Korean government refused to give precise map information to Google which is foreign company due to the security concern that north Korea could get it somehow and use for the artillery, missile and reconnaissance targets of military bases and facilities. Naver is domestic and is allow to use the information. S. Korea gave an option to Google that it will allow if Google removes the military information from the map as a condition to use. But Google rejected offer. So, use Naver map instead in Korea.

Google already has its own satellite images, and Korea has requested modifications to these, so even if it does not hand over military facility information, the problem is that it is still possible to confirm it through photos.
