- In the wrestling world, legitimacy is one of the things most desired, in a program the world knows is "fake" there is no more legitimate wrestler than Brock Lesnar. After starting his career as amateur wrestling out of the University of Minnesota he was signed to a contract by WWE. He'd later report to OVW before being called up to the WWE main roster in March of 2002. Shortly thereafter he'd see massive success winning the WWE championship, and over the coming two years he won the king of the ring, royal rumble, and was part of some of the biggest feuds in the company. The next big thing had arrived, but he had intentions of leaving WWE behind and pursuing other ventures. When he left he dominated the MMA world before returning home where it all began. In this video, we take a look at possibly one of the greatest pure athletes of all time, Brock Lesnar.

People don't realize the importance and true value of a certain wrestler, until they're gone. It's a cycle for wrestling fans. Luckily for me, I am and always have been a Brock Lesnar fan. The man is easily one of the greatest wrestlers to have ever stepped foot in the squared circle. He's without the shadow of a doubt, one of a kind. If you consider a list of all time greats, Lesnar's name has got to be in there.

Lesnar is way better than anyone gives him credit for. And I don’t think he’d be the star he is now if he didn’t leave and go try football and the UFC. It gave him this aura of being an absolute freak athlete that can do nearly anything he puts his mind to. And currently he’s one of the best things about WWE. He looks like he’s really enjoying himself this time.

People bash on Lesnar being a part timer but forget 2 things:
1. WWE's schedule sucks. Many ex-wwe wrestlers have said that the schedule is hard and taxing on the body. If brock has negotiated better pay for less dates, then good for him. Many wrestlers would kill for the contract brock has.
2. He's an attraction. You can't have him show up all the time or he'll lose his aura and won't feel special. Save him for the big shows where you'll make the most money with him.
Brock deserves credit for being bigger than the wwe. He's positioned himself to where he doesn't need them, THEY need him.

One of their greatest signees in the last 20 years. Brock Lesnar is still going. The man is an absolute unit, but at this point, I’ll consider him a legend.
You have no idea how much of an impact this man was in my developmental years. He is the reason why I got into fitness and eventually into athletics. I've learned early on that Lesnar was an absolute specimen; once in a life time athlete. I didn't care for the criticisms because we will never judge a gorilla in the wild for doing stuff gorillas do. People who hated Lesnar didn't understand his purpose in his life and in the business in the WWE. He wasn't a John Cena, an Edge, etc. He was a legit athlete. He was an NCAA D1 Heavyweight champion then went onto become a former UFC heavyweight champion. You don't put Lesnar with the normal population. He never needed to be on the show regularly because he didn't need to. He solidified himself as a legit final boss. Once he officially retires from sports, you'll never see another man like him in the wrestling business again. Once in a life time athlete and draw to the sport of wrestling. Period.

Without a doubt Brock and Kurt are the true legit wrestlers to have been at the top of the WWE , Brock even went on to become the UFC Heavyweight Champion...A feat that other wrestlers have tried and failed miserably , Namely CM Punk. But I have to say being an Olympic Gold Medalist is the Top Achievment for anyone representing their country in their chosen sport , But let's not forget that Brock was also An NCAA Division 1 Heavyweight Champion which is also an amazing achievment , But for me personally I really liked the Attitude Era of WWE with the most entertaining pro wrestler of them all in my opinion...Which is Stone Cold Steve Austin , He was just on another level of entertainment and before that when I was a really young fan at the age of maybe 7....I really thought there was nobody like The Ultimate Warrior. I'll never forget Wrestlemania VI when The Warrior beat Hulk Hogan for the Title and was also the Intercontinental Champion too...Man what great memories...!! Mark G Dublin Ireland !!

I used to not care much about him (still love see him perform though). The more I think, the more I’ll miss him when he finally retires. He is such a unique individual. The energy he brings is so special. He has great gimmick as well, absolutely love the Suplex City.
brock is the real deal man, the time he had before moving into ufc was the best time WWE actually was. he was the true monster, he was the destruction. And after his return man his first game with cena dragged more attention than any other. i thoroughly enjoyed him. best wrestlers ever, other guys are just a plane talk and average wrestling but brock has everything in his arsenal.
Brocks best feud when he came back was with Samoa Joe. I wish it went on longer.

Brock Lesnar is definitely one of the best. It never felt out of place to win either, or like there was a bunch of political shenanigans behind him. He lost when he was supposed to, but still made the people look good, he won most of the time because it just made sense for the guy to be dominant. Definitely top 5 hands down
