Nick won the wrestling but adcc rules cyborg won imo
CYBORG... Gestos desrespeitos, ..., Ele é um grande brigador, ok, já lutador, honra...?
Hilarious. My favorite part is the cyborg outrage
Wait. Is commentator the Bjj historian dude?! Sick!
NADA mais, nada menos que um show
Good cyborg loss. He just stayed on the ground the whole time defending.
JUICY .....
Top
Unbelievable that Nicky is just a bluebelt. It's gonna be interesting how he evolves. Mr. Danaher and the DDS are on top of the submission game!!!
Why do they get on the ground like that on the start, is that a penalty punishment?
15:28 Nicky got distracted by Gordon's match next to their mat
Good decision
Great fight, both very tough opponents cyborg got robbed.
Back watching this again. nicky rod being blue belt This really has me questioning these guys bjj nogi skill set. And i know cyborg and Ali are legit.
I watch a lot of CSGO matches.... this caster Ricardo sounds SO much like Moses!!!! It’s insane.
Dont know how cyborg thought he won by just defending and looking for counters when nicky kept attacking
Buchechas vs kaynan 🙏🏻
I cannot understand jiu jitsu. Like what if they both lay on their backs?
Gordon Ryan vs Marcos Buchecha
Junior Cristaldo with both Gordon and buch laughing at buch's heel hook attempt 😂
@@aplus1080 Felipe pena
?
I dont know alot about bjj but It looked like Nick was more on the offense all the time and the judges liked that in the tournament I think the commentator said yeah?
Offense is trying to submit people, no matter how much you move, efficiency is key and submissions attempts should score, rest is just void
@@Mizernyi agreed but Cyborg didn’t do much of anything. Match could have gone either way but Cyborg being shocked that he lost is ridiculous. The guy is a twat and he’s proved it towards the end of his career.
Fu*k yeah
I'm not too familiar with ADCC rules, but why didn't Cyborg get two point for the takedown (9:55)?
Only shoulder touch floor and remain 3 secs can earn points
Cyborg is a favorite lol, I still refer him as dent head..
8:19 wtf is that
Pseudo knee slide?
Atomic Bomb Drop attempt 😁
The ball crusher
That, my good sir, is called the nut smasher.
Jonathan Iboa 😂😂😂😂 I am def trying this in the gym.
Nick é o primeiro atleta a perder duas lutas e chegar na final 😂😂😂😂
Ele ganou ambas
This was an amazing match but please upload Gordon vs Buchecha and Gary vs Renato !!!!
Yoyu can watch Garry vs Renato on the WNO Podcast with Garry and Gordron Commentating.
Gordon ryan chill as fuck watching the decision goes to his teammate.
whos commentating?
Ele perdeu
Imagine a blue belt putting the work in on you for 15min and thinking you just did something.
Am I an idiot or shouldn’t the pull right away been a negative point?
It should be, but I don't think that's in the rules.
чем Сайберг был недоволен?
он вел схватку пассивно, а его оппонент хоть и немного, но рисковал, и работал явно больше...
?
Posta Kaynan e buchecha
Yeah nicky rod definitely won that
Nick is going to become the Charlie Zelenoff of jiu jitsu once he loses his athleticism.
The guy is competing about his level in BJJ, you don’t think he is working on improving his skills? Lmao
@nyc king You're acting like wrestling isn't a grappling art. You BJJ guys always get so defensive whenever a wrestler fucks you up on his first day.
Also what's the point of being a black or blue belt guy when you're beating the shit out of the top guys anyways. Jon Jones is blue belt but has multiple sub wins against black belts. Shows you BJJ ain't all that. All you need is basic submission defence to add to a Wrestling/Judo base to be a good grappler.
that is the most idiotic comment i have read in a long time...charlie is no athlete, just an internet troll..nicky is helping jiu jitsu grow, the sport needs more guys like him
@@essamlofty2748 I literally hardly ever see bjj guys complain over the internet about wrestlers, what I do see is wrestlers getting all master race about their stuff being "better 4 tha streetz." Theres different levels of black belts because theres so many different teachers who promote for different reasons. Literally all you meat heads say is the same thing, do some rucking research before peddling these dumb arguments.
Essam Lofty wrestlers are always so salty because straight wrestling gets mutilated by BJJ every time.
Whenever good wrestling meets good BJJ the wrestlers almost always run away because they are so scared of the ground
🤣🤣🤣
All the sudden you see reverse wrestling all over the place.
Best combination is phenomenal Jiu Jitsu and great kickboxing.
A great example is Maia vs Woodley. Woodley was a dominate wrestler and spent his entire camp working on: you guessed it submission defense (aka BJJ), and above all wrestling and running backwards. He backed away SMARTLY from the ground fight something like 20-25X over 5 rounds. He won the decision because he had better striking than Maia. Which again proved my point: phenomenal Jiu Jitsu and high level striking is the most lethal combo. Maia just has unathletic and poor striking so he was missing one component. Woodley had 2. Wrestling which he only used to not fight, and striking which was better than Maias’.
Another Perfect example is when former World Heavyweight UFC Champ Fabricio Verdum beat up and then submitted the monster wrestler and cardio machine Cain Velasquez. Cain was afraid to take him down and then couldn’t win the standup war either. After getting soundly out-struck the wrestler Cain fell back on wrestling and got quickly choked out by the Jiu Jitsu master by sticking his head into a guillotine which is what pretty much what every tired (or untrained in Jiu Jitsu) wrestler always does when they are losing the striking battle 🤷🏾♂️
Wrestling by itself REALLY makes you a sitting duck unless you have good Standup fighting to back you up. Or great submission defense (which is not wrestling at all- its BJJ).
libera a luta do galvao x preguiça ai.....
This kids legit as they come. I hope he’s doing boxing and kickboxing on the side, just for fitness alone and when it’s his time to enter MMA, his striking won’t be as behind as normal. Beast.
Gave him the Schaub shutdown
Nick was trying to pass the whole time. Sitting on your ass with a closeish arm bar ain’t enough
Garfado
Cyborg not able to ragdoll a wrestler like he did with Hulk.
Belts are not proof of level in Bjj .
Tom will do I mean... yeah they are. It's just there are levels beyond black. And 200+ pound dudes aren't good at Bjj 😂
you forgot Nick is incredible wrestler.
